I am very disappointed in Lanier Dental Partners. My wife and our two (now adult) children have…read morebeen patients of Dr Palmer for 22 years. We started seeing him before he joined Lanier Dental Partners, and we followed him there. We all go every 6 months for a cleaning, even during Covid. My children sat in my wife's lap as babies so they wouldn't grow up scared of the dentist. There has also been the occasional dental emergency. EVERY TIME we paid immediately after the appointment was over. For twenty years we have lived at the same address and had the same phone number. Dr Palmer recently retired and I am not very happy with Dr. Patel, his replacement. Recently, every time we go, they insist we fill out a medical history form, even if nothing has changed. The last time I went in for an appointment it was the same thing but then, the woman at the desk asked for a copy of my Driver's License. Remember, for twenty years we pay as soon as the appointment is over and we've lived in the same house. They really have no need to ask for my Driver's License. I decided we would just find another dentist and cancelled all our upcoming appointments. Now, they can legally ask for my Driver's License. However there is a lot of identity theft going on in the world. If hackers can breach large companies like AT&T, Equifax, Visa etc., how easy is it to breach Lanier Dental Partners? I would not advise anyone to have their Drivers License copied unless you have to for insurance reasons. I am in the finance business and 4 or 5 times a year we hear from our clients that someone stole their I.D. Businesses like Lanier Dental Partners have a policy in place that makes your identity accessible. I would think twice before you hand over that information. On February 7, Dr Patel sent me a Certified Letter "firing" us from her practice because I refused to give them my license. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this practice. They only want to check the boxes and have forgotten they are dealing with real people. The letter from Dr. Patel is just one more example. I would have never done this review, but Dr. Patel just went too far. P.S. Beautiful office and all of the staff are very nice. This location is good location for me. I…read moreneeded an implant done. I previously did the oral surgery and waited for everything to take. Had my final visit with oral surgeon. I am somewhat new to the area and selected Lanier Dental Partners due to the great reviews and location. When I got there, Nice waiting area and lots of front office people. Everyone was very nice. Was moved back to a dental chair. I am self pay / without insurance and they brought me a piece of paper to sign. right at 2,800 dollars for 1 tooth. Felt like thats a lot. I already have a lot in this with the extraction and oral surgery for the implant. Looked around the room and they have a poster for an in house annual plan for around 400. This would have saved 20 percent (not sure exactly) but I did the math and it would have saved more than it cost. I said OK - lets do the annual plan. It will save me more than it costs. I was then informed that it takes 24 hours for the annual plan to go into effect, so I couldn't sign up today and get the services today. I left kindof confused about the visit. the tooth seemed like a lot of money. Not being able to get the annual plan on day of treatment (seems like it is an In-House plan) I called my former dentist on my way home and verbally he told me worst case on implant would be 1,800 - 1,000 dollars less than Lanier Dental Partners. I ended up going to my former dentist. An hour away, but saved 1,000 out of pocket. Lanier Dental Partners seems like a very nice office and nice people, But maybe not a great choice if you are Self Pay.

Went in for a simple, routine cleaning and X-rays as my previous dentist is no longer in practice…read more I was told I would need two crowns and all of my wisdom teeth removed. I was also told that one of my wisdom teeth "probably had a large cavity" due to the color of the tooth under a special light and that if I didn't have it removed it would eventually become inflamed. The tooth has never bothered me and I was never told I had a cavity in that tooth. My last cleaning at my former dentist office was just 8 months prior, and I was told I had "zero " cavities. Hard to believe that all of a sudden I have a large cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. That would be gross oversight for my former dentist.! I am getting a second opinion and will not return here. They seems to try to nickel and dime you

We recently left this practice after repeated issues and unprofessional behavior. Despite multiple…read morerequests -- including replying "STOP" to their messages and calling the office directly -- we continued to receive appointment reminders and marketing texts/emails long after we asked to be removed from their system. When we switched to a new dental office and requested that my wife's X-rays be sent over, they claimed she wasn't even a patient. Only after she specifically referenced her appointment date did they "suddenly" find her records and agree to send them. That level of disorganization -- or possible attempt to deceive -- is deeply concerning. Throughout our time there, both my wife and I (in our 40s) were repeatedly pressured to get braces -- something that seemed more motivated by upselling than actual medical necessity. I even agreed to have them perform over $1,000 worth of work based on their recommendations, and in hindsight, I seriously question whether all of it was truly needed. The whole experience left us feeling like revenue targets instead of patients receiving honest, professional care. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this practice to others. It felt more like a sales operation than a trusted healthcare provider.
