This spot underwent a glow up and a rebrand since the last time we were here and I love it!…read morePreviously you would do your shopping in the big building on the property (where I assume they do a lot of the processing and kept all their equipment, it felt kind of like a "facility" or warehouse of sorts) and it was pretty barebones. And it was fine! Better than fine because the blueberries were so good! I had no complaints. But now they've leveled up. Now it's not just good blueberries but good ambiance as well! They've converted another smaller building next to it as a storefront and it's chock full of blueberry based goodies like jams, jellies, baked goods, dips, mustards, beverages, etc. Way more to choose from! They also sell ice cream and added a play structure to help entertain the kiddos that get a little bored of picking (smart). The day of our visit it was around 100 degrees and humid so I was not up for picking myself. Instead I arrived ready to buy a box of pre-picked fruit in bulk like I had in the past. I walked into the cute new storefront, scanned the shelves, and panicked. There were no boxed berries to be seen! Was this no longer a thing?? U-pick only?? Why God why!? No need to panic, the really lovely woman at the counter explained to me. They just ran out because nobody wanted to pick in the heat (fair) and they had another load of blewbs (just processed and boxed) enroute and arriving at any moment, she just wasn't sure when exactly. Our time in town was limited so we decided we'd come back instead of waiting. She assured me there would be plenty available. And she was right! A couple of hours later we came back to find the coolers absolutely stocked full of 5lb boxes. I was fielding requests from the family back home to bring them some so in the end I bought 20 pounds worth. I also added a blueberry lemon coffee cake for good measure. Great visit! Wonderful changes! Lovely personnelle! And most importantly, the blueberries are still amazing. Next time I just hope it's cooler so I can get an ice cream cone that wasn't going to liquify the moment I stepped outside.

Loved this spot! It's a classic Michigan blueberry farm but what sets it above some U-Pick spots to…read moreme is how easy and close everything is. Right when you park, you'll see a large area to buy goodies (pies, cookies, produce), you'll see animals to pet, and then blueberries to pick. We went in late July and the berries were abundant (and delicious). We definitely tried our way through some favorites and then picked entirely too many. We ended up eating most and adding tons to blueberry pancakes over our vacation weekend in South Haven. Can't remember the exact prices but cheaper than I've paid for berries all summer, I know that much. And we ALWAYS have blueberries in the house. Also loved the super sweet blueberry lemon sugar cookie that they had in their shop, and felt welcome by the friendly staff. Lastly, speaking to how close everything is both on the farm and off; this is quite close to downtown South Haven when driving, but still feels way out in the country. It's a perfect combo, IMO, and we'd come back again and again if we lived near here.

We have been coming to bumbleberry acres for 3 years now. We love picking blueberries, playing at…read morethe park and finishing the day with a ride on the tractor barrel ride. When we arrived today we were pretty bummed that bumbleberry changed how they run the farm. We used to be able to give everyone a bucket and then the blueberries would be weighed and we would take them home. Now, be prepared to pay 12 dollars a bucket(you get to keep it). It's not the same experience when you are walking to the fields and the entire family needs to share a single bucket. We also adored the low key barrel ride. I believe it was about 5 dollars a ticket in the past. Now, you must pay 12 dollars per child plus 5 dollars per adult to watch your child play and go on a barrel ride. The petting zoo, bumbleberry chair, tire castle, everything is gated off. We passed and noticed most families did the same. This would have cost our crew 45 dollars for one ride (two toddlers, 4 adults). What was once a quaint family farm now feels off. We will be picking somewhere else next year.

This is a little, out-of-the-way U-pick blueberry spot that I like returning to year after year…read more You're unsupervised and payment is based on the honor system. I've been to larger commercial U-pick spots where they micromanage you and I don't like it at all. Here, you can wander around many rows of berries and pick what you like, and they offer several varieties of blueberries, which ripen at slightly differ times, and you can discern the flavor differences! It's not very busy when I went, I guess because they don't spend money on advertising, and so the savings get passed onto you. It also means there's not a lot of competition for blueberries and you're out of each other's hair. It's slightly unkempt at some areas, but I don't mind. They also had wild blackberries growing among the blueberry bushes. I saw a wild turkey hen and chicks too. Fun place!

This spot works in an honor system, so you use their bucket, weigh your berries and pay by leaving money in the box. It was only $1.75 per pound, which is way more berries than you'd expect! The berries are absolutely delicious. I liked this quiet spot much more than the large farms in the nearby areas. I'd highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area.
