It doesn't stock some of the items that are available at the Prestwick branch so I don't spend as much at Irvine . It's an ok shop. But I was annoyed today by the downright rude assistant in the self scan. I needed wine authorising. She came up behind me giving me quite a fright. Didn't say a word to me in greeting. I greeted her and she said nothing. She authorised the alcohol and I thanked her. She said nothing. She walked away having not acknowledged I was a human being. Absolutely woeful customer service. I wonder if the fact I'm elderly and in my 70s had something to do with her thinking I wasn't worth being civil to?

A lovely big new store. Everything you could ever need under one roof. They've got clothes, tv's,…read moreelectrials, cafe and of course food. Very easy to do your weekly shopping here. The shelves are usually well filled, always lots of staff around to help. Sometimes the queues can get a bit big at checkouts but they usually bring more on so you don't have to wait too long. Very pleasant shopping experience.

Let's face it all their stores are much the same these days and I wish there was a defining feature to big up but there really isn't. It has a petrol station if that is a positive defining feature and an area to pick up your internet ordered shopping. Ok I'm going to tap out at this point. It's just a tesco.

Duty manager stated he would investigate my complaint and advised front line customer services were also wrong. They gave me a number to call TESCO HQ the number provided on a Tesco card was no longer in use. What a terrible overall service and approach by staff at the Irvine shop.
