The whole menu is geared towards down home comfort food. Clean rustic atmosphere with flat top tables. Prompt friendly service. Competitive prices. I was impressed that they had clover and Apple Pay. Watch the hours though because they frequently close at 2pm. I would definitely return when I'm in the area.

Keno for added entertainment. We had the Italian Steak Sandwich and the Tearjerker Burger. The food was excellent. Highly impressed with the burger, should be on the menu.. Both were perfectly cooked. Cocktails were good. Service was a bit slow. Recommend a "please seat yourself" sign. Was confusing to patrons entering. Servers and bartender saying seat yourself as they hurriedly passed by people standing inside doorway. Server dropped off menus after we sat for 5 minutes at table. It was another 10 minutes before she came back asking if anybody took our order. We said no and she said with frustration " I guess I will take care of you". Took the drink order. Went and served food to 3 other tables. Finally brought drinks but forgot the waters. Did take the food order. The food did come promptly after we placed the order. It seemed they might be 1 server short. Most are short these days. We will return for certain. Food was very good. We were approached by a "Manager" to check on the food quality.

Walked into the entry lobby/baked good take out area and found one dark display case with barely any doughnuts and empty trays. They'd been open for over an hour and no fresh doughnuts were out- it wasn't because they were sold out. It just was a depressing display. I really wanted to support them, but, here it is, Fourth of July tourist time, and they came across as just not caring. Off to Tawas. I was looking for a steak to throw on the grill and wanted to give this business a try as there are only a handful of markets on this side of the state that specialize in meats. They had all the meats you would expect too see where I settled on a Porterhouse steak based on 1). how the steak looked and 2) price which was very reasonable especially in light of todays inflated meat prices at $12.99 a lb . Upon getting the steak home I was quite pleased with the end product. The meat had an appropriate amount of fat for a Porterhouse, was very tender and just as importantly was very flavorful where the meat was definately a cut above the other grocery stores in the area and on a par with Neiman's which has tad higher prices in my opinion. Based on my initial experience I will definately consider this market in the future where I will be leaning towards a nice Ribeye the next time round. People are friendly and the location just a block off of US23 is very convenient and hard to \beat considering its close proximity to other key business in the area to include Walmarts, coffee shops and assorted restaurants.
