Thanks to Bruce Lilly and his team of dentists, I can smile big again. A lot of dental offices in Burbank are all about knocking your teeth out or sell you on a procedure that will be costly. I came here on a recommendation through word of mouth (no pun intended) and some Yelp reviews. This office actually addresses the problems and does not pass judgement, no matter how bad your chompers are. I've had other Burbank dental offices read me the riot act and then justify their expensive procedures. This dental office actually gets to the heart of the problem and will work with your comfort level instead of being "pushy". They will address your needs and give you options on how you want to go about it. Honesty is important here. They are all about preserving your smile. Every experience I've had here is phenomenal. Thank you Dr. Park! She and her efficient staff were able to get me in on a Wed afternoon for an emergency. I was referred to Dr. Park by an friend who has gone to Dr. Lilly, her partner, for years. Dr. Park showed genuine concern and identified the problem immediately. She took the time to find an excellent Endodontist nearby who was able to get me right in for a root canal. Dr. Park was on the phone with the specialist discussing my case by the time I got there and I received awesome care! Fine for adults, but find a pediatric dentist for kids. My wife have been going there for several years, after moving to town. When our first child needed to start at the dentist, they said they did kids. But it turns out they missed a few cavities. By the time we realized it, she needed major dental work to the tune of $3,000 out-of-pocket (extractions, cap, etc.) and we ended up at a pediatric dentist anyway, since they don't do major work on kids here. Lesson learned for kid #2, but definitely don't take your kids here. Just not equip/skilled to deal with children. read more

I read the reviews on Nextdoor about Dr Lilly. Everyone loved the father - and is the same for the son. I can say his son now has the practice is truly connective, calm and nice. He explained everything that needs to be done for my son's implant after a teeth cleaning by Veronica- my son said she was excellent and will go back to her. I got new dental insurance with my new job so of course I had to go through the daunting process of finding a new dentist. I found this one on Yelp so I thought I'd return the favor and rave about my wonderful experience. I arrived with all my new patient paperwork already filled out so I was ready quickly. They were running a few minutes behind, but only maybe 10. Carol was my hygienist and she was such a sweet lady. Of course she made sure that I had knowledge of proper flossing technique and she gave feedback on my teeth as she cleaned them. She did a great job cleaning - they feel squeaky clean! I got x-rays with Gaby. She was a very young technician, but very nice and helpful. She hustled around the room moving the machine in every direction. Then Dr. Angela came in to examine my teeth. She is very young for a dentist, but made me feel super comfortable and relaxed (which is not something many people say at the dentist!). She explained everything as she was doing it and pointed out different things in my xrays. I didn't need any dental work done so I can't vouch for that yet, but so far, a great experience! read more

I had an amazing dentist in Houston, but alas, I'm no longer a Texan. I couldn't seem to get a dentist recommendation from friends that was actually enrolled in my insurance plan, so I found Dr. Lilly by taking the chance and calling him because I liked the sound of his name. I have MetLife, and he was listed on participating dentists under my plan. So here it goes: Getting an appointment: The office staff is SO SUPER NICE. So far, so good. Scheduled quickly. Arrival for appointment: Office is nice and clean. Staff still friendly and easy to work with. Cleaning: OUUUUUUUUUUCH. No fault of my hygienist., I've been slacking and my teeth are killing me. No beauty without pain, right? My teeth are clean and shiny. Yay! Exam: What the what? I specifically asked for Dr. Lilly, and in walks Dr. Pham. He's nice enough, but he's... young. I get nervous with young doctors and dentists. I prefer them to have been doing this all their lives. Dunno why. It's just a thing I have. Exam is no big deal, but I don't think he understands how panicked I will be the day of my fillings. I kind of get the impression he won't be very kind or understanding. I'm a little irked that no one told me I won't be seeing Dr. Lilly. Check-out: They will bill my insurance and ask me for no money. Schedule my fillings quickly and easily. Finally meet Dr. Lilly and it confirms my initial feelings: I would have preferred him to be my dentist. His demeanor is more my speed, and he seems more likely to baby me because I AM A CHICKEN AND I WILL BE FREAKING OUT. Overall? No real negatives here. I'll go back and see Dr. Pham because I'm going to trust that Dr. Lilly wouldn't hire someone incapable. I'll give him a shot, right after he gives me mine. Ba-dump-bump! Lame, I know. I had a very trusted, long-time dentist in Orange County, but when I moved to North Hollywood I could not justify the 75-mile one-way commute and time off work. Enter Dr. Lilly's office on the recommendation of a friend. To say I am pleased would be an understatement! Years ago I had been told I needed much more work done than I really did, and have been cautious of dentists and being "upsold" ever since. No such case at Dr. Lilly's. I actually expected my prognosis to be much worse than it was, since I had gone nearly a year since a cleaning/exam and had previously been on a 3x/year schedule. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. My hygienist, Michelle, took a lot of time and care with me and gave me a fantastic cleaning. She even took the time to explain some of my problem areas, give me a brushing demonstration, and evaluated my flossing technique. Plus - she has been with the practice for 10 years, which really is a testimony in itself! I actually saw Dr. Murray rather than Dr. Lilly, and he was very nice and has a great bedside manner. He was very friendly and I was at ease the entire time. I learned that the practice is a second "generation" practice, as Dr. Lilly's father originally opened the office. In my 6 years of living in LA, i've been to many dentists. I've never really been happy with a single one of them until finding Dr. Bruce's office. A coworker recommeded them and i've since recommended to anyone who asks. They're very friendly, get you in and out quickly and absolutely DON'T try to upsell you on unnecessary treatments, products or procedures like most other dentists i've tried in LA. A year ago, I tried a different dentist in Burbank. They told me i need a deep root scaling and that i had a cavity forming that needed filling. I told them i'd think about it. 6 months later I switched to Dr. Bruce. They cleaned my teeth, examined them and determined my mouth was fine and didn't need a filling or a deep root scaling. Dr. Lilly is our favorite dentist in the world! And his staff are the best office staff I have ever dealt with. When I come to see Dr. Lilly, I feel like I am on vacation. He has a super pleasant and caring demeanor (with a delightful sense of humor) and handles any issues from crowns to implants to major cosmetic work with great ease and mastery. For a couple of years we lived on the east coast and I was flying in to see Dr. Lilly for some cosmetic work as I couldn't trust anyone else. Needless to say, he did an unbelievable job on my front teeth. I now constantly get compliments on my teeth yet I used to have gaps and a broken tooth throughout most of my life until Dr. Lilly took care of them. To say that his front office staff is a pleasure to deal with is an understatement. They are awesome! They are proactive in handling any potential issue or an insurance question before you even ask. I had a filling fall out and couldn't get an appointment at my regular dentist, plus his office is on the other side of town, close to my old place of work, but not convenient to where I am now. So I called Dr. Lilly's office since his reviews on Yelp were pretty positive. They had an appointment for the next morning, which maybe should've been a red flag. The receptionist informed me that it would not be with Dr. Lilly, who seems to have a long-standing good reputation as well as a many patients. It would be with "Dr. Angie." As I'm between insurance policies, I'd be paying for this out of my own pocket, so I was careful, once I got in the chair to ask Dr. Angie Terzian what the work would cost. She said, "$125." When I got to the desk, I was presented with a bill for $195. The bill included a "complete dental exam" at $40 which I never asked for. I went in there for the sole and specific purpose of having one filling replaced. Nothing more. To my mind this is unethical. It's obvious that when a patient asks how much a particular appointment is going to cost, they're asking what the out-the-door cost will be. It is not up to the patient to further ask, "Are there any hidden charges that you're going to sneakily add to inflate my bill and bulk up your profit margin?" I asked this woman straight up how much the work would cost and she told me $125. And that was not true. Rather than make a scene, which is not my forte, I paid the bill and went home to write this review in the hopes of saving someone else from these shady and shameful practices. Kinda stupid in the age of the internet to be pulling this stuff on people when you're going to be so readily called out on it. read more

I have been going to Dr Lilly for over 20 years. I am writing here about a recent experience with my dentist Dr. Hofstetter. I woke up with excruciating pain a couple of weeks ago and knew I had to get a root canal immediately. I went in and Dr Lilly's office had a full schedule for the day. It was a Friday afternoon and I could not handle that pain all weekend. I explained my condition and Dr. Hofstetter said she would work me in between other patients and to be patient. She took me in and 2 hours later I was done. I am so grateful for accommodating me and resolving the pain. I would give 10 stars if I could! read more

I miss Dr Lilly so much!! I moved to OC 3 years ago and was driving up to Glendale to see him till last year. I now have a 2 and 4 year old in school and making the long trip is just not possible. 1/29/2016 Thank you Dr. Lilly!!!!!! My 10 year old son got hit playing hockey and knocked out his whole front tooth. Eek!! I phoned Dr. Lilly's office; they told me to keep the tooth wet and to come immediately. His staff are always so welcoming, friendly and caring! We really needed them, and they really came through for my son and me. Long story short: Dr. Lilly was able to save my son's tooth. :D I actually started as a patient with Dr. Lilly's father. This is really a family office. They take care of my whole family; my parents and my family. They are great with children too. After this emergency and happy ending, Dr. Lilly has a loyal patient for life. For always being so caring for us. Once again I get pure honesty and care from Dr. Lilly's office. I recently called after hours because I had some swelling in a part of my gums that was very painful. I was so relieved to hear in the recording that I could call Dr. Lilly directly (after hours). While on the phone with him, he made sure I had a prescription for the pain and told me to come in the next morning. It turned out that my pain/swollen gums stemmed from a loose crown that was hitting the gum line awkwardly. Luckily, I have the most honest dentist in the world. He took x-rays to make sure nothing was broken beneath the crown and was able to cement back in place. This is why I recommend Dr. Lilly and all of his associates to everyone I come in contact with who is looking for a new dentist.
