Martin contacted us with a reasonable quote. We liked the price and the fact that they were in the neighborhood too so we hired them to remove the 12' by 9' wall of mirrors. The two friendly workers were prompt and super efficient. They were able to remove the four large mirrors without even a crack in them and did it all in 30 minutes. That includes hauling them out of our place and into their truck so we didn't have to dispose of them. All of this for a good price (much less then the other quote we got). I know if I tried this myself I would have shattered glass all over the place and I would have been paying for an emergency room visit! Martin Glass was well worth it!

My partner dropped off four window screens to be rescreened. On the first visit, the woman at the counter noticed the tension springs were missing from most of them and asked Sam, the manager, what to do. His answer was "well, if she's accurate, then we need to order some more, and it'll be a week." I hadn't been doubted about anything yet, and I was already being doubted. Two weeks passed with no contact, so I called and drove over. Sam told me they had texted and called. I received neither. The only reason I was standing there is that I called them. He then told me I had brought in three screens, not four. I told him it was four. He would not go look again. He told me I was trespassing, told me to leave, and said he was calling the police, and he started dialing. He stood there dialing for four or five minutes and never completed a call. While he was pretending to dial, I told him how it looked from where I was standing: he had decided I was wrong because I'm a woman, and he was keeping my property over it. He went back to pretending to dial. I finally asked the woman at the counter if she would please check one more time. She went back, said "oh, hold on," and my fourth screen was exactly where it should have been. The three large ones had been grouped together and the small one set off by itself. Their own filing was the whole mystery. I left with all four screens and no apology. The one star is not for her. She was the only person in that building who was willing to go look. A busy counter miscounts sometimes. That is not what this review is about. This is about a manager who would rather accuse a paying customer of lying, and fake-dial the police for five minutes, than ask his own employee to look one more time. If you use this shop anyway, photograph what you drop off with the full count in the frame, label each piece, and get the count written on your ticket.

Their estimator was friendly and knowlegable and spent quit a bit of time with me. I didn't feel rushed. I thought their estimate was fair. Communication prior to starting work was excellent. On the start day they showed up on time with a crew of seven. Jeff (supervisor?) has worked for WR for something like 26 years... a good guy. The foreman had something like 8 years with WR. That tells me a lot. The second day they showed up with a crew of nine due to the posibility of bad weather late in the day and the rest of the week. I was told that under no circumstance would they leave my house unprotected. Everything went exactly as they promised. The roof looks fantastic. Everyone was courteous, professional and respectful of my property. Their cleanup each day was absolutely impecable. Other than the fact that I have a new roof and rain gutter, you would never know that they were even here.

Apparently, my $40,000 job wasn't big enough to warrant much attention. They certainly took their…read moretime. If workers showed up at all, it was late in the day on a Friday. We undertook a large remodel project that included a new roof, windows, siding, and gutters than…read moreran from July-November. This two-star rating does not reflect the quality of work performed by the individual sub-contracted companies, which final product was satisfactory after timely repairs. The low rating is due to a significant lack of communication with Ridge Top, and unfinished work. Sub-contracted crews showed up on-site unannounced or changed their work schedule without notice from Ridge Top. We were informed we did not need to be home on days only outdoor projects would be completed, and yet crews were ringing the doorbell asking for instructions about installation that was not provided to them by Ridge Top (window orientation, down spout locations, etc). This interfered with work-from-home meetings. During siding work, the doorbell circuit was closed by poor nail placement causing it to run continuously. This resulted in both the door bell and transformer to become overheated and melt the bell chime cover inside the house. This was replaced by an electrician in a timely manner. Significant work-site debris was left in the yard, and Ridge Top's project managers shared our alarm at the final walk through. Together, we picked up roofing brackets, pail-full of nails we have collected with our own magnet, trimmed pieces of fascia/soffit/siding, and whole shingles. When we signed with Ridge Top we specifically asked, and were assured, that the new window trim would match the existing size, eliminating the need for additional significant drywall and paint repair. After 2 separate measurement appointments before installation, the finished trim installed on 13 windows was significantly smaller. We raised this concern during installation and at multiple walkthroughs, but it was repeatedly ignored. At the final walkthrough, Ridge Top acknowledged the extensive repairs required to both drywall and painting, and offered to provide compensation if we could get a quote from our own painter. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the quote was shared with Ridge Top and multiple un-returned phone calls, they reversed this decision citing generic contract terms. This situation would not have been an issue had Ridge Top honored their initial assurance of minimal repairs or addressed the problem promptly. Instead, the lack of transparency and follow-through has resulted in unnecessary additional expenses and frustration.

After fighting for six months with my insurance company to pay for a new roof due to hail damage, I…read morethought the worst was over with. Little did I know..! They not only charged two grand over the price quoted, they filed a lien on the property even though they knew I was in the process of taking out a bank loan to pay for it. This was after they had already received eleven thousand dollars (almost all that was due). Ironically, they're filing of the lien might be the the thing that sinks the loan, as it is a HELOC. Greedy, greedy company. As for the quality of the work, I am pretty sure I didn't get my money's worth. There are items on the invoice that I am certain they didn't do because Jeff, the guy in charge told me they weren't going to do, but he told me he would be billing insurance for anyway. They got it all done within a single day with a bunch of guys who didn't speak English. Their sign will be going in the garbage today.
