I wanted to visit Cornwall, so bad, but it's too far from where we've been traveling. There will be a next time! But, here we are in Stratford-upon-Avon, stopping for 1 night, and I spotted this bakery specialized in Cornish pastry, so I thought this is as close to Cornwall as can be. And here we are! It didn't take us too long to pick, when there's this inviting sandwich staring at us, and outside tables to eat (people were just getting, and I grabbed a couple empty seats). I ordered the Traditional. Don't know what's in it, but the customer next to me told it to me, so I say, OK! I had chocolate milkshake with that. Hubby ordered the West Country pork, apple, & Cornish cider. Both sandwiches are hot & delicious! I ate all mine, leaving 1 bite of crush, I was getting full. Milkshake wasn't quite the size I had in mind, it was more of a child's portion. But it satisfied my cravings. Will go here again, next time! read more

Been here a couple of times since it opened, which is now a long time ago. While the prices are competitive, they dont of seem to offer the great range which is on offer in Gregs. The store is located in a busy area and it is easy to find, and i would say its worth visiting to see if anything takes you fancy. Staff are friendly and food is always tasty but wouldnt say it is better or cheaper than Gregs. One advantage is you wont have to queue up and wait to be served as there is often normally only a couple of people in the shop, which is of a good size. St ives pasty company is next to primark opposite cathedral lanes shopping centre. They make and sell pasty's. Aswell as a few other lovely bites to eat. The main special is pasty's , they are very filling hot and crispy. There is no where to sit but your not meant to eat a pasty seating donw inside. It something you have on the move. They have lots of different fillings too which is great for ever one as you will fins something you will like. as i said earlier they are hot, hot is an understatement. They are boiling hot. On a cold day the pasty doubles as a hand warmer too, so thats a nice bonus. The staff that serve you are very friendly and you can see all the fresh pasty's being made as the oven is directly behind the counter. So seeing the food there shows confidence and clenliness as the customer can see almost everything! They are better than in other pasty shops so its worth while going in.
