Hands down, my favorite Maryland landmark! It really is breathtaking. Even in the fall and winter I enjoy walking here and taking in the scenery! Parking is super easy and there's always others around who enjoy this place. There's no food or picnics allowed. If you've never been here, you need to visit!

This has become an annual event, with this year being year one. My family LOVES Brookside Gardens, and we have so many incredible memories from coming here. My mom is particularly fond of these gardens and is always rallying the troops for a visit.

What a lovely garden, even in the fall! My friend brought me here the other afternoon just so we could get outside and stretch our legs. I was surprised that even with nothing in bloom and leaves falling all around, it was still a beautiful garden. They have a nice dedication area to the victims of the DC sniper and a Japanese Garden area as well. They just put up the Christmas lights and are getting ready to have their Xmas garden lights exhibit that they have. You have to pay for that, but I think it would be well worth it, otherwise this place is free. No dogs allowed.

This place is lovely! And extra points for it being free. Parking can be a little tough over the weekends but there are always people coming and going so if you are patient you will get a spot. The gardens are not huge, but there is a lot to see! My kids loved the children garden, specially the "mud kitchen". The Japanese garden was my favorite, keep an eye out for the fishes, turtles and ducks- so cute!! I loved that there were benches thought out the gardens to unwind and appreciate the views. We'll be back for sure!

I have come here in the spring and the summer with my daughters (10 and 12). Spring is definitely better as all the flowers are blooming and the gardens are vibrant with color. There are lots of ponds, flower displays and some large grassy areas. It's so peaceful. You can easily spend an hour there. It's great for all ages. We have seen turtles in the water and blue herons walking/flying around. There are sections that reminded us of the Japanese Friendship Gardens that we used to visit back when we lived in San Jose. Parking is free and we had never had an issue finding a spot. I would highly recommend.

One of the best hidden treasures in Montgomery county. Great walking trails, tranquil gardens and always being well maintained. It's my favorite place to spend the day in nature.

Such gorgeous gardens in all seasons! It's a lovely place to wander with a lot of variety. The gardens are free and very manageable to walk around in a couple hours. They also have a butterfly house in the spring/summer which you do need to get tickets for, but is very worth it with so many beautiful butterflies!

We always go here during spring time. We had a great time seeing all the blooming flowers. It was a nice quick walk around the area. Its always so beautiful and clean bathrooms. They always have made it so well kept. Its a nice area just to walk around and be amazed with all kinds of flowers around.

Most delightful place I have found in silver spring so far! I love going for walks here and the Christmas lights were so beautiful and magical! My baby loves going here and I can't wait for this summer to go picnicking!

I stopped by these gardens several years ago in early spring and forgot to write a review, but there is no excuse to postpone sharing my pictures this time around: on my second (11/02/2025) visit to this beautiful garden, I'm impressed by the beauty of colorful fall foliage around several ponds, as well as vibrant plants in the greenhouses.

It is nice to see when the leaves change colors during the Fall months. It is even better to see them at Brookside Gardens - that is the last time I visited this place. I took a stroll throughout the landscape and soaked in the wonderful views. There is so much to this place and what I saw is probably just half the visit. The day I went, I grabbed a map from the Visitors Center which is right by the main parking lot (next to the gift shop). It was a nice day, and I was looking forward to walking throughout these gardens. I liked that there were a few benches to sit here and there and even water fountains available (I didn't check to see if they worked). It is just nice to take a seat at times and be amazed at the views surrounding you. I also checked out both conservatories - as you walk through one, it leads you into the other - so many pretty flowers. I loved it. I am looking forward to going back this year - when their rose garden is fully ready. Now, that will be a sight to behold. Visited October 2023

Brookside Gardens is my happy place. I love going on walks and admiring the beauty of nature. The groundskeepers at Brookside need to be commended. Every plants and every tree is well thought out. While there are hours listed on the website, you can go to the gardens during off hours. However, you will not have access to the conservatories nor the bathrooms. You can still walk around and enjoy the gardens though.

I contacted Nature's Friends to sort out my issues and Cliff was over at my house in no time. He talked through any prior water retention issues I had, and came up with a plan to future proof our house from any flooding that could happen with big storms. The crew were back out within a few days and executed the plan as Cliff specified. The laborers placed one of the pop-ups a little too close to the house, and without any intervention, the day-of-supervisor spoke with me to let me know they would extend it according to plan, and corrected everything. They also replaced my sump pump, which was not the easiest thing due to a seized grate closure (see pics), and at a fraction of the price quoted by plumbers. I was really impressed with how quick everything was completed, and for a job like this (digging long trenches to run PVC), my yard looks nearly immaculate. They gave me instructions to heal the grass patches so my lawn would look as it did before in no time. After the work was done, Cliff reached out to make sure all was working well when it rained. I highly recommend reaching out to Nature's Friend for any of your needs -- you can tell they really care about their customers, and I will be reaching out to them for any future landscaping needs.
