I am so grateful for Ms Dulci and the teachers at Creative Hearts. I couldn't imagine a more caring, compassionate, and creative group of people to care for my little one. Getting used to daycare was not always easy (for my son or me!) but knowing he is in such caring, capable hands made it so much easier. They are so great at keeping us informed of his progress throughout the day, sharing photos, videos and texts as needed. Now my son asks to go to Ms Dulci's house on the weekends! We're so happy our son is going to Creative Hearts!!! We have been to 3 different daycares before due to moves across the Bay and hands down this is the most caring, attentive, and nurturing environment we've experienced. We feel so lucky we were able to secure a spot here! My son is very slow to warm, very cautious. Ms Dulci, the director and head teacher, keeps me updated about his progress and does 1:1 coaching with my son so he can find his courage! I love that they do show-and-tell so kids can nurture that strong voice they have within them. There's also an emphasis on being kind and lifting each other up. It's so wholesome to hear kids yelling "so and so is amazing, we love you!" In addition to Spanish, they're also starting to integrate Mandarin, which is so important to me, personally! Kids here get exposure to 3 languages!!! There's also ample space in the backyard where kids play! This preschool offers all the things that are important to us like 1:1 attention to find courage, language exposure, kindness, time outdoors, family events, arts & crafts. We are so lucky that this preschool exists and we get to experience the magic that Ms Dulci and the teachers here make everyday! read more

We have been at Creative Hearts for five months now and absolutely love it. The space that is created is intentional and supports development for all ages. We particularly enjoy the amount of outdoor time and art time that is apart of the school day. My daughter is almost two and we've seen her grow a lot since starting to go here. The level of communication from Ms Dulce is unmatched. We receive pictures, updates on naps and food consumed. It's great to know my child is well taken care of and learning so much! Creative Hearts was my daughter's first out of home care and immediately upon walking through Dulci's home I was put at ease. Miss Dulci, Miss Wenn & Miss Wetta all took such great care of my daughter making sure each day was filled with creative activities for learning, playing and practicing kindness. There is a private Facebook group for daily updates, community events and lots of holiday/birthday celebrations for the kids. We potty trained during our time here and everyone was respectful and supportive of helping make this big transition easy at school. It was heart wrenching to move my daughter elsewhere but we had moved further from the school making the commute too far. If we had not moved I would have kept her here (as well as my next!) for a long long time. There is nothing better than finding care for your child similar to what you strive for at home. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to send my son to Creative Hearts. We toured several schools and instantly knew that this was the right one for our family. My son has been attending CH part time for three months and he is learning so much. Dulcinea is incredibly warm and patient. She genuinely cares for her students and is so nurturing. My son has been going to Creative Hearts for the last few months and I couldn't recommend this preschool enough. He is always excited when we drive up to the house, runs in as soon as the door is opened by Dulcinea, and is happy and telling me all about his day when I pick him up (in his language as he is only 22 months old and only knows a few words!). When I first visited the preschool a few months before I just had a good feeling about the place, the toys, the art projects I saw on the wall, and Dulcineas demeanor. For me, it is most important that my child is safe, loved, is introduced to new things, and most importantly, can be a child when at preschool, and this place checked off all those wants. Unprofessional / glorified daycare with lackluster run down facility run out of the owners home. I don't recommend.

I became aware of the Creative Hearts daycare towards the end of June as it was set to open in early July. My husband and I had been to a few tours at other places but nothing really stood out for us. When we went for a tour at this daycare, we were struck how quickly our daughter felt comfortable as she took the owner's hand to go see the play space and started playing with her kids almost right away. That was a really good sign for us, so we signed her up for two half days a week to get her used to socializing with others and being away from us. She's been going since July 12 (then 20 months old) and seemed happy from the start as there was no drama at drop offs, she was off to the races! Dulcinea, the owner, is so kind and gentle and it's obvious she has that something special that one looks for in a caregiver of young children. She has many years of experience in the childcare arena which is reassuring. She's very approachable so if there are any issues to bring up she is receptive to different solutions which is always appreciated. When I drop off my daughter lately, she's eager for the door to open and claps excitedly once Dulcinea comes to greet her and just bolts inside which is so nice to see. She comes home tired and ready for a nap (most times!) and we've noticed she's saying more words now and sharing things. She seems to really have fun there which is wonderful. Everyday has a theme and she comes to the door with a new art project each time. It felt a little strange leaving my child at what was essentially a stranger's house the first few times but I quickly saw that she's happy and thriving there so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this new space to other parents. read more

We were extremely nervous sending our child off to her 1st daycare experience, but Dulcinea made the process simple & we felt confident leaving our little one in her care. We were searching for an intimate setting that wouldn't be too overwhelming, but still allowed the kids freedom to socialize, explore, and play independently- and Creative Hearts was the perfect combo. It is clear that Dulcinea loves her job and genuinely cares about the learning and well-being of all of her students. We absolutely LOVE Dulci and Creative Hearts. My husband and I knew immediately upon meeting Dulci that this was where we wanted our three year old son spending his days. Her approach to teaching is compassionate and truly "heart led"; she is zen calm, thoughtful and very empathetic and the children pick up on this! We had been in a more traditional preschool and our son was withering, he did not want to go to school at all. At Creative Hearts he loves school and we literally have to drag him out at the end of the day. For us, that is everything. :) Dulci is responsive, communicative and plans wonderful activities (lots of outdoor time) throughout the day. We are so happy we found Creative Hearts and Dulci. Creative hearts is such a wonderful preschool! My 3years old girl is currently attending and is so happy to be there. She had no English-speaking experience at all but due to the teacher, friends, and awesome education environment at school, she loves learning a new language. The teacher is so amazing, genuinely cares about kids, and is always patient. She does so many activities including writing, music, and kids yoga. My girl enjoys alphabet games, playing bells and xylophone, and posing yoga. All are learning through play and exploration. My girl gets intimate care in a small class. If you're like me you've toured countless schools and wondered if you will ever find that perfect program for your child. It really is such a daunting task to find somewhere/someone that you truly feel comfortable and confident leaving your little one with but rest assured that if you've found Dulcinea at Creative Hearts you have found a true treasure. She is calm, warm, nurturing and so much fun! Her in home classroom is comfy, cozy and full of fun and learning. My little guy (age 3) had never been in care before and I was so nervous about the transition but Dulci is so wonderful and seasoned in her profession that the process really has been easier than I ever could have dreamed. He enjoys school and his friends so much. He's learning not only letters and numbers but also about being kind, and working through emotions. There is not a day he doesn't come home with a craft or artwork that he is so proud of and there has been many days spent learning and celebrating different cultures and holidays. We have been so fortunate to be part of this school. Having been on long waitlists for a while and coming out of covid, we were attracted to the idea of a home based school. My 18 month old cannot wait to go to the day care every morning, which for a parent is a huge, huge relief.
