The kids meal did not have the side substituted either. We left here with my wife not eating as we weren't prepared to wait so long for another sandwich. I had to chuckle that the lady at the counter felt she had to warn me about the Cheese & Onion sandwich containing salad. The baguettes were filled to the brim. Nothing special in their quality and ingredients, but filled that hole and great value for money. There was a wide choice of filling available in baguette and pannini - Although the prices of the paninis were probably more than double the baguette prices. They also offered an array of Spuds and Soups and even a breakfast tray. Along with your favorite filled goods there's shelves of pop and chocolate bars to choose from.

I ordered the Traditional. Don't know what's in it, but the customer next to me told it to me, so I say, OK! I had chocolate milkshake with that. The high tea looked really good. Unfortunately, there was no space inside the cafe, so we had to settle for takeaway and look for another place to grab some tea.

Opposite the entrance was a shelf of fruit etc. none looked local, and much was in plastic bags. There were things like pre-cooked rice in plastic trays for microwave, a few plastic tubes of organic - but not local. Then there was a huge table of bananas, all in plastic bags. Lidl looks more like a farm-shop than this place.

Breakfast Review: I…read moredo like an Indi deli. In fact I love an Indi deli. So much so that this morning, I cycled in heavy rain and a blustery wind, 17.5 miles to try out their breakfast. I was recommended this place by some of the fine people on Twitter. Their enthusiasm for the place meant I had to give it a go. It's a small shop in a group of shops on a residential road in suburban Bournville. There's no uniforms, just people that obviously care about their products and produce. That definitely included their breakfasts. Perfectly cooked bacon, (2 slices, not one as advertised), 2 sausages, a spot on golden yolked egg, a choice of plum or fresh tomatoes, great black pudding, (an extra), baked beans, (served in a separate dish), a good portion of fresh mushrooms and hand cut, crusty bread - as far as I'm concerned, a MUST for a quality breakfast - which this absolutely was. Coffee was good quality too, not too rich, just how I like it. In summary: 9/10 one of the best ones I've had. Excellent.
