The map here with Yelp (based on Google Maps) is wrong. This salvage yard is indeed on N. Harvey…read moreMitchell Pkwy., but it is 2-3 blocks west of Hwy 6, not where you see it on the map inset. It is shown correctly in Yahoo! Local, & Ask City. This is easily verifiable using Google Maps/Earth satellite imagery. That said, I made use of this salvage yard a little over a year ago, and while I didn't agree with the reviewer on Yahoo! Local, I did have a positive experience overall. I found one item on my list that visit, although I had to wait to speak to the counter-guy, then wait for another guy to direct me to the parts car I needed. I then had to wait for a talky customer when I returned to pay. But I think this place may have changed owners. The last time I was calling the local salvage yards, I had a heck of a time with this place over the phone. No one here pronounces a discernable greeting, so you start the call unsure you called the right place. They seem to take this with surly impatience, and they only become more curt as you try to articulate your question, and probably become either flustered or angry. The last guy I spoke with had an accent like one of the guys at nearby Autostar on Hwy 21. I really had no interest in finding out, since I can find that sort of behavior for free, without driving that far. If you do want to call them, then know the exact name for the part on your car, and learn which years have the same part. And then have them pull the part for you to have it ready, so you don't have to wait, or enjoy their churlish demeanor. Oh, I think they close early, possibly at 4 PM, whereas I've never been turned away from Gordon's at 5 PM, and have stayed there past 6 before.

Bryan Auto Recycling replaced my engine in January of 2010. The price was low, but it took almost 3…read moreweeks to accomplish this task. The day I went to pick up my car, I checked under the hood before leaving. They drained every one of my fluids and did not fill a single one back up. They also disconnected the hose going to my windsheild wiper and didn't bother to reconnect it (makes the blue stuff spray on the window). The engine they sold me had a faulty water pump which is inside the engine, but this is an accessory therefore not covered by the warranty. Mysteriously my AC broke with all of their "repairs" and has never worked since and never had a problem before. I was also told they would be able to pick me up to retrieve my car which changed the day my car was ready (to get it myself). Before this "repair" none of my fluids leaked. Now my power steering fluid leaks (due to a missing gasket-promise I didn't lose it), the coolant drains, and the oil leaks. If you go here do not let them touch your car!!!! but you can find parts fairly cheap.
