I'd been meaning to check out the truck for some time but hadn't until last week. It was worth the wait! The truck's menu is extensive and took me a few minutes to dissect, but I ultimately went with my gut feeling and decided upon the butternut squash with curry sauce (I'd read Marvin M.'s review prior to going to the truck and trusted his opinion on this menu item; he was right ... it was AMAZING!) and the bacon & chocolate bread with raspberry Chambord sauce. That also was, uh, AMAZING. My only regret is that I ordered the small-sized squash. After finishing it, I immediately craved more. Faith F., you are very fortunate to have had a full order! I'm extremely envious. This squash was so good that I'm pretty sure I'd go out of my way to obtain a full order. The bacon & chocolate bread was a big draw for me. I'd heard about it on the truck's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Eclectic-kitchen/192234084170293?fref=ts) and wanted to go to the truck for that alone prior to discovering Marvin raving about the squash. (I then had at least two reasons to go.) The bread, by itself, is outstanding, but it's even better with that Chambord sauce. It was delicious. I can't wait to have it again. I highly recommend this truck to any food truck fans - you're in for a treat! I'm not sure when anyone will get to have any of this truck's food again, though ... according to the Facebook page, it may be away for 6+ weeks. I'm not sure why, but I can't wait until its return and I'm praying that its hiatus doesn't become permanent.

Being new to the circuit I have met some wonderful people and eaten some delicious food at many food trucks. I follow my favorite food trucks on Twitter and find them in a variety of outdoor events. One that I follow religiously is Eclectic Kitchen Chef T is cookin' it up and making it happen each time. The sweetest woman I have ever met. Actually, when I am alone and buying food from other trucks, I go with Chef T and share my food with her. She is a huge foodie and enjoys all types of dishes like I do. The food at Eclectic Kitchen is delicious and like something I have never had before. Her menu changes, but this is a menu she had for one of the Food Truck Bazaars in Orlando. (@Foodtruckbazaar). I was lucky enough to be joined by @kokocooks and @xobejm on this evening. My two favorite Food Truck companions. We started with the Shrimp and Corn fritters. Drizzled with sweet curry remoulade. The order starts with 4 fritters. They looked so good that I ate one immediately and only took a picture of three fritters. Next dish was the Coq Au Vin and Spatzle. Braised chicken in red and white wines, fresh herbs, mushroom, sautéed homemade German style egg noodles. This dish was out of this world. Very tasty. Next up, The Vegetarian Butternut Squash Gnocchi. Homemade Gnocchi sautéed in curry sauce, fried leeks to garnish. One word: AMAZING! This dish was hard to share as I wanted it all for myself. When I first ate at Eclectic Kitchen this was my first dish. Many many months later it is still one of my favorites. We ended the day with the Fried Bananas. In wonton wrappers drizzled with local honey and toasted sesame seeds to sprinkle. @kokocooks, @xobejm, and I were super stuffed with these dishes. We started and ended our day there. Very much worth trying. Chef T will always greet you with a smile. Also, important to note that all her serving dishes are "compostable byproducts of sugar cane and wheatgrass from World Centric".

I was really happy to see a new truck with unique menu items such as Fried rice balls (money balls) filled with egg and bacon! As soon as i saw that among other very promising items, i was sold. Though it was a very busy first night for them and it took a long time to get our food, i can say that it was worth waiting for. The Rice balls had great flavor all on its own, but, put some of that garlic cilantro sauce combined with their house made spicy sauce and it took the rice balls to a whole new level of yumminess! looking forward to get this again. We also ordered the "grand slam" this dish consisted of delicious boneless short ribs marinated in their bbq sauce, and OMG was it delicious! Amazing flavor, tender and Juicy. No wonder why the offer this same boneless short ribs by the pound! Those ribs could be addicting if fallen into the wrong taste buds, haha. Also with the dish came pork Lumpias but you have the choice to get them with turkey instead. All of it was laying on a bed of white rice, the dish it's of very generous size and if you're not a glutton like me you can probably share this dish for 2, everything was of great portion, the beef, the rice and the little lumpias. I hope they keep this up! The girl taking our order was very sweet and apologetic for the food taking a while to come out. I thought they handled they situation very well and made a nice gesture and walked around giving everyone free drinks, although i didn't mind the wait time i was glad to see they had good business practice. I hope people will understand how hard is to sell good food and won't hold this first night against them and give them a second chance, I'm certainly excited about this truck and I' m sure other foodies will be too. I can not wait to try more food of their menu. The Lava burger and Yellow Belly tacos are next on my radar :)

My husband and I typically share our meals, but he scarfed nearly the whole thing down (which was huge) before j even sat down. . After nearly losing a finger when I tried to take a bite I decided to let him finish and start on my favorite dish, Pho. The broth was amazing and the veggies, plentiful. However as soon as my husband smelled the broth, there was a second spoon in the bowl. Luckily he was nearly comatose from his entree, and only managed to steal a few bites and I was able to finish my delicious meal in peace. I highly recommend this food truck

Initially, I communicated with…read moreMonica, one of their staff members, who was incredibly helpful in discussing options for our upcoming open house (we are just opening a business and were trying to find unique options for catering). After thorough discussions about dates and menu selections, I placed a deposit and paid in full, excited about the event. However, we encountered an unexpected issue when we learned that our landlord would not allow us to have the necessary parking spots for their setup. We informed the catering company about this development two months in advance, and as soon as we found out how unrelenting our landlord would be in this situation. Despite the two months advance notice, we were disappointed to find out that our $500 deposit was non-refundable--a detail not clearly stated in any of their documentation before or after signing. After Monica left the company, I was left to deal with the owner, who was unprofessional and angry about the situation. It felt frustrating as we couldn't control the landlord's decision, yet we were met with hostility. Being a new business, we hoped for understanding and flexibility, but the owner's unwillingness to accommodate us was disheartening. Ultimately, I would not recommend using [Catering Service Name]. The lack of transparency regarding their refund policy and the poor customer service experience has left a sour taste, and I believe that new businesses should be cautious before putting down any deposits.

They convert a simple trailer to a themed truck with siding to hide the wheels, tables for condiments, bayou decor and music. They were the only food truck to think ahead and provide a canopy for their patrons on this rainy evening. For $7 I got a shrimp po'boy which came piled high with nicely seasoned shrimp and a soft hoagie roll. The po'boy was super messy with a delicious sauce (not too spicy), lettuce and tomato. Everything tasted very fresh. I was pleasantly surprised when a side of red beans and rice came with. The red beans and rice were excellent as well. It was a hearty side but not too heavy for a June night. There were big chunks of sausage in the sauce too- a meal unto itself. I always feel like I overpay for a food truck meal but at Blue Bayou the pricing is right. The employees were very friendly, staffed well so the wait wasn't bad and they were one of the first trucks open. I will definitely eat at this truck when I see them again.
