The last phone conversation had them quoting to put glass into the screen frames. What sure what is going on there but my advise is they need to lay off the weed, it's turning their brains to mush.

Ok, no biggie, I called the number and the guy came right over from the adjacent bar. Smelled a little of booze, but meh, didn't really bother me. We discussed the scope of work that I was looking to have done and he assured me that it would be no problem. I had to go and pick up the shelves that I was intending on having glass installed on and returned about 20 minutes later. There was no one in sight at the location upon my return. Finally, a crotchety lady came out of nowhere after I had been there playing with their dogs for about ten minutes and tried to help me, but was not really listening to me or grasping the scope of work that I was trying to have done. She called for Steve, which was the guy I spoke to originally. Steve comes out and begins to smooth things over as his cohort was still being crotchety and rude. They squabbled over the pricing for the job I was looking to do, Roberta I learned was the ladies name. She started taking down my info but completely butchered my name even after giving her my ID to use for reference. She quoted me $400 for three 8x8 bronze glass square tiles that were to have a curved edge for my bathroom shelves. Steve said that was way too much, and I agreed. He came up with a $290 quote and they argued back and forth over the price. I agreed that I would pay up to $100 a shelf for them to cut and glue the glass to the metal framing. Roberta insisted that she was close to $300 with her $400 quote, to which I again said I would be willing to pay $300, but $400 was entirely too much. She then said well you can take your business elsewhere to me, at which point I had finally had enough and agreed that I would not be doing business with them. Steve yelled at Roberta in front of me as I walked out. I went back in to retrieve the photo copy of my ID that she took and told her that she just lost $300 in business, which is way overpriced as it is, because they were incapable of being professional. She replied, "We're closing anyway!" I said good, and it's no wonder! I would steer clear of any business transactions with these two as they close shop, they have obviously given up on any type of customer service and professional demeanor, maybe even on life.

I had looked at the door, having taken framing courses, and knew it wasn't going to straight forward to remove the trim. I told the tech that and also said I hoped to replace the door with a new one soon that was energy efficient. Because I said that, they agreed to do my door as these 75yo doors can take cosmetic damage to remove the pane. Again, the glazer arrived on time. The end result, which he was proud of, was a tiny hole and a tiny crack ( easily filled with wood caulk if I cared). It was great! He was done quickly and I can't thank them more. Likewise with my SIL. But hey, cardboard and duct tape was more energy efficient during those really frigid days!

During the two winters, my wife would complain that it was colder than normal when she sits next to the window, but I just mistook that as normal as she is sitting next to huge windows. Well, few days ago, with the huge storm we got hit, we had water coming through the glass that this company has installed. Water was pouring in through the gaps. Well this explain my wife complain the colder air coming through. It doesn't seem the company sealed the glass very well when installing. It is amazing that Martin Glass after I emailed them told me that this is normal. This is the response I got from Martin Glass; "The water filtration is unlikely to be caused by glass installation. Big rain storms with driving rain can cause minor water filtration." This wasn't minor water filtration, this was me wiping the water and it would come in right away, and there is no way that any air or water coming in through the glass is normal. This is not through the glass but through the outside the structure that the glass sits in. I do have a video but posting it here is not possible. Check the google review.

Given his advice, we changed a towel holder specification to a puck. This resulted in more interior space. Doug and Corey completed the installation. All communications were timely and complete. Doug and Corey were very respectful of our space and did an exceptional job. We solicited quotes from three service providers. Mid WI was competitive, they had the finish we wanted and their delivery timeline beat what was promised by others. With the bathroom reno we worked with various service providers. None were better than Mid Wisconsin Glass & Mirror. It is great to be able to recommend a smaller, family owned business such as theirs. P.S. We are in Columbus, WI. Not sure why Yelp has us in CA.

My house is only 5 years old and I was able to find the installer, Mid Wisconsin Glass & Mirror, to help me. They came the very next day to measure the opening.
