Cool little beer room that offers flights with pairings. They have a wide selection of really tasty beers. Lots seating some snacks available and a souvenir shop. They have a museum upstairs that you can take a tour with as well. We did the chocolate and beer pairing. We really liked the Steen Brugge - white Blanche 9/10 beer

This is a very, very thorough museum on the history, making, and trends of beer. You receive an audio guide, and the experience is self guided. You finish at their delightful tap room over looking the square. The bartenders are very helpful, recommending beers.

This was the perfect experience for beer lovers and anyone who needs a break from the crowds. The tour was informative and interesting. I was particularly a fan of the health part of the tour! Once finished we had several tastings while overlooking the Markt Square. The bartenders were not friendly at all but it didn't damper a few lovely hours inside.

Pretty cool place that I just stumbled across in Bruges. And that was before I had a drink! This museum is located at the top of a three story walkup, so it's quite a hike to get to there. The museum itself is tiny. You could probably go through it in an hour or so even if you looked at every exhibit. They are very high tech in that they give you an iPad mini and it's set up to scan QR codes at each exhibit where you can listen to a description or read something about what you're seeing. I liked the technology a lot. They touch briefly on the history of beer and then talk about how it evolved in Belgium and how it was impacted by wars and governments, etc. It's interesting and broad, but not very deep. In the attic space, they have information about the brewing process that is educational. Once you finish, you can go down to the tap room and turn in your iPad for three tokens. Each token gets you a small beer. They say each pour is 15 cl, but I think the lady who pulled my draught was a little more generous. They had a great selection of beers that you won't find anywhere, including three cask style beers that aren't seen very often outside of their breweries. The woman bartender told me the place had only been open a few months. It still had that new museum smell. For €11, some people might think this is overpriced, but for the cool beer I had, I think it was worth it. You can expect to exit through the gift shop.

Would recommend this for anyone who likes a good beer. 5 glasses for 10 euros- that's such a good price that you could barely find it anywhere, especially since you can try all different ones and they are all great belgium beer! Love the cheery beer and the leffe one, one is different from normal kinds and the other just simple a great beer- so would highly recommend these teo!

    Tasty tastings!

The wife and I came up on the beer museum entirely by chance, as we didn't even know this was a thing in central Bruges. We went up the stairs and signed up for the tour and tasting at the end of the tour. I think that it's 12 euros for the tour and tasting and 8 euros for the tour alone. They give you an iPad and you just scan the exhibits to either get audio and/or video material about the subject matter. The exhibits are set up on 2 floors with the top floor exhibit going through the whole process of beer making. You get to see and feel all the ingredients and see the process of how different beer styles came about. There is definitely a Belgium focus on beer with the exhibits but there is also one exhibit that covers craft beer development all over the world. The wife and I probably spent at least a couple of hours there for the exhibits and sampling a few beers in the tasting bar at the end. I think that any beer lover would enjoy the museum.

This is a tourist trap with a large barroom and a great view of the square. Pop in for a beer, skip the tour but enjoy the view.

The beers here are amazing with over 20+ on tap there is something for everyone - and some must try Trappist beers. I absolutely loved this spot. Only reason for not having 5 stars? The service. Although the place was relatively crowded, it was not very crazy at all especially when we first came in after opening and the staff behind the bar were kind of rude. I asked for a flight and they seemed annoyed they had to make one instead of just pouring 1 beer, and i was reading the menu and didn't have all my numbers ready to fire off - more upset. Additionally, my wife and I sat down at the bar about 1 hour after the place opened and we both had glass all over our chairs and now in our bottoms. The bartender was annoyed when my wife asked him to clean it - he said some glass thing exploded there before opening... so you didn't clean it? And then were annoyed customers had glass in their pants? make that make sense.

Pretty sure I was here back in 2015. It's hard to forget because the setting is so unique - an…read moreunderground stone cellar that's over 800 years old. When we arrived around 9pm on a Monday night, it was already fairly full and quickly became packed. This is a bar with a vast selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles, making it an easy spot to linger and sample Belgian brews. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a memorable and distinctly Bruges bar experience.

It's the kind of place you get drunk and look around and marvel at the inevitability of life's wonderment. That if you choose a path, it somehow finds you. And with Leine being blonde and gorgeous carrying around a tiny jar of moonshine infused custard for occasional dips of her pinky, I felt myself turning into an image I'd dreamed of since the age of nine, a traveling artist with a muse and the caked wavy hair once worn by Tristan Tzara, the dark sunken eyes of Man Ray, Leine posing at Bar des Amis as if in black and white with a bottle of Duval. She pours it slowly. Sips, leans in to kiss me and I can still hear the bubbles fizzle out on her lips. The bartender is tall and modelesque, and takes to Leine. He adds us on Facebook. I order three rounds of beer here and they're sweet; this moment is so rich, it's cloying. I can't help but think of what can go wrong. Yet the barstools feel stable beneath us. The Bar des Amis furniture is nothing special. The patrons, though, are. They are glad, not yelling at the TV during soccer like in the other pubs. The bartender gives us a free shot and smiles at my flirtatious girl. Her shoulders are exposed and she's receptive. Her energy is a powerful light beaming from the chest. She reminds me of me! He leans in to tell us that Brugge is thinking of creating a network of underground piping strictly for beer because the cobblestone alleyways are too narrow for the beer trucks. Leine laughs but I've turned cynical and profess that the town looks a bit like the town in Pinocchio. Like the buildings are set pieces and that our perfect little world might crumble. How much beer did I have here? Am I that unsure of her love? I'm being unfair, of course. Leine has done nothing to deserve my darkness. Her hand has been a fixture on my thigh. It's not until later, when we meet an Englishman here, who warns us of pickpockets in Rome, that our night unfolds into powder white oblivion.
