I started going to Sandy back in 2020 when she was located back in Rosemead. Since then, I've come back for three touch ups and continue to follow her regardless of which city she or I move to. I wholeheartedly trust Sandy and her expertise in terms of shape and color. Whenever I look back at photos of my eyebrows before Sandy, I cringe a little bit and needless to say I'm very grateful Sandy did her thang and gave me some eyebrows! For my most recent experience, I went in for my 24+ month touch up and Sandy was in the shop waiting for me. I told her I felt like I didn't retain as much color as I had hoped last time, and told her areas of my concern where I don't grow as much hair. Sandy listened (most importantly, she did not get defensive about my concerns) and when she was done with the touch up, it was apparent that she had addressed my concerns. The whole process took a little less than an hour and a half. The "most painful" part was when she outlines the eyebrow without the numbing cream. She describes it as feeling like little scratches, and I agree. This pain felt like a 1/10 - my partner's dog scratches me harder than that. Once the numbing cream is on, you can't feel a single thing. Sandy is very gentle and will check in with you to see how you're doing throughout the process. She is so easy to chat with and the time flies by. One thing she's always done every single time I've seen her is show me that she's using a new needle when it is still in it's packaging. After the eyebrows are completed, Sandy goes over the aftercare steps with you and then follows up with an email. She is very great at answering all questions. I texted Sandy in advance to see if she accepts credit card, and she quickly responded she accepts Zelle, or if I choose to pay via cc then there is a 3% processing fee. I opted to use Zelle and she had her QR code already printed out in the studio which I found very helpful. I could write a novel about how much I enjoy Sandy and her work. I have always wanted to get my eyebrows done ( and my eyeliner) so I wouldn't have to do much work every day, especially now being a busy mom. I had my eyebrow tattoo done in December 2024, and I was told at the time that the service included two sessions. After the first session, I was advised not to return too soon for the touch-up, but I was never clearly informed that the complimentary touch-up was strictly limited to one year. Today when I contacted the business to schedule my touch-up, I was informed that I would be charged an additional $275 for being just one month past the deadline. Although I was later told this requirement was stated in the agreement, this critical limitation was not clearly explained or emphasized verbally at the time of service. Had this been properly communicated, I would not have missed the timeframe. Considering that the original service cost exceeded $500, this is not a budget service. At this price point, clear communication and reasonable customer consideration should be standard. Instead, I experienced a very rigid and transactional approach, with only a $25 reduction offered after I politely requested a courtesy adjustment. I also referred a friend to this business in good faith. While I did not expect anything in return, it is generally reasonable in this industry to see some form of appreciation or consideration for referral clients. Unfortunately, there was none. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication transparency, lack of flexibility, and customer service that does not align with a premium-priced service. My sister has been wanting to get her brows done and I've been following Sandie on IG (@browsbysandiee) for a while. I recommended Sandie right away and I decided to book for myself also! It's one of the best decisions I've made because I no longer have to worry about doing my brows and making them look like evil stepsisters (lol). I am excited not having to draw in my brows for a while! Sandie makes it convenient by being able to book via her IG link and it tells you her availability and all the pre-procedure guidelines. If you have any questions, she responds in a timely manner and will make sure your concerns are addressed. Upon arrival, plenty parking and studio is easy to locate. The studio is bright and clutter free. Sandie and the studio are taking COVID precautions well. The studio is clean and the employees are masked, and only allowing the client to be inside the studio one at a time. Before the procedure, Sandie goes over the process and makes you comfortable and at ease by answering your questions. She also ask if there's any pictures for reference, but even without, she does well by going according to your shape and skin tone. She then goes on to shaping, outlining and then shading with the pigment. The overall process was about 2.5 hours, but Sandie allocates at least 3 hours for the whole process. She really makes sure you are happy with the shaping before moving forward. Even though I was happy with the shaping, she told me to take my time to observe and I really appreciated that because often times, I don't really receive that form of reassurance from other beauty services (nails, hair, etc). She suggested for my brows to be a bit darker than my sister since I do wear makeup occasionally and I'm in love with the color and shape. At first, I wasn't use to seeing myself with so much lid space, but I'm already getting use to it. Also, I was anticipating to be in pain during the whole process, but the numbing cream does wonders! You do feel a slight pinch in the beginning but it becomes normal after the initial minute. There was barely any pain. If that's a factor preventing you, don't let it be. After the procedure is done, she provided after-care instructions and also provided a goodie bag to take care of your brows. Honestly, I couldn't be more happy with the service and the outcome. When I was browsing for an artist to help do a new set on me, I was immediately drawned by Sandy's work! I love how meticulous and thorough she is and could not be more pleased with the results !! Once confirmed, Sandy contacted me and gave a great list of things I should/ shouldn't do before the appointment Actual Appointment: There's a bunch of parking for where her studio is located. It's clean and crisp inside which was welcoming and reassuring. She was a great conversationalist and very warm and patient. She mapped out my brows without too much direction from me. I think she studied the shape of my face and the best way to compliment it with brows. When she was done mapping, she adjusted per any of my comments Brow work: Sandiee is great at informing you of each step she takes and even showing a brand new needle. The pain level was MILD and was only felt during the initial outlining. Afterwards, she numbs it sooo much that I actually fell asleep! I woke up, in and out, when she was informing me about little tingles that might happen when she was applying something on my brows. When we were done, I was very impressed with the results! It was a bit different from how I normally had my brows but IMPROVED! I wanted a slightly higher arch and she also helped me with that after we were done After care info: Along with verbally informing me about aftercare, she sent me a great email that covers almost all scenarios for aftercare!
