I am a patron of auctions for close to 30 years. From North East Kansas way down to Southern New Mexico and in between, which includes this place. About 7 years ago, while in the south, I enjoyed a great auction house until the owner died and it was taken over by arrogances with lack of knowledge or respect for some of the estates property that they were working for. Those places should not be allowed any title other than "garage sale" and due to that behavior I stopped attending. (this is something that i enjoyed so much i wanted to share with my family and friends, until i kept encountering this behavior and could no longer condone it-so disrespectful and trash talk). After relocating back to the Midwest, and wanting to reclaim my passion for attending auctions, I asked my fiancé if he wanted to see what a real auction house was like; the passion the auctioneer has and the knowledge of most items which are also dealt with respect, not flea market/garage sale style. I was NOT disappointed!!! and my fiancé enjoyed it so much!! Not only on a professional level is this auction house wonderful but also on a personal level!!! Very welcoming. Thank you, Bryant Auction, for your efforts and to keep what is a timeless craft still in motion, especially when today's world is so impersonal. Integrity and Values, this place doesn't just know the words they know the definitions of these words and also actively practice them. Too bad negative stars aren't an option. These people are unethical and do not honor their agreements. Because they are verbal I suppose they don't have to. They do not keep appointments, tell you they are on their way and never show up and have an excuse for everything. Perhaps if they had more than 3 employees they could honor their promises. Find anywhere else to get rid of your stuff or save aggravation and just throw it away. My first clue should have been- we don't do contracts. read more

Will never do repeat business with Bryant auction and Real estate. Once shame on them, twice shame on me. Their business practices skirt the law. The auction, at best, is confusing. The auctioneer is constantly interrupted by Rick Bryant, with some other offer, while the auctioneer keeps raising the bids when nobody is bidding. A bidder called them to task when they last bid and the new, (unknown bidder), was $300.00 higher. The auctioneer had to restart the bidding. Buying a house that they are flipping is a nightmare. The house we bought is nowhere near their statement that it has been "completely remodeled in 2023". Doing business with Bryant Auction and Real estate is a serious risk! read more

I had never been to an auction, until my neighbors dragged me to this one. I was unsure about what was going to happen, but let me tell you, it was THE best entertainment I've had in a long time! The people watching here is UNBELIEVABLE, you won't be disappointed. It is surprisingly well run and organized, and you better be quick with your bids if you want something. I have purchased from the most mundane (kitchen bowls) to vintage furniture that was into the $$$$. So here's the scoop, take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the ride!! 1. The owner is the shorter, very friendly, chatty man in his 50's who, although he allows his staff to do the fast, auctiony part of the event, will jump in to give you information on the item, how much it's worth in his opinion, how rare it is and he brags regularly on his two college, educated kids who help him. Good for him, more parents should be proud of their kids. PS. I have seen him open carry, not sure if it's only on special nights, but don't be surprised. 2. If you think you will be bidding, you need to go into the office first and get a temp number. If you're going to be a regular, you can get a permanent number but you will need to give up some personal information. 3. Parking is all over the outside of the building, seems like you can park anywhere, but make sure you're not boxed in. 4. The stuff to be auctioned is EVERYWHERE! Outside, inside, boats, golf carts, furniture, books, weapons, tools, household stuff, anything you can imagine, it will be auctioned. 5. Miss dinner? They have a small snack bar in the back which, not sure how they do it, but they manage to put out some killer steaks and pork tenderloins. Also, drinks, small snackies and such. 6. WATCH other people before you start to bid so you know what and how to do it...some of them are very quick, and the stuff is sold lightening quick. If you still don't get it, (like me) any of the people in the audience will help you. 7. CC and cash accepted. 8. Items for auction come up on the big monitor on the upper left of where the auctioneers stand, and possibly online, not sure about that one. I'm pretty slow moving myself, and sometimes things move so fast, you feel like your dreaming. 9. I think the auctions starts around 530 but we never arrive until closer to 7 or 730. The auctioneers will auction all the small, chotsky stuff first, the big stuff goes last. 10. Yes, there is A/C and in the winter, there is heat. 11. The bathrooms are in the back and fairly clean. 12. Many of the people that attend the auction seem like they've been coming here for years. It's more like a big church family who know one another, but happen to have fast moving auctions during their get togethers. 13. Walk around!! Look at all the stuff, pick it up and poke around,everyone is pretty cool but the owner is what makes this such an interesting event. read more

This is not a place to sell your belongings! We used them and our stuff was not accurately accounted for. Our household belonging of my mother were sold pennies on the dollar or not on the list! Our family was paid nine weeks after auction! He was run out of town in Waterloo, Iowa his home town, for bad business! read more
