Both were perfectly cooked. Cocktails were good. Service was a bit slow. Recommend a "please seat yourself" sign. Was confusing to patrons entering. Servers and bartender saying seat yourself as they hurriedly passed by people standing inside doorway. Server dropped off menus after we sat for 5 minutes at table. It was another 10 minutes before she came back asking if anybody took our order. We said no and she said with frustration " I guess I will take care of you". Took the drink order. Went and served food to 3 other tables. Finally brought drinks but forgot the waters. Did take the food order. The food did come promptly after we placed the order. It seemed they might be 1 server short. Most are short these days. We will return for certain. Food was very good. We were approached by a "Manager" to check on the food quality.

But this location has pretty good staff consistently. They must train pretty well. I've never gotten anyone really horrid. Always clean, and haven't had to wait long for service ever; even when they are busy. It is nice to have the rest of the station store to buy snacks from. Though it is a bummer to have to take them up to the front to buy them separately from the Subway. That's how they all are though, so meh. I guess the only critique I have about this place, is that it would be nicer if it was more segregated from the rest of the gas station; and actually had a place to sit down and eat if you wanted to. This is a take out only place currently. (in the past, there was a place to eat... but not anymore)

A dedicated bakery in Au Gres should be displaying their wares and tradition. They look to be happy with just getting by and letting the Walmart and Neiman's in Tawas sell the baked goods.

Based on my initial experience I will definately consider this market in the future where I will be leaning towards a nice Ribeye the next time round. We were seated immediately, the turnover was quick, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I've heard great things about their breakfast nachos and will definitely be trying them next time.
