The instructors have absolutely no clue what they're doing, the students are so rude here. No one knows what they're doing, I've had so many problems with my instructor. She never corrects her students, she does not know how to teach a class. Turning on a show and not telling us half the things we need to know is NOT teaching. The staff for the CCP program do not respond to your emails or problems unless they feel like it. This is one of the worst places I've ever been to. It's a waste of gas and your time. Our instructors expect us to leave high school early some days and miss our classes for us to come here and sit around and hardly do anything all day. The classes are terrible, nothing that they tell you about the school is true. They do not take care of any problems whatsoever, it's drama city and a headache. The instructors put you on the spot, they do not follow state board instructions. They lie about a lot of things, the students lie about what we've learned and what we haven't learned. This is such a headache of a school. Some days the instructor tries to rearrange class to be from 9-3:30 and i for one have school and i feel like high school is a little more important than a drama filled class. This is such a terrible school.

None of the staff have a clue what they are doing except for a select few. Many of the teachers are actually very good, but stifled by this school's horrible environment. I had to drop a summer class because they didn't have enough textbooks for everyone and "weren't getting anymore, sorry". Then I had to pay $60 just to get the drop fee removed from my account before they would send my transcript to the university I promptly transferred to (had to get as far away from BCC as possible). Some of my classes were good but my overall experience with this school was so amazingly dreadful that I transferred early to get out. They told me that I had to come in and take a placement test AFTER they had already approved me to take the courses that the test was required for (they were on my final semester schedule). When I scheduled it, studied for a week and called out of work to take the test, I arrived to simply be told "Oh, you don't have to take it actually. Seeya later" basically. Then, I get a call from them the next afternoon and someone tells me, "Oh, sorry you actually did need to take that." Absolute idiots run the place. I was so angry, I told them that there was no way I was coming back to waste another day trying to figure out how to do their job for them. Go somewhere else like Cape Fear or university and never look back at this horrific excuse for a school.

My friend went here years ago and I am amazed at how much it the population has grown. There are a lot of places to study, eat, or just hang out plus who can complain about $2 movies with free popcorn. Parking can be a little tough, so make sure are allowed to park where you plan to park and allow time to potentially have to walk a little. When I say a little I mean literally a little, this campus was designed to be easily walkable.

What upper management cares about is money…read more Overacceptance is damaging student experience, it is destroying the greenspace on campus, it is limiting parking options for students. Areas surrounding UNCW is not safe. There are murders and shootings and they want students within a 1 mile radius to walk and bike in a dangerous area to line their pockets. Facilities continue to be upgraded unnecessarily while others remain untouched and dilapidated. It is easily seen that the main goal of UNCW is not to provide higher education but to make upper management wealthy. As wonderful as I think professors and students are, it is all overshadowed by blatantly selfish decisions by leaders of the university. There has not been a semester in which some decision or policy has not screwed me over and squeezed me for my last cent.

The demeaner changed very quickly and we were told that the high school has not been opened that long and the teachers were not trained in that area and that they cannot and don't provide any accommodations to children and basically shown to the front door. We were REALLY disappointed I thought that a Christian based school would be one that accepts all students not just the ones that fit a certain mold. DISAPPOINTING!!!!
