My sewage line wasn't draining properly so I got bid from them. They used a camera (sophisticated) to explore the sewage line, which was about 60 ft from the fence line/alley. Guy said that it was old clay pipe that needed to be replaced for $7000. And they would have to replace it all the way to the city main, which would make Abilene the only city that allows anyone to work on their city mains. So just to check on what the city had which I figured was upgraded to pvc (it was) I dug down to the sewer line at the edge of the property. So I started digging down to the sewer line a couple of other places just to verify what the plumber claimed. It ended up only being clay about 10 ft on my property from the city's line. So if the guy had been honest and not tried to grossly exaggerated or pad the estimate he would have said replace the 10 feet of clay because he couldn't have missed it with the camera that he ran from the trap next to my house down toward the fence line. This is probably a common way that unscrupulous plumbers line their pockets. It took a day to dig up that 10 ft of clay and replace w pvc. Cost $89 for supplies. What a profit margin. The sad thing or maybe part of the scam was the fish (Christian) symbol on his truck.

He convinced me I'd be better off letting his guys work hourly, rather than getting a bid, and he told me the work should take 2-3 days. Trusting they'd get the job done in a timely manner proved to be a huge mistake. I received the invoice and was totally shocked to find he had invoiced me for 4 full days. His guys also left a huge mess. Rotted cast iron was left in the front yard, the clean out was uncapped and they didn't bury it, the tub was filled with disgusting wet insulation, and the hot water heater that had a leak was left behind. I immediately contacted Bryant to express my concern over the price and we just went round and round in circles over the phone. At the end of our conversation, I asked him why his guys had left such a mess to which he replied that they weren't done yet. So in other words, he was going to have his guys go back out and bill me for a 5th day. Wow! Seriously, if you're going to give someone an estimate on time, you should at the very least be in the ballpark, if you call yourself a professional. Also you need to communicate when you are taking longer than quoted and the customer is being billed by the hour. Plus why are you sending me an invoice before the work is done? Doesn't make sense. I believe if I hadn't called him out, he would have taken my money and left me with that mess. Claiming to provide quality workmanship...please, spare me. Check the pics. What we needed was a big job, as we had no water to our washing machine in the garage and our laundry was piling up.... They put in Pex pipe from the kitchen to the garage going thru the attic and also repairing and stabilizing a toilet and broken sink drain pipe by going under the house and also thru the wall in our kitchen, which unfortunately was necessary. The difference is I used the proper cable size, your man did not have the proper cable size to pass through a 2" trap especially since he did not have a trap leader. I retired last year and did not want to involve myself in unclogging the drain because I gave my drain cleaning equipment to my son. He had to take time out of his weekend to bring the equipment over for me to unclog the drain(took less than 8 min). The younger guy was rude to my wife as they went to the wrong door and never rang the bell then attempted to mock her suggesting she should have known they were there? Next, these fraudsters stood around as I attempted to move a stacked washer and dryer so they had more room with so much as offering a hand. The kid went back and took photos. But the older fraud already knew the problem or rather... the "solution" he would present. He told me they didn't sell valves separately but I KNEW THEY DID! I said they do, then he said something that made no sense and told me I would need to move the washer and dryer myself and they would have to replace the entire box even though the warranty would only cover the valves? But why would a warranty only cover valves you supposedly couldn't buy? This along with obviously cutting drywall I would have to fix, replacing my CPVS piping with pex without giving me a reason. BUT did tell me the warranty would cover the valves? How could a home warranty cover valves that didn't exist as a part? How would they price them? 1/3 of a box set? I never told them I was an HVAC tech and they assumed because of our home that they could rip us off and tried. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They WILL take your warranty and include whatever they can to max out your repair. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM WITH THE REPAIR THEY ARE THAT INCOMPETENT. So I purchased the valves myself and will make the fix myself. Save your mothers and fathers and daughters from these dregs of humanity. The WORST!!! Negative 10 stars! I have lived in my house for almost 5 years and it never cooled right. After my ducts work was all complete and working correctly , for the 1st time in 5 years I froze my butt off last night sleeping. Im so happy with everything they have done for us. We were asking for a solution to getting hot water to the far end of the house faster, as we haul water, and running 50 gal down the drain waiting for it to get hot is expensive. They recommended and installed some kind of circulating pump thingy that attaches to the water heater, and when switched on (has a timer so you can set various times for it to be active) hot water instantly comes out of the faucet in the far corner of the house. Don't know how it works, but it works great! We never would have thought of that solution, but it solved our problem to a T! Highly recommend their technician Grady.
