Once we arrived at the hotel front desk lady was not wearing a mask, hotel is under construction, all first floor was "closed", elevators out of service, I was NOT advised of the hotel conditions when I called prior to booking. The first room We were assigned AC did not work, we got moved. When requested the pool it was open but DIRTY! The bottom of the pool was nothing but mold and green water. A pool in such condition should NOT be "open" to guests. There was only two towels in the bathroom for shower, when we requested more so 4 of us could shower we were told there were no more towels! So basically don't book until renovations are done, they clean the pool and hopefully they get more towels.

The room was nice and clean, with a fridge and microwave. Free wifi is always fast enough for Skype-ing my family. I always enjoy the Bath & Body Works lotions and soaps. :) Thank you for the comfortable stay, Holiday Inn Express! Revision: Just before I left, the cooks brought out some small omelettes that had ham and peppers. They were much better than the eggs brought out before. More of these next time, I hope!

If I hadn't been falling asleep at the wheel, after driving 900 miles, I would have kept moving. 1). Forced to pay cash because they wouldn't take a company credit card. 2). Damp (no , wet) and moldy carpet. 3). 3 separate occasions where staff and their construction workers walked into my room while I was asleep (without knocking)...one who just looked at me until I asked him to leave. 4). I checked in at 3AM. The construction saws and hammers in the next room (with paper thin walls) started at 7am. 5.). Air conditioner was so noisy it was rendered useless. 6). Bathroom mirror was broken, removed from wall and sitting on counter leaning on wall. 7). Street 30 yards away turns into a truck thoroughfare at 6am. 8). Black beetles on bathroom floor. 9.). The burgundy carpet in one area was apparently damaged so it was cut out and replaced with grey carpet of a totally different texture. 6. The door to the adjoining room was covered, very poorly I might add, with sheetrock and uneven plaster. I could go on, but why? Just do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost. I frequent Pleasanton, Texas for work alot but always stay in the Best Western or something similar. I called every room in the area and they were booked solid for the night and now I have a story to tell out of it. If you're not afraid of scabies, hepatitis, and bedbugs, this is your place! If you enjoy a good, clean and comfortable night's sleep after a hard day's work, you're better off sleeping in your truck.
