I will say the place is huge and there were a couple of extremely nice dinettes and tables. other than that....there was a heavy mildew smell throughout the store. Aisles where items were just tossed randomly on selves, if they even made it to the shelves. Bear Market is a great place to take your items. This business gets so much foot traffic, that stuff usually sells quickly. However, they need to designate one cash register for checking in items and have a separate line for that. I don't like standing in a long line along with people that are purchasing items when I am just bringing in items. That's the only thing I don't like about Bear Market. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They just need to work on a better system for checking in items. read more

This business is run by uneducated and ignorant owners. They refuse to change anything about the place that people would benefit from. Such as: training staff to accommodate their long lines of customers more efficiently, training staff to not lose consigner's items, training staff to be customer service oriented specifically problem solving skills, educating their consigner's so they understand the contract and check in process better, accommodate their consigner's with online electronic payments to them... I could go on and on. This place started off as a great idea for the community, but now it's obvious to many locals that have shopped there for years - the place is on its way out. I highly recommend anyone with money owed to them - pick it up soon or it may not be there later when they go bankrupt. read more

Awesome place I got this big cyborgs thing and I was able to turn it into a lizard cage for my bearded dragon but it worked supper good for it you totally need to go check out bear market and find some nice cheap stuff you want! EXTREMELY rude female co-worker by the name of Amaris. Short blonde hair. The store closes at 4:00. It was 330, they gave us warnings over the intercom, at 3:45 they shut their lights off in the whole store. Talk about a liability. Anyways, we waited in this huge line to check out, there was still a huge line of people behind us that needed to be checked out. After we paid for our stuff, I was peeking at the display cases on my way walking out. Wasn't buying anything, I was just looking as I was walking by because I had never been there before and obviously they were going to be done checking people out anytime soon. She said something under her breath as I walked by, so I turned around and said "excuse me" and she said "we're closing you need to get out" in an extremely rude and unprofessional way. Mind you I was walking towards the door this whole time. I don't think she thought I heard her rude comment after I walked by her. If you're going to work in customer service be a little nicer in the future, it'll go a long way Amaris! Do better girl! read more

I was in need of a whole summer wardrobe! I spent less than $60 and I came out with some truly quality clothes!

An employee accused us of stealing a luggage set because we unzipped the smaller bag out of the main luggage before we go to the counter. Then she charges us TWICE for something that was $18, so I'm out some money. Every time I go, every employee is cold and borderline profiling us as we walk in. We look like normal people and do not steal. It's just so upsetting to have such poor employee attitude. This is getting to consistent to go back to. read more

Bad in so many ways. Merchandise damaged by their huge stickers. Consignment rates are not feasible. They start running customers out when they are at their busiest. You keeping thinking, "there MUST be something I have to have here." Nope. read more

I use to love the bear market, now I hate it! The lines to either drop off your items or Purchase something is so long , I just turn around and walk out. No soap in bathrooms! When management was questioned, she reported they dont provide soap because people are messy with it and they don't have a "cleaning lady". When I approached management about the concern, I was treated rudely and badgered on social media. Poor customer service and germ infested facility. read more

***Before you start shopping, send the kids to the front desk and ask them to tell any of the cashiers that they're hungry. They have to growl like a bear and they will be given a little, funky sweet as a thank you. Today they were giving out gray, rat suckers. The nice young lady offered me one but I had to pass :-)**** This is a massive, warehouse sized consignment store. Lots of young Mennonite moms here trying to stretch a dollar. Pretty well organized, and very clean with ample spaces to walk through the aisles. There are lots of shopping carts when you come in, grab one, you'll need it. TONS of clothes, my girlfriends lost me at the first section. Books, lamps, kitchen , pictures, toiletries, all nicely displayed in a bear/outdoor themed building. Everything you can imagine is here, at least one of each thing. A dress up bear wanders around as sort of a goodwill ambassador. At one point she was handing out mini bags of popcorn. Also while we were there, people/cars never stopped coming by to drop off things to sell. Only four stars because some of these prices are outrageous, but that may be what the consigner is asking for. Interesting crowd, very interesting. :-) read more

Over-priced. WAY over priced. When I moved to the lake in 2008, I stopped by this store on occasion and the prices were reasonable for the most part. As time moved on, prices have increased dramatically. For example, an identical shirt 10 years ago was anywhere from .50-$1.00 whereas now you're looking at $5-$12 for a USED shirt. Don't even get me started on furniture. I've seen Queen basic metal bed frames for over $100 when I can go up the road to an actual furniture store and buy a brand new frame for under $80! It's unfortunate that a place with so much potential to move things quickly is instead a dust collector for overpriced household items and clothing. read more

The store is HUGE, nicely decorated and very clean. Prices are not "give away", but reasonable. Items are well organized and stock is rotated regularly. Customer comfort is considered (restroom, snacks available etc). It's always entertaining to browse. It's a positive addition to the Camdenton area. read more

Great place to get about anything. Love selling my stuff here, but feel there needs to be a different line to drop stuff off instead of one main line with shoppers as well. It's hard to drop stuff off when it takes 30 minutes of your lunch to check in one bag. read more

Bear Market is a 50/50 deal for me. Sometimes they have really good stuff, but other times it's not even worth going in. I understand the rules about 1 bag or box, but the box they made me put my stuff in was a joke. I couldn't fit 3 hoodies in there if I tried. Every time I have taken my stuff here it has always been name brand, hardly worn stuff; so it is frustrating that people drop loads of junk off and the people who drop nice and decent stuff off get a baby box. Also, my mom tried to create an account and got told no because they already had to many. We wouldn't have made the 45 minutes trip if there was any notification that this was an issue. Lastly, I was SO DISAPPOINTED in the fact I waited in line 25 minutes, to be disrespected. Nearly every experience I've had here has been awful, the workers have been rude. It's so disappointing because it's actually such a cool fun place to shop! read more
