I was never asked for permission to cut my lashes, which I would have refused. Three weeks later, my lashes are already longer than they were right after the service. So now I have to pencil in my brows to cover up the bullshit color that she put there without even getting my permission to do so. If you research her online, her and her father have been sued for apparently giving someone Hepatitis during the procedure in the past. She claimed to me that she herself makes and sharpens her own needles. Her prices are ridiculous too. She is not the inventor like she claims to be and her ego also rubbed me the wrong way. I was intrigued as the main makeup I wore on a consistent basis was eyeliner. I wasn't sure I would always wear dark brown eyeliner so I told myself I would wait a few years and see if I was still wearing the same color. Sure enough about 7 years later I realized that I was in fact wearing the same color and hated applying it just as much as ever. And honestly just to get it right I had to cake it on and then use zillions of q-tips to erase all of the excess and get a clean line. What a mess. From what I understand the way my eyelashes grow (zig zagging up and down in a major way) it makes sense that eyeliner was difficult to apply. So for Mother's Day in 2007 I treated myself to permanent eyeliner at The Perfect Look. LOVE! After nearly 4 years, it has remained looking awesome but I was ready to go thicker and darker. So I went back to The Perfect Look today to do just that. Julie is an artist, thorough and wants you to look amazing just as much as you want it for yourself. It is not as painful or uncomfortable as you may expect. Friends have asked me "but don't you miss your fresh (no makeup) face?". Uhhh, no - I don't! And actually you get so used to it that seeing yourself with permanent makeup becomes what you view as your fresh face.

I have sensitive eyes, skin, etc., and the UV process made a big difference in my eye irritation/watering. BIG plus. The longer-lasting benefit of UV is also SO true. Even after three weeks, I have PLENTY of lashes left. I was used to having to fill every 10-14 days, with 14 being a fairly naked eye situation. Now, let's talk all things Michelle!!!! First, she is some kind of pad-placing ninja. She applied the under-eye things so gracefully that I felt no discomfort during placement or the procedure! I've been to at least three other artists, and the pads always bother me. She's also the fastest lash-applier in the history of time. She said she can place 30 lashes in something like 15 minutes (Michelle, correct me if I'm wrong). I'm used to sitting in a chair for at least an hour. We all have busy lives, so Michelle's speed is a major yes. Michelle is also just a fun person. She asked me what kind of music I liked and explained the UV process and various lash types before we started. Her room is comfy, with soothing lighting and interesting decor.
