Copied & pasted from my friends FB page, This company uses bait & switch practices So I hired Brother Movers from Southampton, PA to move the furniture from my sister's house. I would not recommend them. They gave me quote for the move in email, & then when they were done jacked the price up by $40.00 extra an hour. They never advised me they were doing this. When I called the owner said she would refund me. Than an hour later sent me an email and said will not refund because her men did their job. You can't give someone a price and than charge higher without advising them. I just wanted to let everyone know so they can pick someone else. I had 4 guys from brothers do a move for me on 4/8/22. These guys are responsive any time you call which seems a rarity these days. They showed up on time and were as nice and accommodating as could be. Everything went as smoothly as I possibly could have expected. Would highly recommend. I should also note they get buried in a yelp search. Guessing one of those businesses that doesn't pay a yelp fee. Hopefully you come upon this listing on your search. read more

The team showed up on time and we were done ahead of the originally predicted time. They were very careful with our stuff and nothing got damaged during the move. We have used them for two of our moves now: from Long Island NY to King of Prussia PA and then from our rental in KOP to our permanent home in KOP. The movers were professional and did a great job, but there was a major issue trying to resolve payment. We payed using a personal check which the driver accepted and provided an invoice indicating paid in full. We were later contacted indicating that check could not be accepted because it was an "out of state" check. We were never informed that "out of state" checks are not accepted prior to the move AND the driver accepted the check as valid payment. Long story short, the company refuses to send back the original check prior to us sending them another form of payment. I wouldn't recommend this company on my worse enemy based on my experience trying to resolve a simple issue. read more

This was our third move with Brother's, and I'd never use another mover ever. They are professional, they are thorough, & they provide service with a smile. We moved from Holland PA to Fishtown, and the estimate from Brothers Movers was about 1/2 of what other moving companies were going to charge us. With 1 day of packing, and 2 days of moving, we were very pleasantly surprised that the bill was almost exactly what was quoted. Our experience with movers in the past had them billing us for lots of extras, and demanding cash. Brothers was not like that. We were thrilled. And, lest I forget, in the midst of our move, we had a snow storm! The move kept on going - flawless. BEWARE! This is the most unprofessional moving service I have ever used. I have been moved by numerous moving companies and the government and I would have the government move me again before ever looking at Brother's Movers. To repeat everything the other comments mention the Movers and especially the owners are rude and unprofessional. Sorry this is long but you need to know who you are dealing with when you contact this unprofessional company: * November 28, 2014: Day of the move 3 men showed up and took them 5 hours to move me from Pottstown to Philadelphia. The additional man was not asked for nor did Brothers Movers inform me that they would be providing an extra hand at an extra cost. This increased the amount I figured to pay by over $200.00. o During the move: The movers were required to take a California king size mattress from the bedroom to the truck. The day before my mother and I had flipped the mattress on its side to take apart the bed frame and we both distinctively remember there being no damage to the mattress. The mattress was laid down on carpet and the next people to touch or move it was Brothers Movers. After removing the mattress to the moving truck the movers noticed damage to the bottom of the mattress however they did not inform me of such damage at this time. After arriving at my new location the movers were moving in the mattress in they got the tags stuck in the track of the sliding glass door ripping the tags from the mattress. Also during the move I packed several of my more expensive and valuable goods in my Jeep. While doing this I walked outside and noticed the men were taking cell phone and smoking breaks during the time they were on the clock for my move. o After the move: while checking the grounds I discovered the movers had left numerous sheets of plywood and boxes on the ground and did not clean up. I had to clean up after these "professional" movers. * November 29, 2014: While adjusting the bed frame that the movers incorrectly assembled I flipped the mattress on its side and discovered a three foot tall "V" shaped tear in the bottom that goes completely through a three inch memory foam layer. I immediately took photos and emailed Laurie White at Brothers Movers discussing the unprofessionalism during the move as well as the damage to my mattress. The mattress is less than 2 years old and cost me $1769.14. From this point on the owners attempted numerous times to pass the blame on others from the manufacturer to even me. They offered up numerous ways the mattress could have been damaged and then proceed to argue against their own claims and never once accepted the responsibility for their damage. They were immediately hostile, insulting and lied numerous times in email. I offered numerous times to reach a settlement for damages since their poor insurance was only going to offer 120$ for the damage but their response and I quote ""There will be NO SETTLEMENT. See you in court since you don't want to use common sense." Apparently trying to resolve issues out of court and trying every avenue to get a better compensation amount is not using common sense. I have taken the following actions in an attempt to settle out of court: (1) I filed a claim with their insurance company but was only offered $120.00, I refused and asked for additional compensation with no response from Brothers Movers; (2) I asked for a counter offer from Brothers Movers in addition to the Insurance, no such offer received; (3) I checked my own renters insurance for a rider to cover the damage, no rider; (4) I took Brothers Movers advice and attempted to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer but do to Brothers Movers tearing the tags off my mattress during the move the warranty is void; (5) I sent a letter of intent to sue with a fair settlement option, this letter was received with negativity and Brothers Movers became hostile and combative, (6) I filed a complaint with the BBB, PUC, and Bucks County Consumer Protection to have them attempt resolution, they were hostile and combative towards me each time and not open to civil negotiations. I am an attorney and my email signature shows my profession and because of this aspect Brothers Movers was combative towards any settlement or negotiations with me. I fully communicated my feelings and opinions of their quality of work and they returned with crude comments and poor communication skills. They also demonstrated poor knowledge of the situation and the items involved and refused to take any responsibility for their actions and damage. They are a waste of time and energy and maybe within the next two years I will take them to court but I will let this stew for a little and hope Karma comes back around. read more

The Movers and Owner were unprofessional and rude. There are numerous scratches and marks on most of my walls. There are also several spots where the drywall was dinged and damaged. The hardwood floor in the utility closet was scratched when moving a filing cabinet. They arrived reeking of smoke, and took ongoing and numerous smoke breaks throughout the day. After receiving conflicting information from my husband and me regarding moving of one item, one Mover walked away from me and commented "I am sick of this shxx". When I commented that it was inappropriate, another Mover asked "What are we in bible study". I was floored! I have NEVER experienced paid contractors being so disrespectful. When this was communicated to the Owner, she similarly responded rudely and inappropriately. read more

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience with Brothers Movers this summer. The men were respectful, courteous, extremely hard-working (we moved to a third floor walk up and they never stopped moving!). Jim was especially helpful when it came to arranging some furniture pieces-which they were happy to do, and would re-arrange again later, if we so desired! I first used Brothers Movers back in 2003 when I needed to relocate around $300K of networking equipment from a site in Wilmington DE to a site in Philadelphia PA. I was so impressed by how they handled that move that I have never considered using any other mover for either my personal or corporate needs. I have used them for at least five other moves, including one last week. Each time, Brothers' pricing has been fair, their crews have been great, and the service has been excellent. I was moving my Farther to a assisted living facility on his request. We had to move from Chester county to Delaware county. The movers Doug, Elvis, and one other person who's name I forget arrived at 7:45 AM as promised. They had us packed and at the new place in less than hour and a half. Unloading they were even more efficient and careful with all of my Father's belongings. All totaled they were all done in 3 1/2 hours. The price was more than fair they even gave him a veteran discount. These guys are great. read more

I have to say that I was soooo impressed with this company, I was actually looking for a different mover with a similar name, but Laurie tried to look in the old records to see if I had used them before and was honest and said they were not the same company and would still try to help me out. The move was memorial day weekend, very busy and hot! But the movers arrived early and went to work at 7am on the dot. Packed and loaded my 2 bedroom apt, taking apart my couches, full L desk, dinette set and kings size bed, loaded it in the truck transported and loaded it into a 10x10 storage space, in 3.5 hours total, price was almost exactly what was quoted. I can't express my happiness towards this company it was soo stress free and they were very reassuring, they were drippng in sweat from working their butts off. They were terrible! Arrived late on purpose my concierge had to tell them to get started because they needed the loading dock. They took from 21st and market street to 18th and Spruce St. 28 minutes I walked it in 11 minutes and was waiting outside for them as they crawled up the street. Slow moving stuff to my unit again and charged me $416.00 for the full time. I had a hour and a half left and told the guys you can put my bed together since I paid for it and they look at each like I was crazy so I just walked away. Save your self the headaches. read more

Brothers Movers packed up our kitchen and dining room items (breakables) and moved our entire household of stuff (2 trucks) to our new home and we could not have been more pleased! Nothing got broken, nothing got damaged, there were no nicks on the walls in either home and the crew could not have been more courteous and hard working if they tried. We just used Brothers to move our house to a storage unit. They arrived on time and finished on time. Everything was just as the owner Laurie said it would be, all according to plan. They wrapped everything and handled it with care. I would definitely recommend them. In fact, we are planning to use them again in a few months when we make settlement on the new house. This is not a good company and Laurie is very difficult to deal with. The husband and wife "team" constantly argue with each other during the move and the wife Laurie is very rude. I was at best uncomfortable and felt like they were not very professional. I wouldn't suggest you use them and I would never use them again. read more

Brothers Movers was absolutely fantastic during our move on March 19, 2014. They arrived right on time, went to work immediately and couldn't have been any nicer or neater. Don (the Dad) really went beyond the "call of duty" by telling me I needed a cap for my dryer gas hose (which I went to Lowes to purchase) and then fixing a leaking water valve for my refrigerator!! He was terrific as was his son (Don, jr.) and the rest of the crew. Don, jr. drew the short straw and had to move my refrigerator from a very tight spot - he did a fabulous job. Overall - I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this moving company - on time, fast, neat, well priced. read more
