When my old system broke, James and his team came out right away, walked me through the different options, and took the time to make sure I was choosing the right system for my home and my family. A few days later, they came back and completed the entire installation. The new system works great and is a huge improvement over what we had before. James and his team are honest, hardworking, and genuinely care about doing the job right. It is easy to see why they have so many positive reviews. I would highly recommend 1st Choice to anyone looking for a new HVAC system or needing repairs on an existing one.

I received a competitively priced estimate from 1st Choice for a 5-ton Lennox heat-pump system…read more However, I decided not to proceed because the company refused to revise its initial estimate to include several important details and stated that the estimate would serve as the final contract. The proposal specified a variable-capacity heat pump even though we had discussed a two-stage system, but it did not clearly confirm how the equipment would operate with my existing zone control board. It also did not include the AHRI Reference Number needed to verify the exact system's certified efficiency, nor the requested surge protection. For a major HVAC installation, important equipment specifications and agreed-upon work should be clearly included in the written contract. Although the price was competitive, their unwillingness to revise the initial estimate left too much uncertainty for me to proceed.

Our experience with him was a great example of what honest, transparent customer service should look like. I contacted One Season for a second opinion after another HVAC company diagnosed an issue and quoted me for both parts and labor. Zachary diagnosed the same issue and identified the same repair, but there was one very important difference: before simply giving me a price, he explained that the parts should still be covered under the manufacturer's warranty and that he wanted to confirm the coverage before quoting me for something I may not need to pay for. Sure enough, Zachary was right. The parts were under warranty, which meant I was only responsible for the labor. That level of honesty immediately earned my trust. Zachary could have easily quoted the entire repair and I would have had no reason to question it. Instead, he took the time to look out for us as the customer, research the warranty, explain everything clearly, and make sure we understood exactly what we were paying for. Beyond the transparency, Zachary did a great job with the repair. He was professional, knowledgeable, communicative, and straightforward throughout the entire process. It's refreshing to work with a technician and company that put the customer first and do the right thing, especially when the customer may not know enough to ask the right questions. Zachary and One Season saved me from unnecessarily paying for parts that were already covered and delivered excellent service from start to finish. We will absolutely use One Season Heating and Air Conditioning again. Highly recommended.

We ended up with an all new heat pump system that is quiet and really efficient (17.5 SEER2). We already anticipated need for a new system since every tech that came in last 5 years said it was on its last leg, before it finally died during an extreme heat warning. The installation crew arrived on time, were very respectful of our garage items (helped move bikes to backyard and even used cloths to cover from the sun!), never complained about the working conditions (hot garage and tight garden area for fan unit), and were informative about the process. They also left our property very clean and tidy upon job completion after a single (and very hot) day of installation. As a bonus, I was not expecting the excellent craftsmanship of the lovely stainless platform cover over the new plywood they cut-to-fit for the removal of the old/damaged platform/box deck, and they used duct-board and sealant to finally make the interior of the intake under the unit sealed from all the walls and dust generation that has been blown throughout the home since the 1970s. Could not be happier with the end product as well as the process from inspection/quote to system startup. I would recommend Air Blue HVAC to my mom, friends/family, and to you! Give them an opportunity to earn your business as they offered us the best price on the best system. Thank you, Air Blue HVAC team!

Extremely disappointed with NexGen's protection plan…read more I paid for this membership for over two years because it included things I actually used -- my annual tankless water heater flush, A/C check, and replacement A/C filters. Now, apparently, those benefits have changed. Filters are no longer included and the water heater flush costs extra. What really makes me angry is that I do not recall NexGen ever notifying me that the benefits I was paying for had changed. They even called ME to schedule my annual water heater flush through my membership, only for me to find out afterward that I would now have to pay extra for it. So what exactly am I paying for? To make matters worse, nearly every service visit seemed to come with a new list of recommended repairs or upgrades costing anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. At a certain point, it becomes very difficult not to feel like the membership is more useful as an opportunity to sell you additional work than as an actual maintenance plan. If NexGen had simply been upfront and notified customers that the plan was changing, I could have decided whether it was still worth paying for. Instead, I continued paying for a membership based on benefits I had received for years, only to discover they were no longer included. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend this protection plan. Save your money and get everything they claim is included in writing before signing up.
