$110 for service call was acceptable but $390 to roto root kitchen sink 15 feet was ridiculous. Service was good but paying $510 to put the rooter down 15' to clear a grease/household blockage was highway robbery. Paid at office in order to discuss the high price only to have the guy at the desk say "it's because it's sometimes difficult to clear the blockage and it's detail work". He quit trying to blow smoke up my clean out when I knew the machine was a $1500 machine and it took less than an hour. My brother has been a plumber for 35 years and told me I got ripped off, just wish he wasn't 4 hours away or I wouldn't have been taken advantage of. Called around in Steinbach and was quoted $200-$250 by other plumbers so I know who never to call again. They literally drove 4 blocks so travel cannot justify the price either. Any plumber with a fancy binder with flat rates will take you for a ride. read more

Specialties

When your faucet is leaking and your furnace is about to shut down, turn to the professional technicians at Brown's Plumbing and Heating Ltd. Founded by Geordie Brown in 1974, it has been passed on to son Garry Brown, who has kept it growing and thriving in the Steinbach area, with a second branch that opened in Morris in 2009.

History

Established in 1974.

Brown's Plumbing and Heating Ltd was founded by Geordie Brown in 1974, since then it has been passed on to son Garry Brown, who has kept it growing and thriving here in Steinbach, with a second branch that opened in Morris in 2009. Over the years many companies have come and gone, but we've been able to stand strong and expand. This is primarily due to the quality of our people, our professional approach, and to the commitment we make to our customers. We recognize as a company, that without a satisfied customer there is no company. The bottom line is, we take great pride in a job well done. Our technicians take what they do seriously and we know we can't stay in business unless we do everything in our power to make sure the customer is satisfied. This is the way we believe it should be done. This is what we do.

You can even see the note on the receipt about the vents being dirty... that is what they are being paid for... why write it down? I was not home at the time and the technician confused my wife with the need for more services. These "services" took 10 minutes to do and ended up costing close to $700. I came home in time to prevent a further $500 for disinfecting which would have been another scam. We've had our system cleaned many times by other companies and have never experienced this.

Great customer service. Ryan was pleasant; made sure everything worked correctly with our new water heater; and was very thorough in his explanations before leaving and cleaned up after himself, which is a bonus in today's day and age read more
