Thomas arrived in 7 minutes, assessed the situation and brought in one of his crew to start work. Before they could start, a roomful of personal items needed to be removed from the space that my aunt and I could not have handled on our own. He and his partner helped get that moved out quickly, but sensitively, before ripping out the carpeting and carpet padding, then setting up fans and humidifier. They worked so hard over several hours. Thomas visited everyday to check progress. We felt better for having them doing the work. Thomas' demeanor and thoughtfulness kept us calm and reassured, which felt as important as the work he and his partner did. As such, I advised my client to perform a thorough mold inspection anyway and Thomas (Tom) Avila with PuroClean came out promptly and set up an impressive multi part air sample capture system and he went around the house taking swab samples as well. His report was detailed and helped us determine that there was still some mold in the house. Further remediation was negotiated and thanks to Thomas with Puroclean everthing went smoothly. We had…read morepreviously gotten a quote from a different company that was highly rated on Yelp and my husband had almost booked them. It sounded like they were offering a good deal, but they only included one mold sample. When I ran it by my friend she highly recommended that I call Thomas because of his high integrity and honesty. There are apparently a lot of sketchy companies out there that use dishonest tactics to upsell mold remediation, charging little for the initial check and then telling you to fix a lot of unnecessary things. I called Thomas and everything my friend had said was true. He told me I had to fix any leaks before doing the mold check so I wouldn't waste my money. He also gave me a lot of excellent advise. The quote for the initial check was a little more than the other company but it was much more thorough and included numerous samples, as different rooms can have different levels and you really need to test several areas for your safety. When dealing with something as serious as mold you do not want to be cheap, your family's health depends on it. Also, you may get a cheaper rate by someone else but then they get you by telling you that you have to fix a bunch of things, and it ends up being much more expensive. I really wish there were more honest people like Thomas in Miami!

single mom here! from Miami! and a new (first time) homeowner!…read more I'm SO HAPPY to have found and connected with RELIABLE and TRUSTWORTHY people! having recently discovered that I am super reactive to mold, I decided to have my new home inspected for mold. A fellow Miami mom from a FB group posted about this company and highly recommended them, so I reached out. Edgar responded immediately and scheduled a FREE inspection for the following day. He came over with one of his team members and checked out my home. He gave me some new homeowner tips too which I super appreciate as a new homeowner! Being a remediation company, OTM wasn't able to test for mold in the rooms we suspected could be an issue. So he connected me to another company, MOLD ASSESSMENT SERVICES (check out my review for them too) that helped me out just as good! After results were in that there was in fact mold in these areas, OTM came back and serviced my home - while I was out of town! I have to mention that because the fact that I could trust someone with my new home while I was out of town is a BIG THING!! for me anyway! Not only did we have to remove mold and sanitize the entire home, we also had to replace the drywall and paint the ceiling AND get the air ducts and A/C unit cleaned - so much I know!!! The A/C company that came out was SO FLOW AC - check out my review for them too!! Thankfully Edgar had a contact for everything that had to get done and scheduled it all to be done before I arrived back home - so APPRECIATED!! He was the lead on the project and stayed in touch with me the entire time. Sent me updates along with pictures of the process everyday! EVERYONE that was involved in getting my home back to a healthy and safe place to live in did an AWESOME JOB!
