SouthEastern Christian Academy has truly changed my daughter's life…read more From the moment she walked through the doors, we felt the difference. The environment is warm, faith-filled, and focused on both academic and personal growth. My daughter has blossomed--her confidence has grown, her love for learning has been reignited, and most importantly, her relationship with God has deepened. The teachers genuinely care and go above and beyond to invest in each student. They see potential, not problems, and that has made all the difference. My daughter comes home excited about what she's learning, encouraged by her classmates, and grounded in values that align with our family's faith.

The demeaner changed very quickly and we were told that the high school has not been opened that long and the teachers were not trained in that area and that they cannot and don't provide any accommodations to children and basically shown to the front door. The rate was VERY reasonable given the number of hours and the online resources. I passed the exam with ease largely due to the great guidance and quality of the course. I am now going to enroll in her post-licensing exam course. She has always been responsive and helpful to me. Highly recommend.

I was told by Gabriella to contact her when I was done completing the modules so she could give me the review sheet. Note: once I finished the modules, there was no prompt or anything for the final exam. In other words, I was under the impression that I had to schedule exam through her or just separate from the module(s). I contacted Gabriella to take the test, but I wasn't allowed because the course had expired. I begged her to please allow me to take the test-she refused and stated I would have to take the course all over again and pay as well. I called the NCREC AND Dearborne/Kaplan and they all informed that even though the rules state you have six months to complete the course, in the end, it's up to the school. I realize I had six months to complete it and I can see if I was requesting this with incomplete modules but I finished ALL of the modules and ONLY needed to take the test. I asked Gabriella if it was possible to receive some type of credit, etc to take the class over again or to just take the test. She never even considered that as an option because she stopped responding to my calls and texts. It actually appears that she blocked me. Why would you block a student who supported your business (and I was going to take my 3rd and last class with them as well) and is making a reasonable request? It's unprofessional and rude. Oh, and don't expect any help from the NCREC...it appears they are all on the same side. *Update: hours after this review was posted, Gabriella's husband called me...he yelled & threatened me, claiming I was harassing Gabriella. He proceeded to call me a bitch (more than once) & said he would come find me. Disgusting! Who's harassing who?

BCC is serving as Novant Health's COVID-19 vaccination site in Brunswick County, and this review is…read moreonly about that process. After making an appointment online for my first COVID-19 vaccine, my email instructions said to arrive no more than ten minutes ahead of my appointment time in order to reduce wait times. The first thing I noticed on pulling into the vaccination site was the National Guard presence. They are coordinating arrivals, putting cars into various lanes, and then checking each car for appointments and handing out paperwork. (Even if you filled out your paperwork online, you'll need to do it again. Why? No idea.) This initial process took about twenty minutes, all inside the car, and following directions as to when to move and where. Eventually, you'll be maneuvered into a holding spot to wait until the vaccinators are ready for you. Once you're at the final destination, you simply wait in your car for them to come to you. Easy peasy. After the shot, you'll wait another 15-20 minutes or so before being given the all clear to drive away. And when you get your first shot, you'll get a vaccination card with the date of your 2nd appointment, one month later, same time. The card is important. Be sure to keep it in a safe location.

If you're staying at one of the Brunswick County beaches and need a place to work out, I highly recommend this gem of a gym. I'm not a fan of the midday sun and heat, so a workout fits the bill before hitting the beach in the afternoon. The Gore Center is a beautiful, modern facility with window-filled cardio and resistance areas. Staff is really friendly and accommodating. I usually borrow a ball from the desk and shoot around in the (first-class) gym, then finish up with weights and cardio machines. It's $7 for a day pass, and it's a bargain.
