Very disappointed with hydrafacial done at this practice. The only good things about this were that the aesthetician was nice, and that there was no wait. Outside of that, i was shocked how they handled a $300 treatment which i was having done for the first time. First if all, it took under 20 min to get it done and it felt very rushed. The cleaning of the skin took 20 second with a pad, and she was barely touching my face and not getting all the spots. I did not feel clean at all and asked twice if i should remove the makeup myself and if she thinks this was a sufficient cleaning (was worried about break outs) The other steps were also super rushed, felt like areas of my face kept getting missed. Was especially concerned when she wiped the peel solution from my face with the same WAY too gentle, barely touching moves and not covering all areas. I had to ask her to do another pass because it did not feel like she removed the peel solution properly and face was getting slightly uncomfortable. When i asked about suction power, she said "the machine does it" altho i have read that there are different settings. Was also not asked about the solution of the peel which i have also read that can be customized. No one asked if i wanted a booster or an additional treatment added, nor did she give me any advice about what to do after the hydrafacial and generally barely asked any questions before or during the treatment. I kept thinking this must be her first time doing this because it was so horrible. 15-20 min later I emerged with the face slightly red, so far no catastrophic results but nothing great either, and i am so annoyed at spending all this money on a facial by someone who seemed so terrible at their job. Overpriced and inept. He botox placement left me with a crater in my forehead. After making me wait in waiting room for over 90 minutes, he charged me for a "filler" even though it was his negligence. I paid because I didn't want to walk around with a dent in my forehead but I will never go back again. And prior to that, I had the fraxel laser procedure done. He kept me waiting with numbing cream for over an hour and then I looked like a blowfish for two weeks because my face was so swollen. read more

Soft-spoken and trustworthy dermatologist. I've taken both my kids here for minor issues, and he was appropriate and kind with both. I don't know if pediatric/teen dermatology is a specialty of his, but his calm manner is a good fit. His medical assistants are very sweet. Unusually well-run office. I was referred to Dr. Robinson by my pediatrician and I can say with full confidence that I trust them both. When my daughter was a newborn she had a heat rash so bad that for a few months she looked like a clingon (yeah really). Dr. Robinson cured her of that.....ok well not exactly "cured" but he told me to stop bathing her so much.....lol. and I did, and it worked like a charm. Anyways, he's a really nice guy and even took a look at my son's excema during my daughter's visit and gave me some information on what we could do about that. Teensy weensy office, not stroller friendly but if you are taking the 4/5/6 train to 59th street you REALLY dont want to bring a stroller with you anyway. I started going to Dr. Robinson a decade ago. I had a reaction to sulfur (found in some heavy concealers back in the day) and broke out in cysts on my face. To say it was heartbreaking is an understatement. Long story short: Dr. Robinson saved my face. After going on Accutane and 3 rounds of Fraxel post Accutane (which was brand new at the time), my face was flawless. And over ten years later, my face is still flawless. I don't and have not worn foundation since. For anything related to big skin woes like I had as well as anything cosmetic, I highly recommend going here. I went to doctor Robinson last year to get some fillers under my eyes, he accepted straight away and injected me with acid. I had a lot of swelling and after a few weeks it looked like i had bubbles under my eyes, it looked bad. I spent 1000 for them and the result wasn't good. This year I went to see Doctor Gary Goldenberg at Mount Sinai Hospital, he injected me with a different, more adapted acid and the result is great. I spent only 850$. This is a very well run office. Friendly staff, friendly doctor, and they don't make you wait long at all. I came into his office very concerned about a rash under my belly (fearing it could be an STD) and he quickly recognized my symptoms and diagnosed my nickel allergy. What an amazing experience. Our daughter had a spot on her face that had to be removed. She's 9 and TERRIFIED of needles. Dr. Bruce (it's what our family calls him bc he' awesome) took control of the situation and he and his staff took care of her problem, patched her up and it was done in such a great way that she actually apologized to us for being afraid. The spot started to become a little more red than normal and we called Dr. Bruce and he not only helped us but gave us his cell number should a situation arise!!! I went to Dr. Robinson for years. Very nice guy, very knowledgable and caring. He took his time and was very careful about if, when and how he removed any moles. Dr Bruce Robinson was my dermatologist for 5 yrs now and I can say in full confidence that he will be my dermatologists for the next 5 yrs. Just like other reviewers mentioned, he is very attentive, caring, knowledgeable and very advanced in his field. He is very thorough, doesn't rush you out (like other derms) and will listen to your concerns. Dr. Robinson has been my dermatologist for about four years (I switched to him after an unpleasant experience with another dermatologist.) He does my annual skin screening and I've also seen him for dermatology issues that have come up in between. He's also treated several of my children. I've been extremely satisfied with his care (and I'm not that easy to please concerning doctors). He listens, takes time, gives options and explains those options, is never condescending or defensive (I ask a lot of questions), and has successfully treated each matter with the least invasive technique. His office staff is excellent and his nurse assistant follows up with a phone call the next day if you have any procedure done. I hesitated to write this review because I want to keep Dr. Robinson and his staff as my personal secret. I've only visited them for cosmetic issues. Laser hair removal, chemical peels and the like. Dr. Robinson is always friendly and thorough. He explains everything to make sure you know what you are getting yourself into but not as if you are a simpleton. Everyone on the nursing staff is charming and goes out of her (I've only ever been with female nurses there) way to make sure you are comfortable. The office is also very well run. I never feel like I'm being rushed or made to wait unduly. It's been a significant departure from all of the dermatologists I have been to since moving to the city six years ago. I went to Dr Robinson for a biopsy for a spot on my nose that another dermatologist had already treated with 2 different lasers. There was also another smaller spot that I showed him. Both spots were pink and scaling. He said that he needed to use a different type of laser. He treated the larger spot 2x with a VBeam laser and nothing happened. He treated the smaller one with IPL 1x and nothing happened. Then he said that I had to have 5 or more treatments for the VBeam to be effective (mind you- this is cosmetic so out of pocket payments - how convenient) and claimed that I needed to have my treatments every 2-3 weeks, which I told him on the first visit was impossible due to my career. thankfully, I did not follow his advice and went to another dermatologist who did biopsy both spots and guess what? One is skin cancer - I had to have MOHS surgery there, and the other was pre-cancerous and I needed other medical treatments for that one. had i continued under Dr Robinson's treatments, not only would it not resolve these spots, but I would also be putting my health at further risk and paying out of pocket $250 per treatment! I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. read more

Dr. Robinson is great! Super thorough and efficient and just makes you feel so comfortable. My first impression of him was that not only was he very intelligent and professional but also very approachable and just has a lovely way about him. He takes the time to answer any questions you may have and you never feel like he's just rushing through the appointment. I found him when I had an urgent matter which needed to be addressed and his staff fit me right in even though I was not a patient. He took care of it immediately and expertly. Dr Robinson is the most caring, conscientious and dedicated dermatologist. He diagnosed an early skin cancer on a routine complete skin exam that 2 previous dermatologists missed. I was very impressed with his thoroughness, he spent a full 1/2 hour on my skin exam and he called me over the weekend to to see how I was doing.
