I then proceeded to get my face waxed as well......I highly advise against it if you are not aware of what time of wax you are sensitive to. They used a soft wax on my face which literally tore my skin right off, I was able to get my money back for the face wax but three weeks later my skin is still scared and is still peeling from the effects. While I was getting my face waxed I noticed that my face was getting rubbed slit towards the end with an aloe type lotion cause the technician could. It tell if the wax was still in face. It took me one look in the mirror to realize that it wasn't wax, she was just rubbing my skin super hard aggravating it more. So as far as threading and tinting goes, kudos they got that down. Waxing however, I'll stick to actual wax spa from now on

They also have a great 5 for $40 deal that I get that they started during the holidays. I'm on my second card. They are so thoughtful and are a welcome surprise considering they're a threading shop in a mall. It's gonna be tough when I move and have to find another spot.

It was VERY much needed after growing them out for the past few months (After an overzealous tweezing session, I ended up with pencil-thin brows!) My esthetician, Alondra, was super friendly, professional and very clean. She even wore gloves, which as an esthetician myself, gave me the warm fuzzies for her cleanliness/hygiene. Stepping inside the salon, it was very neat, clean, new and had comfortable salon chairs. I seriously forgot that I was still inside a Walmart, the music even drowned out the store noise! We had some interesting small talk about the esthetician/beauty business here in El Paso. She did a wonderful job on my brows, nicely cleaned up, shaped but leaving the fullness that I wanted. She also offered me the $10 lash extensions with my brow purchase(a great deal BTW!), but decided to wait on those until later this month. Awesome job! See you in 2 weeks!

She took me in late and I felt she was rushing so she could be on time for her next appointment. She had darkened my brows once before so I totally trusted her but I walked away with a disaster; obviously her priorities have changed. BEWARE!!!! I am now looking for a new permanent makeup artist to correct this nightmare disaster so that one day; I will be able to hold my head up high again.

I scheduled an appointment online with Suzy, however I got a call that she couldn't do that time…read moreand rescheduled me for 4pm. After I arrived I was greeted by Viri, who was scheduled to do my hair not Suzy. I asked for a caramel balayage, and showed the pic attached below. After hours in the chair I noticed that she was applying color a few inches from the root all the way to the ends. Balayage is supposed to be more of a natural painting and not an ombré which appeared to be what she was doing and what I ended up with. Balayage is more natural and ends should be darker with almost flows of color throughout the hair, almost like natural highlights. An ombré is a faded look top to bottom basically. My hair was so blonde she and the owner realized this was not caramel as I had asked and then applied more color to darken it on my entire head, roots to end. I appreciate them noticing this and attempting to correct it. 4 hours later, arrived at 4pm, left at 8pm. I ended up with a color almost similar to what I went in with. Basically all one color with the exception of my roots and not a balayage at all. The services came to a whooping $221! They charged me for all the blonde she originally put in and then had to cover. Had the color been applied properly it would not have required so much. I am not impressed with my hair, it is not terrible but not what I wanted and definitely not worth $221. I could have applied boxed dye at home and gotten the same or better results. I'm giving 3 stars because both Vira, that did my hair, and the owner were extremely nice. I watched the owner cut several boys and men's hair and did fabulous. While I'm not pleased with my hair and didn't get what I asked for, I would at least go back for a haircut but likely never color again. That's the risk we take when trying someone and something new. They did tell me I had 15 days from the time of service to come in if I wanted it lighten or darkened. I'm just scared to ask for any more color to be added not knowing what I'm going to end up with. So I'll likely take the $221 loss, and go buy a $10 box of dye and re-color my own hair.

Today (4/2), I actually went there where a sign says "Walk-ins Welcome" in the window. There was one person in the salon doing a manicure, there was NOT ONE stylist at any hair stations! When I inquired if I could get a cut and color some time today, I was told no, but to put my name on a list at the register, and she would look and see if she had anything available tomorrow. I left my name and phone number and a time frame I'd like an appointment, NO ONE has contacted me. I guess they don't want and/or need any new clientele. I'm new to the El Paso area, I'm sure there are many other salons that want my business, because I'm certainly not going to attempt a third try with this place!
