My dad passed suddenly and I was looking for a will because there was no info left behind and our mother has also passed. I am 24 and have no idea what I'm doing so I thought my best option was to just call around and see if anyone could help me. Katie answered and I explained my situation. I was unaware that other family members had called and instead of just telling me this and that there was no record, she berated me for being the 4th person to call, and AFTER I apologized for the inconvenience, continued to tell me what a bother this was and that we needed to remove their office from "the list" and even used the phrase "no attorney wants to hear from you 4 times." Of course I don't want to waste anyone's time and I did apologize for doing so, I feel awful for that. No family is perfect and organized, especially in times like these, but a little bit of compassion for someone in a horrible situation would not have hurt. Extremely unprofessional and insensitive, and not what you would expect from a firm specializing in estate planning. Save yourself the extra heartache during your difficult life moments and go elsewhere.
