This was over 3 wks ago and I still haven't heard back from him-even after I called him to see what was happening. Given his seeming eagerness to start No matter how many good reviews ,why would you ever start a project with someone who is irresponsible before he even begins . These jobs are stress inducing and expensive enough !

Its refreshing to have 'old school craftsmen' doing work like this in the era of big box stores and corporate outlets. Thanks Little Wolf.

Chuck was by far the most knowledgeable and his work highly exceeded our expectations. He listened to our ideas and presented us with options which fit within our budget. From the beginning to end, Chuck was attentive and responsive, even on the weekends - he would answer any questions or concerns we had. We ended up with all new floors, a raised ceiling, updated layout, new cabinets, appliances and a custom built in wet bar. We could not be happier with the end result and the professionalism from Chuck and his team. I have done 5 kitchens over my life and this was by far the best one. A few things you should know regarding a total redo of a kitchen like we did. 1-The process will take time, probably longer than you think, and you can not rush it 2-It will cost more than you think for crazy things you will pick out later in the process. Hacker Kitchens is responsible for cabinets, appliances (which are frequently incorporated into the cabinets), backsplash and countertops. You may need a general contractor for specialities like electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc. She may be able to help with recommendations or I would be happy to share names of the professionals that I used in the NY, CT area. If you speak with Maya and want to see a finished kitchen, ask her to call Louis or Susan. We would be proud to show you.

Mr DeVita was so kind and honest. He stopped his work, came down to see the piece and examined it. He explained with great reason and detail that the piece was essentially junk, could not be stabilized for any reasonable price and would never be worth a hoot. We were so grateful (a bit disappointed) for the honesty. He could have just taken our money. We will be back with something more worthwhile for the effort.
