Growing up we had dogs and cats. Now I have 8 cats and I feed a small stray population (all fixed) in me neighborhood. But the more I work inside the semiconductor industry, the more I want to get away from the noise, the people, and be w/ the animals. When animals are hungry, they eat. When animals are tired, they sleep. When there are conflicts, they fight. They have no hidden agenda. They will love you unconditionally no matter what you bring to the table. Booking the reservation was easy. You pay half of it first to secure the timeslot. At the time of your reservation, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance. Paying cash will give you 10% off. You can bring children and even your dogs! They have a small area for kids to play. You can bring fruits/vegetables or purchase food for $10. All of their animals (cows, chickens, alpacas, goats, rabbits, and dogs) are secured. You can feed them, take selfies w/ them, and pet them but you cannot be inside the enclosures. The cats are healthy and friendly, they roam the property. There wasn't a single area I saw that wasn't maintained. Every animal and every enclosure were clean and well taken care of. Jasmine and Andrew were personable, friendly, and you can see how much love and patience they radiate. I cannot wait to head back. This time I will bring Gavin. From that day on, I decided to stop consuming lamb, goat, and a day after turkey. i am not trying to be vegan or a vegetarian but I wanted to reduce my carbon footprint what w/ all the AI data centers and the artic no longer being protected, I just feel it's my duty to do my part in helping preserve this planet not just for my kids, but for all living beings on this planet - mainly the animals.

The kids and adults all learned so much about tortoises, and the whole experience was incredibly informative, hands-on, and just so cool. How often do you get to get up close and personal with giant tortoises like that?! The owners were so knowledgeable and kind to open up their home and space to all of us. This video is just a small example of what happened. There were multiple instances where both the man and his wife raised their voices not only at the kids, but also at the parents. While the children still managed to have fun, the overall environment felt stressful and uncomfortable for many of us. We understand that managing large groups of young kids can be challenging, but the way the situation was handled made what should have been a positive field trip feel uneasy and disappointing.

I had a chance to talk to the nice lady who is the owner and she explained what she's trying to do here. She's growing tons of vegetables, on a place that other otherwise would just be dormant land. The cherries were easy to pick even for our little kids, and there were a few ladders in the trees as well. We went on Memorial Day weekend so there was also a shaved ice tent and cannolis and Italian spritzes available for purchase. The farm was also selling sweet corn at the cashier. We ended up with about 8 lbs. You can bring your own food, drinks and your own bag/backpacks. Don't forget snacks, sunscreen, a hat and drinks! Also a cooler for your produce!

Lol We ended up getting a dozen as he purchased the $20 per person for both of us. So much sunflowers! Hahaha I love it. We trimmed the stems in their tables area, and returned the cutter to the front. I saw that the person offer twine so I asked for some twine to help tie our bouquet of sunflowers. I definitely enjoyed being here, and I've been here twice so far. First time my bestie took me here to celebrate my birthday two years ago. Then the second time I came here with my boyfriend! :) They don't have a parking lot, but you can park on the street for two hours according to the street sign. To get this experience going, you'll check-in with the staff and let them know you want to do the sunflower experience. It's $20 for 6 sunflowers and they give you looper (thing used to cut the flowers), sign a waiver, and you can into the two different sunflower fields to pick which ones you like. If you want to walk the fields, without picking flowers, it's $12 per person. Once we paid, we grabbed our looper and headed out. We had the dogs with us, and they had a blast just walking around and taking in the scenery. We found the sunflowers we wanted, and headed back toward the entrance to cut and clean the ones we picked. When we were finished, they wrapped up our flowers in a bag with some water so they could make the journey back home with us. The staff here were amazing. Since it was our first time doing this, they were patient with us and explained their best tips to cut and clean. Very nice people all around! Definitely a fun coast side experience and a great thing to do when the weather is as nice as it's been. If you are planning on going out into the fields, highly recommend bringing shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

The large jumping arena, the small covered dressage court and the full sized mirrored dressage court and lunging arena are groomed and watered every day, sometimes twice a day. They have an aggressive fly prevention system and haul off all manure. There are hardly any flies and you don't leave the barn covered in dust, which is rare on the west coast. When I was at Sunny Hill, most barns on their road had between 7-10 cases of pigeon fever, Sunny Hill had none. Jennifer the owner, goes above and beyond in horse care. They will even feed your horse out of a slow feeding hay bag so he can eat at a more natural rate throughout the day. Top quality care, pristine boutique facility, oh and did I mention you can ride a short distance to Mt. Diablo trails? Not bad..
