Our family found Wayne Brucar when a speeding ticket in Illinois required a court appearance. Not having any prior experience with this sort of thing in the past, the situation was a source of much anxiety and uncertainty for all of us. During our first conversation with Mr. Brucar, we had many questions, which he took the time to answer completely and in terms we could understand. He explained the situation to us, talked about how we could/should go about addressing the case, and provided some much-needed reassurance and professional support. During the course of the time leading up to the court appearance, he kept in touch, answering our questions as they arose, making us confident in knowing we had a solid legal professional in our corner. A week before the court date, he was able to let us know that, as we'd all hoped from the beginning, he had been able to work with the prosecuting attorney to obtain a very favorable outcome. Mr. Brucar had told us up front that it's not always possible to get this accomplished in advance, but we were relieved that in our case, it worked out that way. On the day of the court appearance, we were relieved that Mr. Brucar was our attorney, as he was obviously a well-known, much-respected presence in the courtroom. His steady calmness and professionalism was reassuring and a great relief in an unfamiliar and very chaotic setting. Even though there were literally hundreds of people in traffic court that day, he told us that we'd get this taken care of and be on our way as quickly as possible, and he delivered on that statement. Our case was one of the very first ones handled, and we were in and out within a half hour, favorable outcome in hand. After we made our way out of the courtroom, Mr. Brucar took the time to explain the required follow-up paperwork. He was able to make a scary, very intimidating situation seem much less so. Mr. Brucar has a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that might at first seem a bit brusque, but he is a smart, competent, clearly well-respected legal pro who delivers the needed results with a minimum of fuss and anxiety. We felt that the retainer we paid up front was money well-invested, as it resulted in a great return. We would definitely recommend Mr. Brucar to our friends and acquaintances, and would use his services again ourselves (although we certainly hope to never have to!). They represented me twice. The first time I thought they did a great job... But then the story continues! A couple of years ago I get in some trouble going too fast. Wayne Brucar told me that it was a great idea to sell my bike, it would give me the upper hand when coming to an agreement. They tell me they need to send in a letter to try and knock down my judgment from a class A misdemeanor to a class B misdemeanor. After a month of not hearing anything we need to continue the case because they decided it wasn't a good time to do what was needed. The long and short of it was I was denied my request to reduce the charges form a class A to a class B. When we had to go to court to get the continuance because they didn't send the letter in on time Yetter had the gull to ask me and even try to make it sound like a good idea to take the class A and deal with it (he wasn't even dressed appropriately walked in with a loose tie and looked like he had been out all night). I told him NO that isn't what we had discussed and I wanted them to send the letter in. It was clear that he had no communication with Brucar about the case, he didn't even have any of the paperwork I had handed off to Brucar! Fast forward two months after I had realized both Brucar and Yetter are complete jokes. I took my business to another attorney. He had advised me that it was absolutely ridiculous to think selling my bike would help the situation at all. He said the first ticket they had claimed to "get me out of" was still on my record. I found that they shystered me two times, not one, but two flippen times!!! So he sends the letter in (the one I am sure they didn't even attempt to send in) and within a couple of weeks gets it reduced with some community service and a very small fine (not the $5000, I was told I had to pay when with Brucar and Yetter). I call Brucar & Yetter after all said and done and they wont take my call. They are garbage lawyers and are the iconic snake in the grass that lawyers are depicted to be. I am an African American male that makes a little over minimum wage and at times nothing at all. I had a class 3 felony conviction on my record from when I was 18 years old. Despite having a degree and a Combat tour in a war zone underneath my belt. I wanted to file a petition for executive clemency in order to get a full time job in my career field, but didn't know even how to start much less have the ability to afford a lawyer. Other people were willing to charge well into the $20,000 range for similar services but I only had to pay a fraction of that cost for their services. They walked me through everything I needed to do. They patiently answered all of my questions, they showed through actions that they valued my business. They didn't try to bait and switch prices on me for anything. They advocated effectively for what I needed. Now I am happy to say that I have a petition of executive clemency granted from Pat Quinn. Thank you So much for what you have done, now I can move on in life and become what I truly want to be. In viewing other posts please realize there are always two sides to a story. In my opinion if a doctor is giving me a physical exam and I don't assist the doctor who is caring for me, then I cant get the service I need from the doctor. Be punctual with what they tell you that you need to do. If its a narrative they want then write it. If something needs to be filed then file it. Ask them what you can do to assist them in assisting you. Respect is key. OMG thank you Mr. Brucar, Mr. Yetter and the lady in the middle Mrs. Waetcher :). Okay, so I did something stupid a few months ago. I'm not going into the details because, well, it was stupid. I was given the phone number for these lawyers by a friend of mine (who had done something similarly stupid) and called them. Oddly, despite how often I use Yelp to find something it never occurred to me to look there for a lawyer. I called and first spoke to Mr. Yetter. He spent about 10 minutes with me on the phone and invited me to come in and talk to them. Apparently, due to the courthouse I had to go to, I had to meet with Mr. Brucar. He spent about 30 minutes with me in the office. They never asked for any money for any of this. At the end of my appointment Mr. Brucar told me what they could do, how long it would take and what it would cost. I left, without pressure from him, because I felt overwhelmed with everything. I actually met with another lawyer who gave me similar information but I felt much more rushed through it. I ended up hiring Mr. Brucar. I paid their fee in a few payments, and we never actually had another conversation about money (they sent me notices before my bill was due). During the process I had all of my calls and emails returned and their secretary was really nice about helping with dates and directions. My problem resolved almost exactly the way Mr. Brucar told me it would on day one and though I am really embarrassed about what happened I was at least treated well through the process. That being said, I wish there was a site where I could tell everyone what a crazy person the judge was. She was nice to me, and to Mr. Brucar, but she was super rude to people who didn't have lawyers. read more

I have hired Wayne Brucar to handle various matters for myself, my family, and many friends in legal trouble. He has years of criminal law experience. He handled several DUIs for a former wife.
