Brows can make or break your face. Too thin or too dark they age you dramatically or people will wonder why you are confused or angry. The perfect shape brow and you look rested, refreshed and modern. Kim is a brow genius. There are no emojis to express her gifts. She explained her process, aftercare, the tools she would be using and her logic. She chose a dark blond pigment to match my hair and corrected the shape and color of my previous microblading experience. The new shape made my eyes look more balanced, natural, refreshed and open. The procedure itself was not painful at all. Kim applied a numbing cream, and then it was just a little scratchy vibration. As a last minute decision I decided to get an eyelash line enhancement to make my eyes pop. It's a very subtle pigment in between each lash. Think of it like a naked liner. Epic. Thank you so much Kim for giving me brows to go into the rest of 2020 like, "What?!"

It always scares me to look at myself right after the procedure. Kim let me have my small freak out and assured me that she would be there for me no matter how I felt after my brows and to wait until my brows weren't swollen anymore. She gave me a giant hug and said they will be perfect. Well... 24 hours later, they are PERFECT and the fact that she cares as much as she does, makes her absolutely the best in the business. I adore Kim!

They called me back the very next day and let me speak to April, the eyebrow specialist. April answered all my questions and was so sweet and patient with me because I told her how nervous I was. I went in for a consultation. I never felt pressured by April to commit to getting the microblading. We talked about the process and she showed me what color she recommended for me based on my hair and skin color. Then she explained how she maps out your brows to get the perfect shape. I had a concern about one area of my brow and she listened to me and wasn't offended at all. That day I scheduled my microblading appointment for a few weeks later. The day of the appointment I was so nervous but April walked me through it again and we agreed on the shape I was comfortable with. I cannot rave about April enough! She tried to distract me because the procedure is a little painful. She stopped and let me look in the mirror every so often because she could tell how anxious I was. When she was done I cried because I was so in love with my brows! April is an angel and if you are interested in microblading or just curious I highly recommend going to her. She knows exactly what she's doing, you can tell she's been doing it for a while. April is so patient, sweet and professional! She was not the least bit intimidating or pushy and never once disregarded or minimized my concerns or anxiousness. The receptionists there were also very sweet and friendly.

I had a very disappointing experience at Skin Lab. I underwent three treatments -- jawline…read morecontouring, Kybella, and Botox for the masseter muscles -- all recommended by Dana Barbieri. I paid over $3,000, and after waiting the suggested amount of time, I saw absolutely no visible results. At my follow-up appointment, even one of the practitioners, Stephanie, agreed there was no noticeable change. I was told the manager would follow up with me, but no one contacted me for days. When I finally got in touch with the office manager, Melanie Tzenova, I was shocked to hear that the only "solution" they could offer was a 30% discount to redo the Kybella treatment. No proper complaint process, no accountability, no offer of a meeting -- just a phone call and a vague apology. I find it unacceptable to be offered a discount to spend more money on a treatment plan that didn't work the first time -- especially when it was recommended by their own professionals. Clients deserve transparency, results that reflect the price they're paying, and above all, respectful communication. I'm sharing my experience and my before-and-after (spending $3,000 in this place) to help others avoid wasting their money. I do not recommend Skin Lab based on how they handled this situation.

So for this I give 4 stars. The place was clean and bright and the staff was friendly! The biggest negative I have, which is why I am giving 3 stars, is that I called to talk to the manager about a concern. I was told she'd be in in 5 minutes and would call me back, but I didn't receive a call. I called back a month later, was told my message would be passed along, and yet another no call back. I'm not sure if the concern deterred the manager, but in any event, a call back would have been appreciated. It has been 6+ months and no contact from the office whatsoever.
