This is my second time using Bird's Moving this year and I will definitely use them on my next and an future moves. John is great thorough and able to do quote virtual over the internet which makes the process that much easier. Both times the price of the actually move came in lower than the estimate as the charge for the actual time. The movers I had for my second move were the same as the first and they remembered me. The guys are professional, friendly and skilled. No scratches or dents on anything they know what they are doing. They provide excellent customer service, arrive on time and work hard the entire time. I would definitley recommend them! read more

This team was fantastic. This team was very empathetic to my situation and the mess my house presented because my job had changed from part time to full time with long hours so that I was not able to finish packing before their arrival. They simply worked around my mess. The 3 men were good, fast and extremely competent. They knew what to do with every situation. They not only handled the problem of my basketball net but also the challenge of my very heavy fridge. They took care with all items, large and small and everything arrived in perfect condition. On arrival they asked before placing each box in the different rooms. On my previous move with another company, the boxes were just dumped in the living room so I had a real mess to deal with. The bill was reasonable, and less than the competitors estimates. I can honestly say that these are the best movers that I have ever had and the only ones that I will call for my next move which is known to be in 4 years. read more

Definitely do not recommend Birds moving company. My antiques were damaged and gouged, and items that were heirlooms were damaged since alot of the boxes were dropped, placed upside down, on their side etc... .They did not cover the damage stating that they picked it up in the basement. Well they recorded the condition of each item as they loaded it and it did not arrive in the condition it was recorded as being in. Time to record the items cost ~1000. No coverage anyhow. I was offered to write down what was being unloaded halfway through the move. The driver was busy casing my house out and I spent most of my time trying to locate him since he would disappear. A lot of my items after unpacking were not located. Hence boxes were not delivered. I have half of my grandmother's teacups only and no saucers. According to Birds i either did not unpack them yet, or else i plain did not pack them at all ?!?!? what jargon is this but that of a company lying their way while keeping and holding onto your possessions. And can i go there to look through crates for my items ? NO, And they will not look for them either. I did not get a response about the coverage until i phoned Ian McPhail CEO and nothing was done to recover my grandmother's missing items, the items that she gave me nor my children's memorabilia who are no longer with me. My mother after seeing the state of my items hired Harveys and she was more than pleased with the crew and driver and the condition of her items and furniture after the move and storage and move again. she also paid a lot less. That was the other thing, When the man from Birds came he promised that my items would be taken well care of. I now know that this was a line since they took over $5K to destroy, and loose my things and never had the decency to look for the missing boxes nor repair the items they damaged. Instead they sell your items at auction (making more than you pay, do not refund your money although their estimate was over the actual time that they took to deliver.) Instead of treating the customer appropriately they flip the customer the bird. Hence i am surmising this is how they got their name. Thanks goes to Ian Mc Phail CEO of birds moving for loosing all of my heirlooms of my children, who are no longer with me and my grandmother's heirlooms as well. Ian Mc Phail is only as good as the output of his company. Well my review addressed that.. Harveys is the mover to go with. They were courteous, on time, charged less to begin with and less becasue they took less time. Items were delivered to the location indicated on the boxes, everything was delivered in the condition it was picked up in and nothing was missing, I was there for both movers and Harveys wins hands down. I recently moved with Bird's and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. My sales person was courteous and very helpful throughout the move even delivering some used cartons to me as I no longer am able to drive. The moving crew showed up on time, were clean and well dressed and treated my items as if they were their own. My items arrived at my new residence with no issues and the driver made sure everything was exactly where I wanted it before they left. I have moved many times in my life and can honestly say that this was the least stressful moving experience I have ever had. I would recommend Bird's Moving to anyone. read more

I cannot speak to other reviews, I can only speak of my own experience. From the beginning of the move, to the very end, it could not have gone better. Cameron, Mitch, Reggie & Brett, arrived on-time, were polite, well presented and took great care to move my belongings. I could not have asked for a better move. I have mobility issues and could not have completed any of what they accomplished. Their pricing was a little higher, but after having several quotes completed, Bird's was the best choice. I'm so glad I made the choice did. The crew were very well prepared for whatever I threw at them and did what was asked without hesitation or complaint. My move was in the city, but the crew had the challenge of my 3 storey walk-up, and having to carry my sofa up 7 floors at the new location. Not a scratch, mark, dent or missing box happened, even with a lot of glass and valuables. The entire team, from the movers to the administration accommodated me at every turn. I would recommend them above all others in the region. read more
