Cool sightseeing and photo opportunities just a bit outside the main road if you keep driving through broad run park. Has it own private parking lot and opens up to big spacious areas. On the outside there is all kids of tables and areas for picnics and like the rest Fo broad run park there is available walking trails near and around the silo. The silo itself is pretty cool. You can make the hike up the steps from the inside and get tot when too where you can do a full 360 circle walk around to take in different aerial views. This is a lot of fun for kiddos an adults. My kids love racing to the top and checking out the views. And after long days of playing in the ear by splash parks, playgrounds and walking trails these massive steps is the last straw in finally wearing them and the adults out and sends everyone home happy. Very cool place to check out and if your already visiting broad run or turkey run park which I also highly recommend it is worth the short drive over to check out. Even if you don't want to climb the steps and get to the top. It is still a real nice area.

A very cute and neat place to take kids and loved ones. I am not a fan of heights, but the railings on the stairs and at the top are high enough that I do well. Very fun for selfies and pointing out landmarks in the distance. Each stair isn't very high, there's just a lot of them. Very nice grip since they are solid steel. They are also pretty wide so you can take your time getting up or down them without hindering the flow of others.

Super nice view from up here! My wife and I just took our nieces, and decided to check this out. We went on a gorgeous day, and the silo really provided a highlight to it. When you're up here, you may even feel like you're in a toally different city. While it's more of an observatory than anything else, I think the silo helps top entrance Turkey Run Park, creating a sort of attraction. You can also decide where in the park you prefer to go once you see each path pretty clearly. If you're in the area, or especially on the park, I would certainly recommend making the six story climb top the top of the silo. If nothing else, at least you're getting a little workout in!

So fresh and so clean! Because it's basically brand new! I am a big fan of the Parklands! The BF Silo is located in the Turkey Run Park of the Parklands. It is situated in an open-air area, flanked by re-done barns, picnic areas, and facilities (toilets and water fountain). The silo has been outfitted with stairs to the top, so you can climb to the top of the observatory tower. The stairs seem fairly short in comparison to normal staircases, so the climb isn't too strenuous. And the view from the top is pretty spectacular. You are only a short distance outside of the city, and there are plenty of reminders that you are still there (power lines and cell phone towers). But it is a lovely view!

It also a few small trails that surround the park that lets you see yeh park from several angles. The park includes seven benches on the banks of the water for viewing pleasure. They also have a giant pavilion that can be rented out. Which looks like at one point was very impressive. Now it's not upkept and filled with graffiti. It's honestly the only eye sore here. Hopefully they clean it up. Overall cool place that looks like it has 3 different parking lots for different entry points. Although the water is low enough and there is a bough rocks to easily walk this small park and get to any entrance. We had a nice visit here and I look for art to coming back with my other kids and enjoying the exploring and playground.

There are plenty of spots for fishing but some of them you will need to take a short hike down a gravel road. If you bring a wagon make sure it has bigger wheels but probably best to carry everything to make it easier. There is a fishing dock as well that's pretty big and most definitely is shareable with a few groups. The hiking trail that extends around to the dam is a fun walk since it goes in and out of wooded covering. Makes it great for sunny days as well. The playground is nice and maybe small to moderate size. There are BBQ stands to use and picnic tables. There are bathrooms but not very quick to get to from most parts of the park so keep that in mind. Great place to kayak as well! Great views and since the lake is narrow it makes it feel more like a river to go through. Super fun place! Glad to see them doing more work on it Only criticism is that there is lots of trash and even though it's the patrons fault, the park could do a better job at cleaning it up. Watch your little ones so they don't pick up pokey fish hooks or broken bottles.
