I wish I had read the Google reviews before engaging in this low class organization. I would have saved myself money on an unnecessary repair and 3 MONTHS OF WAITING. I contacted this company in the first week of March 2018 as the pilot light on our gas fireplace would not remain lit. This will be long but please read all the way through.
- March 8, 2018 - called to arrange a technician appointment. The technician was on holidays and cannot come out until March 19, 2018
- March 19, 2018 - the technician, Dalen, arrives and says he did a service on the fireplace and cleaned everything (this will be addressed further down). He says the power generator needs replacing (it turns out it didn't) and charged me for the call. The fireplace worked... for about 10 minutes. Of course this is after he leaves.
-March 21, 2018 - Dalen comes back and now announces that the gas valve (priced at $400) needs to be replaced. He tells me it will take 4 weeks for this part to arrive (this will also be addressed later).
- April 25, 2018 - no one has contacted me so I call the company. Not only is Dalen not working there anymore (quit? Fired?), he hadn't ordered the part and NO ONE FOLLOWED UP ON MY WORK ORDER. A message is left for Cam, the Service Manager, to call me back. Cam does indeed call me back and he told me it would take another 2.5 weeks to get the part in. I ask if he would come and performs a service call himself to ensure that is what is needed and he said he doesn't need to.
- May 18, 2018 - again, no one has contacted me so I once again contact the company. I am told I must speak to Cam since he is the Service Manager. A message will be left for him (note: he did not call me back)
- May 25, 2018 - I contact the company AGAIN since they do not feel the need to follow up or do anything they promise. I speak with Diana, the office manager, who is outraged that Cam did not call me back, apologizes, but emphasizes that once a work order is forwarded to Cam, she has no control over it. She says she will contact the supplier and call me back. She actually called me back later that day and said that no one knows where the part is but they are tracking it and she PROMISES to call me back later this same day (Friday) or on Monday (May 28).
- June 1, 2018 - once again I am calling them as they have not called me. Not a big surprise. Diana tells me they are still tracking the part. Folks, it does not take a full week to track a part, no matter where in the world it is.
- June 13, 2018 - Diana calls me and leaves a message advising the part is in. This is now over 3 months since I made first contact with this company. In the meantime I had called Fireplace Service Department (777fire) and they replaced the faulty gas valve within a couple days at a cheaper price! They also cleaned the entire fireplace top to bottom as it had never been done previously.
