Fortunately he and the car were fine. The Duncanville Tire Center is quick, cheap, responsive, and really helped my son quickly to get back on the road. They fixed the blowout tire, and sold us another tire on the front, because it really needed it. My son was in an out in 20 minutes for less than $90 for two tires (granted they were used). Five-Star Service & Honesty!…read more I had an excellent experience at Discount Tire thanks to Senior Assistant Manager Kevin Hunter and his team. I brought in my mother's vehicle after being told one tire was dangerously low on tread. Kevin took the time to show me the tread readings and explain exactly what was needed without any pressure. I decided to purchase three new tires and also requested an alignment. When I returned later that afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had checked the alignment and found it was nearly perfect--so they didn't perform an unnecessary service or charge me for one. That level of honesty and integrity really stood out to me. They could have easily charged me, and I would have been none the wiser. I dropped the vehicle off around 1 PM without an appointment, and despite being extremely busy and working in 100+ degree Texas heat, they had everything taken care of by about 4:30 PM. I've used Discount Tire before and have always appreciated their tire warranty and great customer service, but this experience reinforced why I'll continue coming back. I have been screwed around by them on no less than three occasions. First, I went there with a flat tire to be plugged. They told me the tire couldn't be plugged because "the hole was too big" (it had been made by a bolt I ran over). They offered to sell me a nice used tire since this one wasn't "repairable." I took it to Discount Tire, they plugged it and had it back on my car in 15 minutes, and all for no charge I might add. I drove on that tire for another 20,000 miles with no problem. Second, I asked them to fix a slow leak in another tire, and they wouldn't do it because there was "uneven wear" on the tire...they said the tire wouldn't be "safe." They offered to sell me a good used tire instead. There was, in fact, and small amount of uneven wear, but it wasn't to the point where the tire was unsafe. I took the tire to a place in Waxahachie called "Tire Town" that is run by some real nice folks; I trust them to not put me on an unsafe tire. They said there was no problem with the tire being used for a while longer. I drove on the tire for another 5000 miles with no problem before I changed the full set out. Recently, I tried to get them to put a tire on my vehicle that I had saved from a recent change out...it had by my estimation another 10,000 miles on it. No dice..."uneven wear" again...but of course, they had a tire they'd sell me to replace that one. I told them to stick it and took it to another place, which changed it out with no issue. See the pattern here? Forget these clowns. Don't go there.
