Jeremy was a great help to me, as he was professional, trustworthy and provided an affordable service. I needed an outlet installed outside. I have a very old house and he completed the job in about an hour or so. Other plumbers and electricians and other services are charging crazy crazy prices and are really taking advantage of people out thier struggling. I didnt feel this way with Bruno and Campisi. Very hit or miss. These guys absorbed Call the Bee, after they absorbed Aqueduct, so it's been a shitshow of consolidation. There are some good, honest, knowledgeable people working here. Then there are some idiots and con artists. Estimates are consistently on the high side (sometimes by 2x). Some work they've done (ie: fixing an oiler leaks) has been shoddy as well, however these are more the exception than the rule. When it comes to the big ticket items they're fine, and I personally have not had a major issue with timeliness (just complain if you get a cancellation, however I would use them as reference point (inspections) and for emergencies. For anything more significant, better off hiring experts instead of generalists. read more

Keep away from this company. They will sign you up for an annual "comfort plan" which entitles you to spring and fall checkups. Good luck getting them to come. The office loses your schedule and the technician always comes 2-4 hours later than scheduled because "the prior job ran longer than expected". Don't believe the google reviews. Things were fine for a while, we purchased a membership and then it got worse and worse. Straw that broke the camel's back ... we clearly had a gas leak and no heat on a very very cold day. They wouldn't even get me someone on the phone to troubleshoot and they installed the HVAC. Called at 5:30 PM and they said they'd send someone first thing the next day. Then it became 8-12 ... then 2-5. Called someone else and they clearly stated we had a gas leak. I hired them to replace a heating and cooling system. They did that with a bunch of upsells but the system isn't working right. In the night, the temperature drops into the low to mid 60's downstairs. Our house heats left and right. They refused to get permits for months despite my asking for it from the start and dob requires it. They never measured output and came up with possible solutions but not based upon a true diagnostic evaluation and of course, they wanted to charge us more. read more

DO NOT USE BRUNI and CAMPISI! I called Bruni & Campisi to my home earlier this month. A toilet needed a new flapper. i told this to the plumber when he arrived. He said he had to check to see if the repair was more extensive. He told me the cost would be $495 for fixing the flapper or $695 if he had to take the toilet apart. I asked how it could be only about $200 more to take the toilet apart. I told him to get out of my house. He wouldn't go. He insisted on calling the plumbing manager and within minutes the price came down to $136. After he completed the job I asked for the name of his manager. Subsequently I left a message for the manager. He never responded. I have used this company since Spring 1997 and I never experienced anything like this. I will no longer provide them with any futire work. They are not the company they once were. read more

I was changing my vanity from a single sink to a double so that I called Bruni and Campisi. A nice guy came to give me an estimate. I told him that I did not want to have them install the faucets. He left for a few minutes and returned with an estimate of over $5,000 which included installing the faucets. It also included an inspection; I did not need an inspection! I had the entire job done, including faucet installation, for $1,000! I am quite upset that I had to pay $125 plus tax for such an outrageous estimate!!! read more

Natural gas leakage requiring the change of pipes and meter. Gas cut by ConEd in 09/25 ( in a gas heated house). Bruni & Campisi hired immediately. Did the job mid November. Got the license early 12 which enabled the city inspector to come and ask for changes, Gas reset at the end of December as a result of a Coned / Bruni / City meeting. Bruni has no leadership, is incapable to manage a project, to fill a form correctly, to communicate, is expensive...but was reactive in the bidding process. For the time being, after its early 2025 sale by Mr Bruni, we do not recommend such a contractor for whatever kind of job (as the other recent recommendations evidence it also) read more

B&C came to do a minor plumbing job under the kitchen sink. It took the rep all of 30 minutes to fix it. Cost: $450.00 Do yourself favor folks. If you have a plumbing or electrical job that doesn't require a huge amount of work, don't waste time with these guys. Find any number of excellent local contractors who are looking for work and would do an excellent job for a fraction of the cost. I've used a bunch of them. I used B&C this time because I signed up for their Comfort Plan. It was improperly explained to me by a rep at the company that the first service job would be free. Ha Ha. It's all in the language. 'SERVICE' means they will send someone to your house or apartment to ASSESS the problem ($90). Not DO the actual work. It's this kind of BS that makes me crazy. It's manipulative. read more

They just replaced my HVAC. Installer was Irwin. Great experience, easy scheduling, came on time, stayed till finished even though it was late. I had a question two days later, Irwin returned to resolve it. Yes, the job was expensive but I am pleased with the great service. read more

Don't bother with this company. They way overcharge and the work is incompetently done. Paid $3,042 to replace air conditioner line set. They opened up the ceiling to supposedly fix it and it was an expensive mess as we had to hire a separate contractor to repair the multiple openings they made. This "repair" did not fix the problem and we are still with a nonworking unit. So now they suggested we have to pay them again to come out and diagnose the problem when another company already diagnosed it and said the lines are leaking, We won't ever have anything to do with this company again. Best advice is to go somewhere else. People work hard for their money to have incompetent work done. read more

On June 11, 2025 I had Bruni & Campisi install a new furnace and outside air conditioner unit. The 2 people that installed the both units were outstanding and the systems are working without any issues. However I recently found out that this work required a permit from the building department in the town that I live in Westchester County, NY. I went to the town building department and confirmed that the work did require a permit but they have no record of a permit being issued or even applied for. I called Bruni & Campisi on 10/29/25 and was told that the permit coordinator was out of the office but I would receive a call back. I called again on 10/30/25, after not receiving a call back, and was now told that I would receive a call back on 11/3/25 regarding this. This is unacceptable. My advice to anyone thinking of having any similar work done by Bruni & Campisi is to find out if it requires a permit before hand and save yourself a lot of run around and problems. read more

Tech came to my house and because I had a small leak coming from my boiler overflow tank. I was verbally quoted 15K due to a whole host of issues. I said thanks but no thank. Then the tech started lowering the prices. Finally, sent me a quote for $1,400.55. At that point I felt that they were taking advantage of me. I googled the problem and fixed it myself for $82.00. Believe the reviews. Our A/C stopped working and I had them come out the same day to take a look. The technician told us we needed two pounds of refirgerant and a new thermostat. The only thermostat he had was a non-programmable, non-WiFi thermostat. The charge for it was $329 installed, even though I could see that you could buy it for $40 on Amazon. The tech said we really didn't have a choice if we wanted our A/C to work again. The A/C began to work again and he left as quick as he could. Ten minutes later, the system stopped working. I called Bruni and Campisi and was told they couldn't come until after 4pm the next day. You would think they would prioritize a call for something that was their error, but they didn't seem to care. I didn't really have another choice but to agree. In the interim, I noticed that the condenser was tripping my circuit box and that it would go back on when I switched the circuit back, but that would last for only 10 minutes tops (something you'd think the original tech would've noticed). The new tech didn't come until after 8pm the next day. He was really the only bright spot in all of this, as he was able to diagnose that our entire HVAC system was shot and we needed a new condenser and coils. In reality, it had nothing to do with the refrigerant and thermostat that I paid almost $1,000 for a day prior. We were told we'd be contacted by a sales rep to go over our options. The next day, a sales guy came by and showed us our options. Nice enough guy, but at no time was there any offer to credit us the original money we paid due to a misdiagnosis. I received other estimates, which were shown to be much more reasonable and for seemingly better equipment (they suggested Amana equipment while others proposed Carrier). This company is dishonest and money hungry. We called them to get our gas meters checked for leaks. They came to give us an estimate. We signed the contract and paid the first fee and an appointment was made to check the meters. Everything checked out and there were no leaks detected. We were told that a permit must be applied for the town inspector to come and inspect the meters. Inspectors came and everything also checked out fine. They stated that ConEd will be contacted once paperwork was filed with them. Payments were made to B&C throughout the process with no issues. After over a week, we still hadn't heard from ConEd and when we would contact B&C to ask what was going on, they would never have a direct answer or would say they would call back and they never would. Finally we were able to get in contact with Glen Glasser, who worked on our case. Turns out, B&C completely forgot to send in our paperwork. The only way we found out was because ConEd emailed us saying that paperwork was still not submitted. When I asked Glen Glasser what happened, his response was that the case 'slipped their minds' and was 'forgotten'. Funny because they were so quick and fast to take our money but when it came time to finish their job, they didn't really care to and even admitted that they just forgot to submit the paperwork. Then tried to place the blame on ConEd. Don't bother with this place. Once you pay them, you'll never get an answer and your case will be forgotten unless you chase them down yourself. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. They Sent a technician out to give me an estimate to repair my AC and told me once I accept the estimate their "team" will reach out to me to schedule an appointment to come fix it. I called them to follow up THREE TIMES over the course of TWO WEEKS and it wasn't until the third time that the phone operator could schedule anything for me. Phone operator BRENDAN answered the phone the first two times and just told me there was nothing he could do to expedite the scheduling. I have now been through THREE WEEKS WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING THROUGH TWO HEAT WAVES ALL BECAUSE I TRIED TO BE PATIENT WITH THEIR SCHEDULING NONSENSE!!!!! I have now called another company and they are repairing it instead. After about 5 years of giving them my business I will NEVER call Bruni & Campisi ever again!! Their lack of attention or respect towards this frustrating situation is very disappointing to me and is something nobody else should have to deal with. Bruni & Camprisi manufactured an "emergency", and then charged me extra for it. On the evening of Thurs, April 17th, 2025, I had a plumbing issue. I waited until business hours Fri April 18th to call a plumber. At 7:30 am, I spoke with Bruni & Camprisi to schedule a visit. They explained that a "visit fee" of $129 would be charged to give me an estimate, and if I ok'd the work, the fee would be deducted from the work. Shortly after I scheduled the visit, the company called me back and said they were highly booked, but they would be able to schedule a visit after 4 pm. The "after hours" visit fee would increase by $50 but would still be deducted from the work. The window I could expect the plumber would be 4-8 pm. I agreed, and cleared my schedule to wait for the plumber. At 4:30 pm, I received another call from Bruni & Camprisi stating that the plumber would not arrive until 6-8 pm. At 8 pm, he still had not arrived, so I called the company. I called three times between 8 pm and 9:06 pm. Each time I reached a different operator, and I asked when the technician's workday ended, and if he was coming at all. Each time they told me they were reaching out to the field technician and he would get back to me. On the third call, I told them to let the technician know that if I didn't hear from him by 9:30 pm, he should not come. That's when I finally heard from the technician. He said he was leaving the current job and would arrive at 10 pm! The technician arrived at 10:15 pm. He gave me an estimate for $1,192.36 to snake a pipe under my kitchen sink and replace a trap. In response to my sticker shock, he explained that the high cost was partially due to the late hour that the work was completed, as it was now considered "emergency service." When I asked how much the company would have charged me during normal hours, he said it would have cost about $270 less. I paid the exorbitant fee under duress because I needed my sink over Easter weekend and could not wait until Monday to get daytime service from another plumber. I called the company on Monday, April 21, 2025 to complain. The man I spoke with laughed a little at my complaint and said a supervisor would get back to me. AWFUL experience!! AVOID! Had them out to look at my unit. They determined it was not fixable, so I asked Glen Glasser, who had come to give me an estimate, to send in paperwork to my Home Warranty Company to see if they would cover a new system. He gave me excuse after excuse for why he didn't fill in the forms, telling me at one point that it was a "pain in the a**" !!!! After SEVEN weeks of promising to do it, but not actually doing it, I texted him again and asked what the issue was, to which he replied, "time, time, time, time, time I do not have". At that point I called the company and spoke with his supervisor, Mike Fisher. By now my claim with the insurance company had been closed and I had to open another claim. After I mentioned that to the supervisor, there has been radio silence. I paid them $100 or so for coming out initially and have had no air conditioning all summer. I had to hire another company to come out (more $), but their technician filled in the required paperwork for the insurance in TWO minutes on his phone!! I would honestly give less than one star if possible. This has truly been the worst company that I have ever dealt with in terms of customer service. The technician that did my initial visit was beyond lovely; however, once they ordered parts for me they gave me no ETA or details. Every time I called I got the runaround and was told "let me call the warehouse and see and I'll call you right back." Not once, not twice, but on four separate occasions no one ever called me back. I was finally told a date that parts would arrive and, alas, that date came and went with no updates, no one reaching out, and when I called I was again given no information other than rude "sorry there is nothing else I can do to help." After 2+ weeks with no A/C in 90 degree heat I simply asked the question: can you see if there are other vendors that carry the parts, are there other companies that you work with, can you think outside the box? This was met with smug "sir there is nothing we can do to control what the warehouse gets." This was followed by any request to speak with a manager being met with a boilerplate "they aren't available." Long story short, if you are looking for the customer service version of a lobotomy, please call Bruni and Campisi. If you are looking for anything other than a total lack of empathy or willingness to help, I'd think twice. read more

Then they sold us a &15000 package without breaking down the price of equipment and labor bundling the whole thing. Out come we were greatly over priced. Technician came to perform yearly maintenance. Said everything was operational. 1.5 weeks later, system gets turned on for first time, furnace doesn't light. So I call and am told they'd have to schedule a service call for minimum $90 because they don't guarantee their tune-up work. I get it--time is money. I tell them if I schedule a service call and someone comes out and needs to fix something that broke mysteriously in the 1.5 weeks the furnace was sitting dormant since the maintenance call, I'll pay it. But if someone comes and makes a small adjustment that should have been done by the maintenance person, I don't think I should be charged. Nope. Company policy is minimum cost is $90, and they don't guarantee their tune-up work. Why would I use anyone that doesn't guarantee their work? read more

Service: Repair water heater I have used Bruni and Campisi in the past and found them fairly reliable. This week, the temperature in my house was much lower than the rooms thermostat was set. I called the company, who offered to send a technician who was in my neighborhood to check my water heater. I was told that the visit would cost $89. Then, the technician would present me with a quote for the necessary repair. If I wanted to contract the service, the $89 charge would not apply. When the technician arrived and saw the water heater, in less than one minute, without checking anything, he told me that he needed to run a diagnostic that would cost me $420 plus taxes, not the $89 I believed would cost to give me a quote for the service. I understand during the visit and visual inspectionthe technician wouls, at least, check if the heater was on ans set on the right water temperature, which he falied to do. The house was very cold, and I had no other choice but to agree to pay for the diagnostic. I observed the technician for several minutes. He requested the equipment manual and started to read it. It was absolutely clear to me that he had zero familiarity with the equipment. After almost two hours, he said that the problem was that the dial to adjust the temperature of the water heater was set for 140 degrees, and it should be at 180 degrees, because of the cold weather. He reported that he had just adjusted the temperature dial, and all should be OK now. Therefore, the problem was just the temperature set, something that should probably be very first thing he should have checked when he arrived at my house. In the end, with taxes, I was billed $455 and change for a clueless technician to turn a temperature dial. Literally, a two-seconds job. It took him nearly two hours and a lot of manual reading to realize that this was all he needed to do. I am really disappointed with Bruni and mpisi for sending me a technician unfamiliar with the equipment he was servicing and charging me almost five hundred dollars for, literally, a two-second job. I was charged an outrageous fee, solely because the Bruni and Campisi's technician failed to check the temperature set in the dial of the water heater when he arrived. This dial with the water temperature information is completely visible, and the technician should have checked first thing and just charged me the $89 visit. By the way, the 140 degrees temp was set by a Bruni and Campis technician who had recently done the equipment maintenance to prepare it for the winter. read more

I am Realtor and my review is based on two clients who hired this company for removal of oil tanks and gas conversion. Not only does this company over charge they have in both cases dropped the ball when dealing with town permits, don't pay town fees timely and forget to send inspector out for final approval. Taking over 5 months for legalizing an abandoned above ground oil tank removal because they did not pay the town fee and final inspect. To boot they don't answer your calls and when they do they promise they are taking care of it and then they don't. Hire another company. Not this one. read more
