However, once we made the initial payment, the staging dates began to shift repeatedly. When the staging was eventually completed, it became clear that the space had not been properly planned for. It seemed like the furniture was selected without fully considering the layout of the home, which resulted in a disjointed final look. When we raised concerns, the response we received often felt dismissive, and responsibility was repeatedly shifted back to us. Over the following weeks, after multiple discussions, we were eventually able to get some of the furniture replaced. However, these delays pushed the project timeline back by nearly a month. As a result, the photographer was not able to come on schedule, and we missed the peak selling period of the season. To make matters worse, during the de-staging process, one of their team members accidentally removed or discarded the hardware for an expensive grill, causing additional damage estimated at several hundred dollars. Throughout the process, the Voila team largely denied responsibility for the issues raised. While they described their service as "premium staging," much of the furniture appeared low quality and inconsistent with that positioning. Overall, the delays, damages, and lack of accountability resulted in significant financial and timing losses on our end.

I own Mitchell Precision Builders. Frank from FHC Construction hired me to build a dormer for…read more$2,800. Day one, he rushed me in before demo was even done. Day two, plumbing was being run through the dormer -- which should only happen after framing -- and the homeowner had to come back himself to remove it so I could keep working. Then we hit a major problem: Frank's blueprint was no good because he didn't account for a chimney directly in the way of the dormer. The elevation showed no chimney, and the floor plan wasn't labeled with one -- it's all visible in my finished dormer video: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGvonj3-Mk/watch. We couldn't build what was on the print. I worked with the architect to redesign it -- raised the height, widened it, changed materials -- while Frank dealt with the township and had to resubmit a new blueprint. I even picked up some of the new materials myself. I issued a $1,000 change order for the required fixes, which Frank agreed to in writing. Then he got disrespectful. On the last day, I finished the dormer without him ever showing up, even though he said three times he'd bring payment. At 10 PM, he dropped a check in my mailbox for only the original amount. Since then, he's blocked me on every platform. We even had additional work lined up for my company that is now canceled. This whole ordeal has left me at a -$200 profit, pushed back my other projects, and caused problems with my subcontractors due to rescheduling.
