(If you're taking off time from work to meet them, this is not a great system.) The installation left a lot of details that needed to be addressed, and they came back three times to do these. We were also sent invoices twice that were more than the accepted proposal amount and had to straighten that out. We're very happy with the countertops, but the process took too long with too many phone calls.

I decided now it was time to replace, I went with Cambria quartz, am very pleased with my choice, they even have an employee who will come hook up the new sink for 150.00, so you are not without a usable kitchen more than a couple hours which is awesome. Now the problem, when Mo measured it said I would have a small gap between backsplash and quartz and my husband could just close it with caulk. Well it was more than a small gap and it was left that way. After paying $8000 I expect a finished product. That was not the case, we tried caulking but gap was too big, I spoke to them and wrote to them, they sent one of their team members to look at it, he said he could do it but it would be 250.00 I had the caulk. So I really had no other choice other than to hire him, I sure was not going to leave it with the gap, and the way we attempted it, it looked awful. So yesterday the gentleman showed up and finished the job, he did not have an easy time with it, but it does look nice. I just feel they should have finished it without an extra charge. It is like a racket everyone there has a skill to do things but to have it complete, it is 150.00 for plumbing which is fine but then another $250 to have it caulked. I was also told Silver Lake the Company they use for sinks does not make grates, through much research I found Silver Lake grates at Wayfair, another $50. Bottom line, I would not use them unless you were having them do the entire job or expect an extra charge here or an extra charge there. So Beware.

It appears this company primarily services Home Depot's countertop program; in my view, that relationship keeps them in business despite poor customer service. After this experience I will not shop at Home Depot again, and I want others to know about my experience with Eastern Surfaces.

There work was careful, extraordinary, fast and beyond reasonably priced. They not only made us a great counter and backsplash they installed it with ease. The difficulty of our space is there isn't a flat or straight wall in our 1929 apartment. These guys cut a piece of stone perfectly for us. From initial conversation to measurements to two installs within one week (first counter then the backsplash) these guys were easy to deal with.
