I probably look like such a curmudgeon on these review sites. A negative experience tends to be what triggers me to write a review. Also, I tend to point out a lot of elephants in the room.
The unpleasant part first: one of the hygienists is good and very sweet 98% of the time, but can sometimes be blunt. It's not always necessary, fair, accurate, or warranted. I was there the other day, and she tossed out a comment at the very end, that I was insulted by. "Floss more." I wish I had spoken up for myself, but I was taken aback by this incorrect assumption. What I wish I would have said: "That's interesting, because I've been doing the best flossing of my life for the last 9 months. I floss every day, once a day. I brushed and flossed right before coming here, actually. So should I ramp that up to twice a day?" Saying something like "Are you flossing? How often? Maybe try twice a day instead of once, and see how that goes for you" would have been a better way to handle the subject.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, here's the overriding good. I've been seeing Dr Brown and crew for most of my life - since 1989, in 5 different decades, and pretty soon it will be 5 different age decades for me. Even though I only see them a couple times a year, they remember me as if we see each other every day. I don't know how well I would do at remembering people I only see every 6 to 9 months, but they never miss a beat. The front desk is friendly, helpful, welcoming, and great at fitting me in if something comes up and I need to get in soon. I had a frustrating incident back in 2002, but they improved what needed to be improved. It was a one-time thing that didn't happen again. Cooper is cool and fun-loving, and he will never guess in a million years what I associate him with (and I will probably never tell him in a million years). Dr. Brown is easygoing and gentle. All in all, great place with a lifetime of memories. read more
