Extremely disappointed with my service…read more A couple months in, I had no problems with Heron. Then I came home after a few days away, and found numerous spots in my lawn that were dead. Even in some of the healthiest parts of my yard. My neighbor was having the same experience. Turns out, we both had Heron spray that week. After 3 weeks of calling Heron where I was told "a manager will call you today," a manager eventually did call me back. Through all my interactions, I was given 4 different excuses for why the grass died. However, the manager told me he could fix it. (Yes, I was skeptical.) A few days later I get an email saying I need to resod my grass and that it is the customer's responsibility to do so. Obviously, Heron did something to my yard. I would have appreciated them simply admitting it, and us finding a resolution. I was better off never hiring Heron. I would have given them a lower rating, but at least they were friendly and they never charged me during this dead-grass fiasco.

On **June 10**, Heron installed a sprinkler system at my property. During the installation, their equipment cut straight through my underground downspout drain pipe, causing damage to my property. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to get this resolved: * **June 24:** First call requesting to speak with a manager. * **July 3:** Second call. * **July 8:** Third call, they also emailed **Thomas, the branch manager and Anthony the regional manager. * **July 9:** A Heron sprinkler technician came to service my property (unaware of the issue as this was just a service). I showed him the damage, and he told me he would personally speak with his manager and also called him while he was there. Despite all of these attempts, I have never received a call back from management. It's incredibly frustrating that a company can cause property damage and then completely ignore a customer who is simply asking them to make it right. At this point, my next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because this seems to be the only way to get Heron's attention. I would have much preferred to resolve this directly, but after weeks of unanswered calls and emails, I have no confidence that this company intends to take responsibility for the damage they caused. If you're considering using Heron, I hope your installation goes smoothly--because if something does go wrong, my experience has been that getting a response from management is nearly impossible.

I discovered reading through all the BBB complaints that so many people have had the same experience as me- incomplete services, misrepresentation, and being harassed by the billing department in Cincinnati, who are a bunch of robots from what my experience has indicated. In fact, I just recently remembered that Jose Diaz, the sales guy that came to our home, told me that people don't know that they're talking to AI on the other end of their line. Wake up people, this is what you get with ARTIFICIAL "intelligence". After all the requests, and then demands that they only communicate with me in writing, I finally received something in writing this evening... An email from their collection agency in California. This is the problem with this company... You deal with people here locally for the service, but the billing department is in Cincinnati and then their bulldog company/collection agency is in California. My experience has indicated that none of them talk to each other except to attack with the collections agency by the billing department. Only deal with companies where everything is local! Yesterday, I received a text from David, who I assume is a manager, he's never identified himself as to his job title, that stated he had been working on my account and that the balance was adjusted to zero. And then today I get the collections agency email demanding payment. I am posting a screenshot of David's text. He may work out of the Altamonte Springs location but it's really hard to get any information from these people. Be sure to read through all the BBB complaints,. Rentokil has bought Terminix as well and some complaints indicate there may be other companies that Rentokil has bought. It seems they've grown too big for their britches and that has made their services deplorable. Also be sure to search Indeed and Glassdoor for employee reviews. There are some real whopper stories out there. Seems to be a good indicator why their services have so many complaints from customers. If you're stupid enough to call these people and begin service, make sure you demand EVERY DETAIL discussed be IN WRITING BEFORE you sign their little iPad. Because once you sign, that's when the nightmare begins.
