John is great thorough and able to do quote virtual over the internet which makes the process that much easier. Both times the price of the actually move came in lower than the estimate as the charge for the actual time. The movers I had for my second move were the same as the first and they remembered me. The guys are professional, friendly and skilled. No scratches or dents on anything they know what they are doing. They provide excellent customer service, arrive on time and work hard the entire time. I would definitley recommend them!

They simply worked around my mess. The 3 men were good, fast and extremely competent. They knew what to do with every situation. They not only handled the problem of my basketball net but also the challenge of my very heavy fridge. They took care with all items, large and small and everything arrived in perfect condition. On arrival they asked before placing each box in the different rooms. On my previous move with another company, the boxes were just dumped in the living room so I had a real mess to deal with. The bill was reasonable, and less than the competitors estimates. I can honestly say that these are the best movers that I have ever had and the only ones that I will call for my next move which is known to be in 4 years.

We were originally quoted 140 an hour for the 3 men, and they said it would take about 5 hours. Wrong.. 1 guy showed up with basically a young teenager, an hour later from the time we were told they would be arriving. We were confused but had no choice but to go ahead, as we needed to be out of the house by the end of the day. The 2 guys got what little amount of large items we had left to move in the truck within an hour and a half-amazing. We thought wow this is going to go smooth and fast. Then when it came down to the final large items-washer/dryer and fridge they could not move those items without the 3rd guy. So from 1pm to 3pm they sat in our driveway waiting for this person to arrive. I was really confused on how this was okay? If I am paying for 3 movers then 3 should show up for the day they are scheduled to. They gave us the run around saying well the guy has an appointment or he couldn't get a ride and it was nothing but non sense. Finally after 3pm another young boy showed up to assist. They were struggling to get the washer/dryer down the stairs and there was an issue with getting the fridge out of the house as it did not fit which took a while. Finally at 445pm they finished and took off to the next location which should have only taken 25 minutes at MOST 30 minutes. They did not arrive until 6pm. They decided to go get a drink for an hour and 15 minutes.. after sitting around for 2 hours. I am all for having a break and needing a refreshment but not when its on our dime and expense and taking that long that is not ok. When they arrived at the location of where we were delivering the washer/dryer and fridge the 3 guys struggled to bring in the items into the home of the gentleman who purchased our appliances and in the process scratched his floors along with the washing machine. I have no words for what kind of unprofessionalism occurred. They took an hour to drop those items off at this gentleman's house and during the drop off the 1 boy basically stood there watching as the other 2 struggled. The last stop was our new house which was about 7 minutes from the last location and at this point it is 7pm and we are just wanting this to be over with. My husband myself, my 70 year old father-in-law and 6 year old son are all unloading at this point just for this to be done before 9pm. I understand it was hot and the guys are sweaty, but half of my furniture items delivered were covered in their sweat, and with that came dirty wet hands, so there were dirt fingerprints on all the white dressers and ottomans. Some items were broken and damaged upon delivery as well. We finally finished at 830pm, and after numerous calls with the owner's mother, who was covering for her son, they still tried to quote us $1400. She gave us 100 dollars off for the inconvenience. I am shocked at what an unprofessional company Johnsons is. You request 3 people and get 1 person and children along with it. When we expressed our concerns to the woman, she told the guy why she was giving us a discount, and he decided to come at us for it, saying how can you say we didn't work? I explained to him that he worked his tail off that day, but the other 2 did not. And the fact that we had to assist during the move was a poor reflection on them. I don't understand how a company that says they provide excellent moving services contracts movers who aren't reliable and punctual. On top of all this, when we were looking to pay via credit card that day, the lady said that their accounts were having issues and the only form of payment was cash. Unfortunately, thats not really our problem as a customer. You can't expect people to have that kind of money in cash when you provide all forms of payment. I would highly recommend you use ANYONE else but Johnson's Moving! Worst experience ever.

Like small tools, etc. Every time I go to do a job I realize something else is missing. Everything I moved is unpacked and gone through many times trying to find certain things. I wanted to make sure before I wrote this review. I contacted the office and basically was told they couldn't do anything unless I could prove it. Other problems with the move as well but this is the biggest thing I want to warn others about.

    AMAZON VAN LINES worst moving experience imaginable…read more We moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia in January. The manager came to our house beforehand to assess how much needed to be moved. We were quoted 11,000 for a 26-foot truck for a 4 bedroom house. Even I knew that sounded too small and sure enough halfway through loading We were told everything wouldn't fit . That meant arranging a second truck and entirely second moving day. This is where they get you . They font have 18-wheelers for large moves. The second day was an absolute disaster. The movers showed up completely unprepared. * no floor runners. Tracked salt and slush all over the house. *Didn't wrap the furniture or box springs. . * their truck broke down in the driveway and I had to jump-start it with my own car. Both Trucks were sent to storage in Nova Scotia. The storage facility call us to inform us that the movers didnt lock one of the storage units. By the end of it there wasn't a piece of furniture that wasn't damaged. Almost every box containing glass had something broken inside. None of the box springs were covered so they were filthy and damaged. What started as a 11,000 quote ended up costing us nearly 20,000

They damaged the structure of the home while unloading. I had witnesses present during the damage. Amazon van lines Claims department told me they are not insured nor responsible for damages to the homes structure. Now I'm wasting time and money to have this matter legally resolved. Stay clear from this company.

I had removed all the draw from most of my furniture. I have no boxes just furniture. The dining room table was one of the very last items to be loaded and was carried out to the truck by ONE person it was not wrapped . At the other end I notice damage to the top of the table. It was not us the mover said it was you (me) that damaged the table. I know what happened the person carrying it to the truck hit a wall mount in the garage dislodging that from the wall and damaging the table. It has gone down hill from there. I as that the mover confirm on the invoice that damage to the table there Kyle the owner would not supply any insurance information He laughs and claim that I would only get 60 cents a pound for the damage and should go through my insurance for the repair his employee did to my table. THIS is a franchise so I am only commenting on this person. I would not recommend this mover to anyone.

Great guys, very professional they knew exactly what they were doing.During the move the hardware to my refrigerator door went missing rendering my refrigerator useless. I'm pretty reasonable. I get that things happen, somehow in the chaos the hardware went missing. My issue is the poor follow up, lack of communication and assistance from the owner/main office. I cannot count how many times I have called inquiring about the missing parts always being told someone would get back to me. No one EVER did. I even called and left a message that I have found an appliance place that will order me the missing hardware could the moving company reimburse me. No response. On top of all this I moved my moving date from Saturday to Sunday at their request. Because of bad weather and they had fallen behind with their booked moves so I accommodated their request. I was told I would get a $50 off my moving bill for doing this. I didn't get that either. Disappointing

They never stopped and worked like an organized well oiled machine. One was loading, while one took things apart and one playing tetris organizing in truck. Thursday was packing day, and a crew of three arrived precisely on time and packed up our house incredibly quickly and efficiently. Friday was the actual move, and the crew was again punctual and efficient. They arrived around 9am and by 11:30am we were fully moved and unpacking. We did a virtual walkthrough a couple weeks prior to the move so they could give me a ballpark estimate, and the final price wound up being about $30 under the estimate; pretty damn close. The best endorsement I can offer: I had a remote meeting Friday morning as the moving started which I took in the backyard so I was out of the way. I kept seeing my husband wandering around out of the corner of my eye, so I muted my audio to see what was wrong. His response? "I'm bored. There isn't anything for me to do, they're just taking care of everything." They really went above and beyond -- helped bring a bulky arcade cabinet that we weren't moving up to the garage from the basement, and even assisted with arranging the placement of rugs in the apartment so they were sorted out before piling on furniture and boxes. When we got settled and unpacked in the new place we found not a single thing was broken or damaged. I was impressed that beyond their obvious competence everyone was extremely friendly and easy to work with. I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone looking for a painless moving experience.
