We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. And now I understand why. The atmosphere is fantastic in the main dining room, which is where we were seated. It wasn't overly loud. The cocktail list is extensive, and they were delicious. The jambalaya was spicy and fantastic. I had the pasta with vegetables and it was fantastic as well. The cream corn appetizer was out of this world. I didn't know cream corn could be so amazing. Service was wonderful. As was the brownie they brought me for my birthday with candles. Top-notch service amazing food. We will definitely be back again. And I can't wait. We also added some large games to our space as well. We then made it upstairs for our dinner program and the buffet was amazing! Delicious and tenor serving they have a very nice event space upstairs. The staff were very nice. Two notes would just be that they had our program run on a court back to back with another group so it was ackward since we needed all those large games set up, had preset beverages and appetizers. Plus a full check in table. The other court was empty so I'm not certain why we weren't just in the other space. Then they also only had the front bar open in the first hour versus the one right at the courts and bowling where we were and other guests enjoying their time. In the case of our group it also left us separated into two since as they waited for drinks then they just became comfortable in the front bar talking. They did open the upstairs bar once we moved up there. I would book an event here again I would just make sure to clearly note some of those details and/or even book the court an extra hour to ensure no crossover even though I was able to set up 15 minutes before our event start. Everyone had a really fun time and for many it was their first time experiencing it.

The arrangement was delivered right on time Monday, less than one business day later, and arrived in perfect condition despite Milwaukee's chaotic February weather. The flowers themselves were gorgeous--intentional, comforting, and clearly made with heart. I couldn't be there in person, but this made me feel like I could still offer some solace in the moment. It's clear this small business understands how meaningful these gestures are and treats them with real integrity. Needless to say, I will definitely order from Welke's again!

I attended a wonderful wedding last night at the only barn wedding facility in the state. Women…read morewore dresses, skirts and pant outfits. Men wore suits, business casual and jeans. The barn was nice and clean. They have beautiful bathrooms. The wedding ceremony was at 500pm in front of the oldest hickory tree in the county. They set up 200 chairs with an aisle down the middle for the wedding party to enter. The property has a nice area to take pictures and enjoy and outdoor pre-reception. Our reception was inside the barn we ate comfortably and heard bride and groom stories, prayer, a charge from the father of the bride. Dinner was catered by Thunder Bay Grill. The wedding party DJ played nice taped music during the dinner. Dessert was a cheesecake. At the end of the reception we launched balloons with lights in them sending off in the air on a new adventure, just like the bride and groom. A beautiful night. I highly recommend this facility.

The rumors the previous reviewer mentioned are the result of some members who didn't agree with the choices made by club leadership (all members). While I may agree that some members don't agree with all the decisions, this is just grousing and doesn't change the quality of the tennis, teaching, or facilities. To many, this is the the top tennis facility in the Southeastern WI region with many of the top junior players present. Internal politics are present in every organization, so don't just listen to those who complain.
