Computer terminals everywhere when you first walk in. Wow, and the people are busy searching for material or writing emails. There is the express computers for 15 minute allotments and two are just available..it was like a hawk swooping down to get onto the Internet. Of course the Internet is free here at a city library and Tweed Heads being a holiday destination people visit here frequently.
The resources here are excellent. There is a huge table in the middle of the library where people are reading today's newspapers. There is a wide range of papers from the Bulletin, The Seniors Paper, Northern Star, The Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald. People are moving around reading each paper and the table is like a turnstile of people coming and going.
Wow, the CD and DVD selection is massive. I know where to come for a good bit of music and a current movie. Why would I pay the cost of going anywhere else. Of course you have to be a local to borrow but then again find a friend, bribe a relative and borrow. Ha
There are pods of comfortable seating throughout the library for the lazy reader..or for the person to chill out. It is one library where there are few children...so the atmosphere is serene.
A great library in a busy place. Now I just need to move into the area. At least I could access the Internet free as a visitor anyway, which is great. read more
