Giving 1 star is too much for this self acclaimed #1 tree service. I am disabled and a huge tree came down in front of my cabin. They came out and bid the job. I accepted the bid and the work was scheduled. When the day arrived, no one showed up, no one called, and no phone calls returned after several attempts. Very very unprofessional and would tell everyone I know to "Better not call Browns!" a little play on their own advertising. I wouldn't let them come now if they paid me...very bad business. read more

Nobody calls you back to get anything done. Browns gave me an estimate and I called to confirm and then no responses. I've called 3 times over several weeks and sent text messages. Horrible customer service read more

They give you an estimate, encounter "issues " but never returns calls or texts when I requested an update. Totally unprofessional.

Took forever, finally got them out to give a quote and then never heard from them again and couldn't get them on the phone and they never called back after leaving a message. If you are looking for a tree service, don't waste your time with browns...you probably won't even get a chance to talk to anyone. read more

The owner might want to reconsider their comment regarding inclement weather when they were to do my job. According to the U.S. Climatological Data, there was no rain in Fayetteville Ar. during that time period. Also they were going to use the cherry pickers they were not going to climb the trees. Browns has always done a good job for me. They first trimmed my Bradford pear tree in 2013. I first was amazed that a Bradford could take a big cut back but it's 2017 and I had it cut back again. Quick quote process and contact. This time I had to cut a dead tree down. It was spotless when I came home. They know trees and do a good job. read more

Brown's Tree Care contracted to grind a stump for me in January, 2022, and will not perform the service they charged me $250 to complete. I prepaid that amount in January. I have contacted them over a dozen times and they refuse to return my calls or refund my money. I have contacted the Arkansas Better Business Bureau and they contacted Brown's. Brown's gave the BBB several excuses for their failure to meet their commitment for over 4 months. Brown's falsely told the BBB they had reached out to me. One star is one star to many for this "longest running tree service in Northwest Arkansas, serving the area for almost 50 years. We pride ourselves on giving the best service in the area, and no job is too large or small. Whether it is one tree limb that needs to be removed, or 1,000 trees, we can do it." --- They can't. And the Wilkins purchased it. Also on their website - "Customer service is a point of pride for us, and the reason why we've been in business for so long." --- Not from what we experienced. I have called over 25 times to get an issue resolved and they have picked up the phone once. It always takes them days to respond. We have only talked to Karena, who is an owner. She acts more like a clueless, hourly employee then she does as an "owner". They also will not make appointments or call ahead like they say they will. They will just show up unannounced and enter your backyard without your permission, even if you are home (most people would knock the front door first, but not Brown). And when we approached the employee about it, they might call the police (but not to report them for entering your backyard, but for carrying an iPhone which they said was a gun). Give your money to someone else! Even if it is double the quote! I would have given someone else ten times the amount, which would have saved me and my family time, energy, and lawyer fees. read more

Can not recommend. Their work was fine, but during the estimate process the estimator strongly led me to believe the total would be $200. We had a long conversation around that because he'd told me the total was $190. I should have payed closer attention to the estimate because off of the bill line that I totaled there was another reference to another $300. Now I'm scrambling to find an extra $300 that if communication had been clear I'd never agreed to have paid. I'm going to have to pay it as it's be my word vs theirs but if you do decide to do business with them get the total in writing at the estimate and before they do any work. They conveniently only revealed this after the work was done. After discovering the error I felt like I was being called a liar and that was that.
