You can decide whether I'm bluffing or not. To clarify, I guess this is Stonebridge #1 Park, because there is also a Stonebridge #2 Park and for some reason they couldn't give them separate names? But this is an extremely popular park, so it's not just me glamorizing it. If you go to the park or drive past on any remotely nice day past 4pm, you will see DOZENS of people there. Just on the basketball court alone there are so many people hooping it, sometimes it stills boggles my mind because it doesn't seem like the park should be able to fit that many people. A few years ago Stonebridge #1's playground was completely torn out and renovated, and it is way awesomer now (it's a word don't even question it). Super clean equipment and fun stuff for all ages! Even as a fully grown adult I can't help but love their zipline ride or the swing sets. The regular swings are quite high up too, so you get a better swing once you get going, and there's even a double swing. Not only can you play around at the park, but there's also a nice gazebo and lots of picnic tables spread out around the grass, with built in grills nearby most of them. Tons of families go there in the evenings and have meals, and even family reunions. It's really sweet. And connected to the playground, basketball court and grill out areas is a ginormous field- there are soccer goals, a running path along the side, and all the room to do whatever your heart contents outside. There's often soccer practices held there, family and friends playing a game of football, people working out or other. My high school even hosts their annual Powderpuff football games on the field. Stonebridge #1 is a fantastic park, and don't you forget it (or get it mixed up with Stonebridge #2)!

There's a woodsy area with some worn trails, most likely for biking. There's a wooden lift bridge that crosses the river to Fargo. The playground is HUGE with something for every age group. There are interesting structures that I haven't seen at other playgrounds, and it's great imagination fuel for the kiddos. I also love that this playground is more accessible - there are structures for those in wheelchairs or limited mobility. The pathways through the park are also wheelchair accessible. I think the accessibility of the structures depends on individual needs. Extra bonus - lots of FREE parking.

We went on an evening cruise and decided to try and explore a little bit, and ended up at Lions Conservancy Park, which is only a mile or two from our neighborhood. What I didn't realize about this park, though, is that they have some amazing mountain biking paths. It was so much fun! Lions Conservancy backs up to the Red River, and the bike path goes right along the river so it's hilly and woody and so cool. There's another path on the other side of the river in nearby Iwen park. The path is also super user friendly. At the beginning there's a map of it, and even a QR code you can scan to access the map electronically, and boy is it helpful. There's also constant markers on the path so you know you're still going the right way. For those who are more seasoned with mountain biking (ie: not me), there's some built in jumps and fun challenges. I stayed way clear of those, because just trying to make it along the path was plenty enough for me. It's about a mile total and it really gets you sweating. So besides the beautiful paths, there's really not a lot more to Lions Conservancy. You can sort of see the river from the parking lot. You can't walk far without being swarmed by bugs and other. But what a beautiful and delightful little path! Certainly not for the faint of heart but all the better when you complete it!

"Wooden ships on the water, very free and easy Easy, you…read moreknow the way it's supposed to be" (Crosby, Stills & Nash) In May 1982, the Hjemkomst a massive full-size replica of a 78-foot long and 63-foot high Viking ship left Duluth Minnesota, sailed from Lake Superior across the Great Lakes into the Erie Canal, down the Hudson River to New York City and around the Statue of Liberty, then crossed the Atlantic Ocean and sailed to reach Oslo, Norway on August 9, 1982. When they arrived, Norwegian sailors gifted a keg of Norwegian beer to their visitors! After the ship returned to the US, it became the centerpiece of this beautiful museum run by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County. There are plenty of other exhibits to see, but the sheer scale of the Hjemkomst will captivate your attention during your stay.

I'd give the North park (#1) the top spot for sure. This one would come in a close second. There's a regular old playground, the big long walking/ running path that passes the park, and even a small frolf course. The thing I found the coolest about the middle park, though, is that there is a "bike repair" station-- literally a little post that has wrenches, a tire pump, and all kind of other tools and gadgets to fix any kind of issue your bike may have, all free of charge. Pretty neat if you ask me!

The staff was helpful as there was a huge mud puddle outside our door and they gave us boards so we could get in and out of our coach. Not many choices near Fargo. This is a very nice park but not really a campground for big rigs.
