The hedges in front of this place hadn't been cut back in a long time. It looked spooky! I was quite impressed and surprised once I got inside. Everyone was in a great and helpful mood. That put me at ease for sure! The hygienist that cleaned my teeth and performed my dental x-rays was super and has a fantastic personality! She gladly listened to me and acted on a request or two of mine. The doctor was super intelligent! He had all the right answers to my questions! I like him a lot! I was given information by Dr. Bryant and made my own decisions based on our discussion. As a matter of fact, I like everyone here a lot! Just goes to show that the old saying: You can't judge a book by its cover is true!

The first few years we were there was good but mostly when we had insurance or the self pay with their instagrin program. Once we got on Medicaid it for sure went down hill. Then I got the news there were no longer going to accept it so they wanted to get her cleaning in and be done with her. The last cleaning appt was so quick, wondered if they even cleaned anything. They sent her out with her little bag and no figure appt made. Didn't asked if we wanted to possibly self pay or buy their plan. They were just done with her. Well now we have dental insurance again so I guess I'll look for a new dentist since they apparently didn't care about keeping her since she was a poor Medicaid kid for a year or two.

Pros: Efficient and able to get in quickly. Warm and welcoming staff. Cons: my lip got all "chewed" up from them using the tools and hands while working on my tooth. instead of making sure my numb lip was out of the way it own feels like I have a canker sore. One time did reach up to move my lip to get from being pushed on my teeth. The dentist got my new CEREC tooth all settled, while the tech finished it off he left. when the assistant was ready to get me check out up front I asked if they were going to check to see if the bite was correct? They forgot. She did it and it was perfect. I get that I got fit it, but please still take the time to care for the person mouth, now it feels like I have a canker sore and don't forget the protocol for placing a new crown. Otherwise, I would be back wasting both our time getting it done right.

It was like going to the dentist that I had 30 years ago....low tech for sure. So I was happy to see Wood Creek build an office nearby in Landrum, SC. What did I do? I got appointments for my guinea pigs....errr, I mean my kids....to get check ups there so I could scope out the place (is that wrong?). The first take....this is a very nice, high tech, modern, full service dental office with a really friendly and attentive staff. Doctors are great, too. Have seen two of the three of them now. On the last visit, my oldest daughter had to have some teeth pulled (recommended by her orthodontist) and they did a good job with the procedure and with her. Oh, I should add that our orthodontist (who is really great) spoke very highly of Wood Creek as well. For those of you that get nervous going to the dentist, there are even waterfalls inside and out to calm your nerves and help you think soothing thoughts. Or, there's a bar in town if you need pre-treatment :D Now that the kids survived, it's my turn and I'm feelin like its gonna be a good experience.

They didn't prescribe any antibiotics or pain meds. She ended up going to urgent care one day and then the ER all for the extreme pain because the office was closed. We came to find out that the appointment for the root canal was just for a consolation with the endodontist to see if a root canal could be done and if it couldn't they wouldn't be able to pull it. I called the office back and let them know what happened while they were closed and to see if they could pull it. Come to find out that they had to refer us to another dentist to get the tooth pulled. Don't go to this dentist. Pick a dentist that can do more than just clean teeth and do X-rays and one that can prescribe meds to help with the pain.

The woman who worked on me was great (the hygienist who did my cleaning and took my xrays). Very friendly. No complaints there. X-Rays - I have never had to take so many X-Rays in my life. I don't know if there equipment is from the 1960's or what, but I must have taken 25+ X-Rays. Every other Dentist I have ever been to can get it all done in 4 X-Rays. Talk about radiation poisoning, discomfort, and what a waste of time. Whatever they had to put in my mouth to take the X-rays was also very uncomfortable, and it actually didn't seem very hygienic. The dentist came in for barely a few minutes... he showed almost no interest in me and was out before he came in. Then at the end, they showed me all the "work" that needed to be done. Almost $5,000 of stuff that was wrong in my mouth. Pretty incredible considering less than 12 months before my previous dentist couldn't find anything wrong in my mouth... and considering I had no pain / discomfort etc. Not to mention I don't eat sugar or processed food, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol etc. I don't buy it. I don't trust this place... and while I am the first to review them negatively on Yelp they do seem to have negative reviews else where on the internet. 2 stars because my Hygienist was good. Otherwise, I wouldn't go back.

I saw Dr. Paul this morning and did a "meet & greet" of sorts. When I went back this afternoon, he told me he had prayed for me during his lunchtime. :) (where do you ever find that?) We talked about his dental ministry, his family, my family, and random odds and ends. His staff is like no other and absolutely precious! What a super team. I would highly recommend this office!
