So. I just had a nice thing happen. It's kinda dumb, but it made me smile and I want to tell you about it... I just went through the wash and I usually do the whole vacuum and towel dry thing, but didn't feel like it today. About an hour later as I was putting groceries into the back, I noticed a piece of the rear wiper was missing. It's just the cosmetic plastic cap that goes over the "elbow". Not important but it was just kind of a "ugh. Of course" kind of thing. I was just going to come home and chalk it up to having an older car, Yada Yada Yada.... But. I decided, what the hell - just go back and ask about it. So I did. I said it was no big deal and admitted that it was a long shot, but asked if they ever find that kind of stuff. The young attendant (I wish I had his name) was super nice and said he'd check. He came out of the tunnel like a minute later with a huge grin saying that he thought he had found it. And he did!!! I was really happy. But the kid was so proud of himself and the other attendants were so pumped up! They all high fived me and each other. It was so silly, but made me so happy. I paid $14 for the berry berry berry top of the line car wash, drove away and looked at my car about 20 minutes later and it was still really dirty. It's like all those high-tech brushes and bristles did not even connect with the lower part of my car underneath the doors. This is not what I expect from Brown Bear nor what I've gotten in the past. I actually had to run my car through another car wash in the neighborhood that I had driven to. I didn't of course pay $14 at this new car wash (that was not a Brown Bear) I got the Cheapo $5 rinse off but it helped. Am super disappointed in this trip to the brown bear in Poulsbo. read more

Was looking for a new car wash for my extremely dirty car. Went to the self service brown bear but did not want to proceed. So I drove down the block to this fine establishment and got the $16 car wash. Staff was great. Asked me if I need assistance after the wash. Dryers are $2 but you get free towels and spray to fine detail your car. I advise to bring your own microfiber cloth read more

Took my brand new Subaru here and signed up for the membership because I had only heard good things about them. The girl forgot to tape down my back windshield wiper, so it ripped off in the car wash. They apparently couldn't find it. Then I examined my car and it's covered in big scratches, and between the scratches are those tiny spiderweb scratches. Do not bring your car here!!! Biggest mistake I've made in awhile. My new car now needs a paint job I'm updating this review because I had my car looked at by the manager, and he told me Brown Bear would pay for a buff job, no questions asked. read more

Just moved to the area. Not a big selection of car washes and I was hoping that this would be the place we bring our vehicles to. In Florida, we had a monthly membership and this place offers one. However, you have to pay additional for the vacuuming. $1.50/3 minutes. By the time you run around the vehicle your time is about a 1/3 up. As for the was, I'm posting pictures. It will get surface dirt off but not bugs. My rims were still dirty. There is NO option for wheel shine either. When you go to dry your vehicle, they provide wash cloths which are NOT good for the car's surface and they leave a crap ton of lint on your vehicle. I do not recommend this place unless they change a lot of the features here. I will not be back. When i spoke with one of the workers, they recommended another car wash that is not a brown bear. First and last time through a car wash. I had hope for Brown Bear and am disappointed to see that the molding on the left side of my rear windshield was completely torn off. $100 to replace. Do not recommend. EDIT 19 August 2020: I received a call from the manager, Trish, at the 303 Bremerton location after leaving my information with an employee a couple days prior. She has offered to reimburse me for the lost part. Great customer service and I'm thankful for her assistance with the issue. read more

This car wash ripped off not only my license plate but the rear wings on my Genesis. When I called to notify them, they told me they found my license but magically could not find my emblem. If they had they said they would pay for the fix, so kinda funny to me that the wings weren't found. Now it is a $250 fix that I have to pay for. I do not recommend them at all. read more

This is a (revised) review. Still the best wash in the Poulsbo area. When it opened, I was very delighted to discover that ApplePay was supported. ApplePay is superior to the chip on my credit card, which is superior to the magnetic strip on that same card. Superior in what way? SECURITY! Not long after the wash opened, ApplePay was seemingly abandoned. It would be easy to simply state that there is a problem with Apple were it not for ApplePay's continuous growth in global popularity. It continues to dominate. To make matters worse, I had to "slide" my card to make the purchase. Not even support for the chip! I would sincerely appreciate an upgrade to this system. read more

This is one of the best things about living in Poulsbo, this car wash is the most convenient item here. We have the monthly membership and it is a great deal. The vacuums that are available, make cleaning my car complete. I only took 1 star away due to the location in getting out, not all-around visibility when leaving from the north end. I'm not sure why the low stars, but with the exception of doing the cleaning/detailing yourself, this is a great option for those consistently on the go. read more

Great experience at this Brown Bear today (I've been to several others as well). There was no line, I selected the Beary Best and drove right in. When I came out and checked my car, it still had a few spots so I asked to go through again and the woman at the front, absolutely the kindest Brown Bear employee I've ever met, waved me on through. I didn't check it the second time, and forgot to look when I got home, but I'm sure it's fine. The wash experience was 4-stars; the customer experience took it to 5. Thanks, Brown Bear! read more

NEVER GO HERE. Took my Honda Civic through the wash. Came out and my weather strip was completely ripped off, and the entire side of my bumper was pulled off!!! Went to speak with someone on the incident. They not only said they can't do anything, but told me it was my responsibility since their cameras had shown that my bumper was loose. Are you joking? How is your camera seeing this? I just purchased this car and everything was fine. Do not tell me that this is my responsibility. I went through your wash and now my car looks like this. Did not offer to help or anything. Absolutely horrible horrible horrible customer service. Not to mention there was a guy who was in the same situation as me, except his entire side of his car was scratched!! read more

This is my second visit to this car wash. Both times they did a great job. As the previous reviewer said it is not touchless. I don't personally like touchless car washes it always seems to take two or three trips through a touchless to get clean. Brown bear was one pass through and beautiful it didn't miss a spot my Jeep thanks you. read more

Speedy car wash and the people are really nice. The equipment is too hard on today's vehicles. Back windshield wiper was broken and lost trim parts. The back of the vehicle was still 25% unclean. Asked the attendants to check for my lost parts which they did happily but with no success. They did find parts to several other vehicles. read more

If you want a completely smashed windshield, scratches all over your car, with dirt not completely washed off, having gotten their best $14.00 car wash, then head on in to Brown Bear Car Wash and they will happily do all this to your car! If you dare to complain about all the damage done to your car (mine being a Subaru Forester 2016), then one of the boys will tell you with a smile to go talk to the "On-Site Manager", but, gosh, darn it, "he's not here right now (at 10:40 A.M. on a sunny Friday morn'). Since I live within a block of Brown Bear Car Wash, I actually bugged them on the half-hour to speak to the "On-Site Manager". This went on till close to 6:00 P.M. when he finally showed up. No apologies, of course. After explaining and showing my damaged car to him, I'd to get an estimate for the damages, which was done within ten minutes from my long-time car mechanic's shop a block down the road. Brought back the estimate to him. He was stunned I'd done it so quickly. But, heck! no! He couldn't reimburse me. "Corporate don't allow us to do that. Ya gotta mail it into Corporate and it'll take six weeks for them to reimburse you." Corporate actually did reimburse me and had the gall to enclose a ticket for one of their cheapest, lousy car washes! Needless to say, it was my turn to put a smile on my face as I gleefully ripped up their cheap ticket, swearing that I'll never, ever go back to Brown Bear ever again! That was several months ago. Now I take my car into Union 76 Car Wash and for only five bucks, their car wash is sooo much better and safer for your car! read more

I purchased a Beary Best car wash today for $14.00. Then, I went around to vacuum my car. The sign on the vacuum CLEARLY SAYS the charge is $1.50. My bank statement two hours later showed a $5.00 charge, then, a $5.00 reverse charge. I called the corporate office in Seattle at (206) 789-3700. I explained the situation and the woman on the phone said, "It's just pending. Our bank does that. Later, it will show the correct charge." I said, "Your machine says the charge is $1.50. You were at no time authorized to charge my card $5. There is no minimum purchase warning on the vacuum. You can not randomly charge and reverse customer cards, $5.00." She said, "It's just pending." I said, "It's not about 'pending', the bank was never authorized to charge $5.00. Can I speak..." She cuts me off and said, "You're rude this call is over." No, I am not rude, BBCW. I wanted to speak to a corporate representative and your receptionist with no authority cut me off. Well, I will watch my bank statement carefully. And I will no longer patronize ANY of your establishments in the future. I would advise any consumer to not purchase things from any company that charges more than the authorized amount. read more

Ran my car through yesterday. Should have gone back but didn't know my car was still quite dirty until I got to the grocery store. Did not have the time to go back. When I pulled up the two guys stood there in their nice clean white shirts and black slacks and pointed to the sign to put my car in neutral. (Should have been my first clue.) They ran a long handled brush across my rear view window and I was thinking they were acting like they were on musclke realxants. NO effort whatsoever. (Second clue!) I used to go to the old ugly war wash that was there before and my car got clean EVERY time for years! Here I had water spots on my windows and mud running down the sides of my car because they didn't wipe it down. My car gets VERY dusty. I hosed it off a few days ago. I live up a long dirt road but there is NO excuse for the lack of effort on their part and no excuse for my car coming out of that wash, so dirty. read more
